----------------------------------
Several weeks had passed since school began.
The academy classes mainly focused on the Will of Fire, a concept that didn't particularly interest Naruto. While other kids were captivated by the stories of past heroes, Naruto's mind often drifted to his meditation training. He found the idea of learning about chakra before the others far more compelling than listening to tales of battles he couldn't yet comprehend.
When the other kids were playing or studying history, he kept training every morning.
For now, it seemed that no one noticed what he was doing, not even Jiji.
The last time he came to visit, he looked happy with his test results and gave him a set of furniture to decorate his house.
Replacing the old furniture, he organized the new set and made some space to study and think about his training.
He had never used all the space before, so the house always looked empty. Now, at least, he was happy to stay at home, having gained all of this through his efforts.
"This damn thing is so difficult. How do adults learn this? Even now, they don't teach us Chakra" Feeling hopeless about his future, he didn't know how he could accelerate his learning and get ahead of the other kids.
He had to be the first.
"Maybe I should go to the library; that's the only thing I haven't tried" As if he were facing a major enemy, Naruto knew that if he wanted to enter the library, he would need the license that only his teacher, Iruka, could give him.
"I hope Iruka won't be bothered if I ask him for this. He can't be that mean, right?"
In the middle of class, Naruto thought about going to Iruka's office after this ended. Otherwise, he would wait until Jiji visited him and ask for it, after all, Jiji was the academy director.
At the end of class, Iruka left the classroom, and Naruto followed him immediately, keeping a distance.
Naruto was still nervous. It was the first time he had wanted to ask Iruka for something, and he only hoped it would go well.
Iruka knew that Naruto was following him, so when he got to the office, he left the door open.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Naruto?" Iruka's voice was flat, making it clear that he didn't want to talk to him.
Hearing that, Naruto straightened up and spoke quickly.
"Can you give me the library license? I want to learn about something that I don't understand"
"Ok, take this. Close the door when you leave" Iruka didn't hesitate for a second; he just gave him a small card.
"Thanks! Iruka-Sensei!" With a happy smile, Naruto thanked him and left.
Rubbing his eyebrows, Iruka noticed that it was the first time Naruto had called him "sensei," and it was just a consequence of his showing his disgust.
Even if he didn't want to deal with him, he could only grant whatever Naruto asked as long as it was something from school, that's what the Hokage had told him.
Naruto didn't expect it to be so easy; maybe Iruka-sensei wasn't that bad.
Looking at the small card, Naruto didn't see anything remarkable, so he went in a straight line to the library.
In the library, he saw an old man at the desk at the entrance. Showing the card, the old man took it for a second and told him to be quiet and put the books back in their place when he left.
Before going to the books, Naruto addressed the old man, "Oji-san, can you tell me where the meditation books are?"
The old man pointed in one direction and said, "At the end of the corridor, in the self-care section"
"Thank you, Oji-san!" Naruto thanked him and walked to the corridor.
The library wasn't too big because the books there were only for educated kids and taught them how to deal with various things when they graduated to become ninjas.
Naruto didn't know why there was an entire section on self-care, but he hoped this could help to complete the training.
Searching through the books, Naruto didn't take long to find one called "How to meditate and deal with emotions"
Reading the book, he noticed that some things he had done in his training weren't quite right; nowhere did it say that he needed to start meditating in the river.
Instead, the book said to seek a peaceful place to free himself and think about one thing, like breathing or counting.
After that, he could think about what he wanted to do; in his case, it was to feel the sensations of both energies and refine chakra.
Meditation also included a breathing pattern, which is why it was recommended to focus on that. When he could do it, it helps a lot to deal with various things and not only to regulate your emotions.
After learning all these things, Naruto went home and closed all the windows to try it. With his experience in the river, it didn't take him long to make it work.
The first thing he felt was calm. The need to deal with the river's flow always made him irritated, but now he didn't need to deal with it and just focused on his inner self.
He never noticed that breathing was too difficult, but thinking about it made him realize.
After a few minutes, he couldn't concentrate and lost his breath, making him gasp.
"Huff huff, this damn thing is difficult, but now I know what to do," said Naruto with a big smile on his face. He then took a short break before continuing.
He didn't stop going to the river in the mornings, but now, in the afternoons, he was training with what his body could handle.
The meditation didn't exhaust his body, but his mind suffered. With his poor diet, he couldn't train for a longer period of time, so he was really motivated to learn and be able to get better food.
Hiruzen continued to visit once a week and gave him money or instant ramen. Naruto was really happy to eat it.
Days passed without commentary, and Naruto continued with his routine. The kids in school didn't accept him; he was always isolated. Seeing that his efforts were despised, he stopped trying to start a conversation, but he didn't lose hope.
He continued with his training at home, but it was too difficult to concentrate at home with all the noises. He could do it for a few minutes until he needed to stop.
It was still too difficult to do, so he returned to the library and learned that meditating with his legs crossed was easier because his upper body was better supported by the lower body.
With news things learned, he returned to his home and started trying to apply ihem.
"Mmm legs-crossed? Like this?" Sitting in the living room, Naruto tried to meditate in such a state.
"Hej, this is easier than I thought." With a smug smile, Naruto closed his eyes and tried to enter the state. But it didn't last long; a few minutes later, he felt his legs numb.
"Eh? Why I can't move my legs?!" Screaming with despair, Naruto landed punches to his legs to get a reaction, but it felt like punchomg cotton.
"Move! Move for me!!" Tears started to form in his eyes.
When he was getting up from his situation, the sensation returned to his legs and with it, the pain from all the punches he had thrown.
"Huff, I thought I would become a cripple."Naruto was really scared. Why did this happen?
"No, I need to learn what was wrong with this!"
The next day at school.
The class had already ended, but this time Iruka remained in the classroom.
When all the kids got out of the classroom, Naruto approached his class teacher.
"Iruka-sensei, can I ask you something?"
"No." Iruka didn't look up and kept his eyes on the papers.
Naruto felt stunned. He said no?
Then, how am I supposed to continue with the training?
Without hearing a word for a while, Iruka looked up and the kid that disgusted him was still there.
"Haah, fine. Be quick. What did you want to ask?"
"Ah, yes! Why my legs feel numb when I crossed the legs for a while?"
Looking at the ignorant kid in front of him, Iruka was speechless.
"... You haven't accustomed to it, go to the library and seek the book 'How to stretch correctly?' If that's all, you can go."
"Thanks, Iruka-sensei!"Naruto ran away happily.
At the library, Naruto asked the old man once again for the book Iruka told him to seek.
When he found the book, he realized that it was a book full of drawings. This was more difficult to remember, so he asked the old man again.
"Oji-san can I copy these drawings? I can't memorize them all.
"Ok, just be careful and donn't harm the book." The old man continued leaning back in his chair.
"Mm! Thanks!"
With all the drawings on hands, Naruto went to his home. It was time to practice.
It didn't take long to do the exercises, but they hurts a bit; he wasn't used to it. Spending his afternoons like that for a week, he didn't feel pain again and could do them without any problem.
"Uf, let's do this."
After one month, Naruto could focus on one thing for half an hour when he was at home, but it wasn't the same in the river. The time was still too short and can only do it for less than 5 minutes.
Two months later, he could stay in the river for more than the required five minutes (11 minutes), but he still couldn't feel the energies, so he tried to extend that time.
One month later, he couldn't feel both energies at the same time, but then he encountered another problem: he couldn't mix them because the time was still too short, even if now he could stay in the river for 16 minutes.
For the next three months, Naruto stopped meditating at home and went to the river as he did in the morning.
He did that after he noticed that Jiji came to visit two or three times each month.
These months, he continued going to school. Now even at school other kids treated him with disgust. So, he stopped trying to be friends with them.
After the class ended, he was always the first to leave the classroom and he could hear the other kids whispering.
"Look, the demon always leaves the classroom first, only to abandon the heroes." The kid who said that was always the same: Kiba.
"Mm, my mother told me not to get close to him."
"Aha, if we get closer, he will eat us!"
Hearing the kids saying that, even Iruka felt ashamed, but he didn't stop them.
Even if it wasn't the first time they said these things, Naruto felt annoyed. Why did they treat him like that? Aren't kids supposed to be friends?
Wiping his eyes that looked like they were about to cry, Naruto continued his way to his house.
"Even now I can't hit them, or they'll be right." Feeling his nails digging into his hands, Naruto stopped and went to the bathroom to clean them.
After going through all these months, Naruto could meditate for about one hour, and going in the afternoons greatly accelerated his training. No one noticed what he did. But most importantly, he felt that he could do it tomorrow.
Without needing the clock to wake him up, Naruto got dressed and ate something fast to go to the river. The sun was barely showing, and Naruto got into the river.
Now the cold water couldn't bother him, and he immediately entered a meditative state.
In a few seconds, he feel both energies. The spiritual one wasn't difficult, and it feels like flowing water. The first time he felt, it was a scattered fog.
The stamina was far more difficult. Every time he felt it, he thought that something was pressing him, which made it much harder to move.
That was the main reason that, after several months, he couldn't refine his chakra.
Trying to move the Stamina felt like moving rocks on a sunny day. It felt heavy, dry, and slow; all at the same time.
Most of the time, he meditated in the river, and he spent moving the Stamina to refine it. But today, when his time was close to finishing, he finally managed to mix them.
The chakra felt soft, dense, and flowed throughout his body before concentrating in The fountain. Even if he could only use a small amount of Stamina, he succeeded.
"¡HAHAHA! I made it! Now I can beat up all of them, they don't know chakra, but I do!" with a wild laugh, Naruto got up from the river. He didn't notice that he hadn't take off his shirt when he entered the river.
He was excited about going to school, but on his way, he remembered what the book had said.
"Don't show others that you know this, fine?"
His smile froze when he realized. Without being able to show off his achievements, Naruto went to school annoyed. For now, he could only wait until the school taught Chakra to other kids.
Meanwhile, he continued his training, but now he wanted to use more Stamina and Spiritual energy to produce chakra; it was the only thing he could do, at least until the book gave him more things to do.
Seeing Naruto entering the classroom with his wet clothes, Iruka felt a headache. Naruto didn't give him many problems, but sometimes Iruka didn't understand why he came into such a state.
"Naruto, didn't you fall in the river again?" Rubbing his eyebrows, Iruka asked him, and the answer was the same as always.
"Yes, Iruka-sensei, I think this was the last time this would happen," Naruto answered him with an annoyed tone.
"Fine, dry yourself with this before" Giving him a towel, Iruka returned to his desk and said to the other kids "Everyone, stop laughing and open your books"
Sitting in his seat, Naruto heard the kid beside him sau.
"Stop coming like that to get attention, no one likes you" he remembers his name, Kiba, but he always mocked him, so it wasn't in a good way.
"Shut up before I beat you," Naruto said to him. Usually, he smiled at him, but today he was very annoyed because he couldn't show what he had achieved after several months.
"Pff, you don't have the guts" replied Kiba. Before he could continue, he felt a hard punch in his face.
He didn't expect him to do it "What the hell is wrong with you? It's only a joke!"
"I told you, stop doing that, it's annoying" replied Naruto without regret and launched another hit.
"Naruto! Kiba! Get out of the classroom!" this time, Iruka was really mad about this. Just like Kiba, he didn't expect Naruto to do either.
"Iruka-sensei, you know that it's not the first time Kiba has bothered me" Naruto said, defending himself. He wouldn't give up without a fight.
"I'm only playing with him! I didn't say it seriously!" To prove his point, Kiba asked his friends, "They know that I'm just playing!"
"Yup, Iruka-sensei, you know that Kiba is the only one who speaks to Naruto; it's not that serious" one of Kiba's friends responded faster than anyone.
"Aha, the demon went mad and attacked the hero." The blonde girl, Ino, added.
"Iruka-Sensei!" Naruto shouted, clearly annoyed.
"Stop! GET. OUT" without paying attention, Iruka answered both of them.
"Stay at the door and listen to the class. I don't want any more fights, understood?"
"Yes, sir" each one taking a side at the door, Naruto and Kiba wouldn't say anything until the class ended.
"And you, shut up or I'll throw you out too." The kids who were talking shit shrank their necks.
This time, Iruka didn't leave the classroom the moment the class ended, but he called Naruto and Kiba to enter and sit down in their places.
"Ok guys, I have good news, I know most of you are wondering why we don't teach you chakra. Starting next month, I've spent the last weeks of classes showing how to produce chakra.
I expect all of you can learn that quickly because next year, physical exercise will be included in classes."
Saying that, Iruka left quickly before the kids could react. Most of them were happy, but the kids from clans didn't react as much.
Naruto didn't expect that he wouldn't need to wait long until he could use chakra, but that was okay for him.
After that, he could say that he had learned it in school.
In the next day, Naruto didn't go to the river and stayed at home. He wanted to practice The Transformation Jutsu.
Taking the book from the table, Naruto go directly to the last page.
[Transformation Jutsu]
[Move the chakra through your body, maybe you couldn't do this right now so practice it first. After that, try to maintain the same amount in your whole body. The last part isn't difficult. Just imagine the person you want to imitate and replace your body with theirs. This is all about the mental image so keep that in mind.]
Reading that, he tried to do it, but he couldn't move his chakra as he wants. So, he could only follow the steps as the book indicates.
"Damn it, it's never easy" Naruto muttered.
Two weeks later, one day before the Chakra lessons started at school, Naruto finally could move and keep the same amount of chakra in his whole body.
Now he wanted to trying doing it.
"Mmm, just do it with him, he never talks" With the image of a black-haired kid in mind, Naruto started to move the chakra.
After all this training he could do it easily.
At first, he didn't feel anything, just a little itch, and that was all.
But the moment the itch covered his whole body he fell to the floor. It felt like thousands of ants were moving under his skin.
Naruto screamed all the way, but no one heard him. No, maybe there was someone who could hear, but he didn't care.
A few seconds, later the screams stopped, and Naruto was lying on the floor.
"...I would never do this shit again...I'll look for another way..."
Feeling his body sticky, Naruto went to the bathroom to clean himself.
Taking off his clothes he noticed something weird on the mirror.
What's that?
Then, he saw it.
A strange face was watching him from the mirror. Scared, his expression changed, and he took a step back, but the image in the mirror did the same.
...Is that me?
-----|-------|-------|------|-------|-----
Training chakra was so easy in Naruto, they don't need to make a hard training to get it; the only difference they have is the amount.
The training for natural energy and the meditation methods that i saw in other novels inspired me to use it in this fanfic.
Ninjas are so powerful themselves, but why is their lifespan so short? An overexertion because they don't know how to use it properly? Let's try to fix this.
What do you think about the new Transformation Jutsu?
I hope this version is more to your liking.

Thanks for reading!
Have a nice day.
