Chapter 28 - Weapon Hall

Victor and Luke walked together in a corridor, going to the southern side of the castle.

They appeared in a wide-open hall. It was called the training hall, dual hall, and officially, it was a weapon hall. The hall was located on the southern side of the castle with an open sky as a roof and walls decorated with Weapons.

In the middle of it, there were several small arenas made with makeshift ropes. At the other side of the hall, there were targets placed in one corner. New cadets were already gathered in the hall, with three groups standing apart from each other.

Victor and Luke moved to the smaller group wearing black uniforms. In their group, there were only two dwarves, one elf, and Victor. In their senior years, there were around 7 members of the lower God faction. Compared to their group, Humans and werewolves were in the majority.

There were more than 200 members in the Human group, and werewolves appeared to be larger than that.

I would say this is not a good place for me.' Victor thought as he looked at the numbers.

From the shadows of corridors, a girl appeared. It was first Lieutenant Mona. She was wearing a tight blue dress that felt like her second skin. Her petite 5'6 body with long black hair attracted the eyes of boys like a moth to a flame.

'First Lieutenant is young. She looks younger and beautiful in that outfit. That plum ass and small chest… Stop, Victor forcefully restrained his thoughts.

He muttered to himself, "Why am I suddenly thinking like this?"

Ding!

'It increased again?' Does it also affect my thoughts?' Victor wandered, his eyes staring into space.

"Come back to the world, I know you boys had already undressed me in your disgusting heads, but we aren't here for me." Mona's thunder-like voice sent shivers through all the boys.

"It's impossible to look away when a fairy stands before us. You should be proud; we are just admiring your beauty." Vladiyus preached with his arms wide open like a pious man.

Mona's eyes narrowed, and she sneered, "Vladiyus, you do know that status here doesn't matter?"

Vladiyus' smile vanished as he gulped in fear.

Mona threw a spear.

Thud.

"Take this 50kg spear and do 100 sit-ups. I'm giving you a light punishment on account of the first offense." Mona ordered in a clear and loud voice.

Gaps echoed, every boy took a step back with eyes trembling, and lowered their heads.

"But First Lieutenant."

"150 sit-ups, I'll keep increasing if you don't shut up," Mona said with a smile.

Vladiyus' eyes shook as he crouched down to pick up the spear.

"Hup!" With a groan, he picked up a white steel spear and put it on his shoulders.

His knees bent with the weight, and he pushed upward with trembling legs. As he dipped down, he wasn't able to rise; his face turned completely red. Mona smiled and looked back at the cadets.

All the boys gulped and backed away further.

Victor just stared at her face and didn't avert his eyes.

Mona smiled at the guy's reaction. "Let's move aside and let Vladiyus focus on his training."

All three groups moved aside from Vladiyus, who was hardly able to finish two sit-ups.

"Neero world has many different kinds of weapons. From cold magic weapons to hot magic weapons. The hot magic weapons are more common than cold, not because the latter is weak but because hot weapons are more effective against the chaos aliens." Mona paused and waited for them to absorb the knowledge.

A girl from the werewolf faction raised her hand.

Mona looked at her and smiled, "Ahh, Warrior Princess Feena Solaris, what do you want to ask?"

Feena blushed in embarrassment and asked, "Ahem… We werewolves use our claws and think it's more effective than weapons."

Mona gave a nod, "You're right, but because of your tradition and beliefs, werewolves are always at more risk of corruption."

Feena stated as she touched her katana strapped to her waist, "We also use weapons, but we don't like weapons like guns."

"Let's stay away from giving statements and what you can do. I'm here to teach you about the weapons, whether you want to use them or not." Mona answered, changing the topic.

"I would recommend everyone here to learn target practice, basic combat, and master any one of the cold weapons." Mona paused and scanned the crowd, making sure everyone was paying attention.

Waves of gasps and murmurs sounded in the hall.

Mona didn't break their chatter; she waited for them to understand the weight of her words.

"Let's start with a small test of basic combat. I'll assign you in pairs, and you'll fight only using the basic combat techniques." Mona said with a mischievous smile.

A hand rose, and she turned toward it. "Yes, Kate?"

"Can we choose ourselves?" Kate asked, glaring at Victor.

Mona looked at Victor and then Kate; her smile widened. She replied with clear joy, "Of course you can."

"Then I'll fight him." Kate pointed at Victor.

Mona smiled, shrugging her shoulders, "Okay, you two, Kate and Victor. Get in the arena."

Kate entered a circular arena with a boundary made of two white ropes.

Victor glanced at Kate, then his eyes drifted to Zara. Her shoulders were stiff, with fidgety hands and glossy eyes. Victor exhaled and entered the arena.

"Princess, teach the trash a lesson." A shout came from the crowd of students.

Then it became a chant shortly after, "Princess, Princess!".

It felt like a match between two rivals, not a training match. Slurs fell on Victor's ears. Victor looked around, saw people laughing and booing at him. He muttered to himself, "I didn't know I would become a famous outcast here, too."
