Chapter 21 - 21: Meeting My Boy Flash

After I clicked Yes, I charged straight into the swarm of Parademons and began the massacre all over again. Most of them went down with a single hit, but some were surprisingly quick, darting out of the way of fatal strikes.

Then I felt an intense wave of heat wash over me. I looked up and saw a massive surge of flames. The Parademons had all gathered together and unleashed their fire breath at me in unison.

I raised my hand, stopping the flames in mid-air before they could reach me. I snarled and redirected them into a nearby wall, scorching it black. Then, using the Force, I yanked every flying Parademon out of the air and slammed them to the ground, their heads littering the floor around me like grotesque trophies.

Meanwhile, Batman and the others on their side weren't having any major trouble. Superman was obliterating everything in sight, tearing Parademons apart like they were nothing. Lantern was doing the same, which left only the stragglers for Batman to deal with.

I kept farming Parademons relentlessly, confident that just a few more would finish the quest. Sweat dripped down my face, it was insanely hot inside my suit. Even with the hole in it, I felt like I was burning alive; without the hole, I probably would have been. I'd need to upgrade this suit big time after this fight. But now that I had Jarvis? I was sure this suit was going to become perfect, because Jarvis is simply a work of art.

(Author, please insert a GIF of Tony Stark saying, "Jarvis, activate the Freaky Mode.")

Suddenly, I heard Batman yell, "Fall back!" I used my Flashstep, and in the next instant, I was right beside him. He looked surprised but didn't question it. We exited the factory through a hole the Parademons had torn in the wall, and Batman shouted to Lantern, "Lantern! Seal the hole!"

Lantern obeyed, blocking off the opening to prevent more Parademons from flooding out, but since they were everywhere, he had to split his attention between fighting and maintaining the barrier. It didn't last long. The wall collapsed when Lantern's focus slipped.

"Stay focused. Your constructs weaken when you get distracted," Batman barked at him.

Lantern shot back, "Mind your own business! you're the one in trouble!"

And in the very next moment, a Parademon emerged right behind Lantern while he wasn't paying attention. Before it could strike, Batman whipped an explosive Batarang into its face, blowing it apart mid-lunge.

"We need to retreat and regroup. Too many of them are coming through those gates," Batman ordered.

Lantern replied between punches, "Yeah? Tell that to those two maniacs," and pointed at me and Superman.

I was riding a Parademon through the air, using it like my personal mount, and even made it breathe fire on its own kind. At this point, it was practically my pet. I tore through Parademons mid-flight like they were nothing.

And Superman? He was annihilating hordes, literal hordes of them. He picked up a freaking semi-truck and started smashing every Parademon dumb enough to come near him. Then that lunatic slammed the truck into the ground, unleashed his heat vision on it, and let it explode in a massive fireball.

I started tearing pieces of the destroyed factory and throwing them at the Parademons until I heard the system beep.

{Player completed quest }

{Rewards: 2% progression, Bescar steel}

{The system will give the player their reward}

{0%......100%}

{The player can request to pick up the Bescar steel at any time; for now, it will remain in the system inventory.}

I smiled and continued destroying Parademons until I noticed Superman had flown off. I stopped caring about the Parademons and went after Batman and Lantern. I could hear Lantern saying, "Ahh, our artillery's gone, fantastic," and then he turned to me, "Oh, i forgot, we still have this maniac".

I ignored Lantern and followed Batman, who was heading back into the city. On the streets, we ran into a few Parademons, but we took care of them quickly. Lantern even said, "That wasn't so hard." Then a beam shot out of a building, and another wave of Parademons poured from it. I facepalmed, that idiot jinxed us. Lantern facepalmed too, and another Parademon appeared behind him, ready to strike him from behind. Why wasn't Lantern watching his own back?

But Lantern was saved when, out of nowhere, Parademons started getting hit by a fast-moving figure, a.k.a. The Flash.

After Flash finished off the Parademon, he turned to Lantern and said, "Need a hand?" Lantern responded as if he'd known him for ten years, "Flash, man, great to see you," and then tapped Flash on the chest, trying some weird handshake that didn't quite work. There was an awkward silence for a moment until Lantern pointed at me and Batman. "Yeah, and this is Revan and Batman."

Flash immediately appeared beside me and Batman, staring at me as if trying to remember where he'd seen me before. After a moment, he asked, "Do I know you from somewhere?" I smiled and replied, "Well, I helped you and killed Eobard Thawne." That name still sounded disgusting.

Flash's eyes widened. "It's you, Aaron?" I nodded, and in the next moment, before I could move, Flash hugged me. Meanwhile, Batman watched us and asked Flash, who finally let go of me, "Is this the Aaron you were talking about? The one that helped you with Reverse Flash ?" Flash nodded, "Yeah, that's him."

Batman studied me more closely, and he started thinking. So, first he helped Barry with Flashpoint and still remembered it, the only one besides Barry, and now he can see the future??That's…. interesting and dangerous.

Then Batman turned and looked at the horde of Parademons. "Get ready. They're here."

A few Parademons flew in and landed on the ground. I activated my lightsaber, preparing to strike, but the next second I heard a roar, "Arghhhh," and saw a scantily clad figure directly among the Parademons. Then the woman started smashing them. The woman was Wonder Woman. Honestly, this version of Wonder Woman seemed way more likable than the Flashpoint version, maybe because she didn't try to kill me immediately?

Flash looked at Wonder Woman and said after a moment, "Damn." Lantern put a hand on both me and Flash's shoulders and said, "Just wait, guys. I'll rizz her up."

"I'd like to see that happen," I said, and Flash nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman tore through another group of Parademons, then turned toward us, raised her sword, and said, "Greetings, warriors." Nobody said anything until I decided to speak. So i locked in and started talking, "Greetings, warrior of the Amazons. I am Darth Revan, but you may call me Revan."

Before Wonder Woman could respond, Lantern placed his hand on my chest and said, "Now watch me," then flew over to Wonder Woman and said, "Heyyyyy." He didn't get to say anything else because Superman suddenly flew between Lantern and Wonder Woman, glaring at Lantern.

(My man got stopped before he could even try, that's lowkey sad)

Flash and I looked at each other at the same time and burst out laughing at Lantern. "Ahahhdhahahahhahaha!" Lantern slowly came back, looking depressed, and said, "Don't laugh, it's not funny…" Flash and I laughed even harder, but then Flash motioned for me to look behind me. I saw Wonder Woman bypass Superman, who was starting to scowl more, and head straight towards me. Wait, what??? Towards me? Did I lock in too much? Maybe I made too good of a first impression??

Wonder Woman came up to me and said, "I am Diana of Themyscira." She then reached out her hand. I was surprised but nodded and took it. Her grip was solid, very strong, but I didn't falter.

Meanwhile, Flash was leaning against Lantern, who was muttering something about bro code and how I'd betrayed it. Superman stared at me, and I wondered why he still hadn't used his heat vision.
