Chapter 25 - Far from Accidental

Shadow Emblem's mission again ended with the same result.

Of the thirteen Golden Badge assassins, three committed suicide by biting on their molars, and the others got killed instantly without having time to. Their deaths were classified as mysterious by the Qinghai Massacre Commission.

This incident spread wild debates worldwide on their deaths.

Everyone thought that the 100 Academies came up with a perfectly distinct plan in order for this to happen.

It was early the next morning, the sky was just beginning to wake up and cast its glow with the sun. Less than fourteen hours had passed since the incident — and in Headmaster Huang's office, he received numerous calls from the headmasters from different factions (schools.) Urging for the explanation on how Master Akira defeated them.

The operation, at least now, had guaranteed that Shadow Emblem remained crippled, and it also gave gateways for No. 90 High to become a key city school. Furthermore, the Qinghai Government decided to invest more money into the school for advanced systems, things were looking good for them.

But in Master Akira's eyes, he didn't know what to do!

In fact, Master Akira hadn't even heard about the situation until it got spread rapidly — frankly, the man had nothing to do with it! Akira was quite upset and troubled, he hadn't been involved in it, but he can't just accept that fact freely!

Akira would be clowned as a fraud, and with this hard-built reputation; who would want to throw all that away?

Master Akira was lost in thought as he stared at the mysterious death lists and autopsy reports.

To start with, the list began with the death lists and causes for the Three Young Golden Badge Masters.

"Zhao Feng, age: nineteen years, cause of death: unknown, was "scared to death." Zhao Yun, age: seventeen years, cause of death: unknown. Possibly, pierced in the heart with sharp chalk, a hole was found on his chest with white dust. Zhao Junyi, age: eighteen years, cause of death: unknown, was found with body fragments and all bones in body was destroyed including the golden interior in the core. Mysterious death classified."

As Master Akira scanned the paper, he couldn't help but feel suspicious about Zhao Feng's death. After all, they had found him on the ground, eyes lifeless. He was in fact, "scared to death." But how? In such a scenery at the school garden? How could someone be scared to death? Master Akira also found out, that Void was there, so he must've had some kind of involvement!

No. 90 High was full with lurking tigers and dragons, so this was expected!

Either way, now that Shadow Emblem has backed off — I guess he doesn't really have to worry anymore. But these deaths were far from accidental… They were brutal! Especially Zhao Junyi's!

It was Monday morning at the third week of school. A week has passed ever since that day.

Xero walked into the classroom, calm as usual. And by the chattering of the class, he could tell that the situation had been spread here too. Everyone was talking about it!

To sum it up in a sentence: It was… expected and tragic!

"Did you hear about the most brutal death from one of the Shadow Assassins?"

"Yeah, man! Bro, I heard the golden interior in his core was shattered!"

"It was quite expected," Han Jue said with a sigh, "After all, Old Yu was the leader of the Special Forces remember?"

With that, students started cussing independently.

"He must've used a Heaven Swallowing Kick to destroy him! And then a few minutes later, God's Palm struck him down!"

Everyone shuddered, they could practically feel the pain just from that sentence.

As one of the people involved, Misaki sighed, "To experience that before death is just rare."

"…" Xero lowered his head; he hadn't expected that it would blow up to this point.

Zhen Jie sighed and leaned back on his chair, "Man, I also want to be a member of the Special Forces…"

Han Jue, "Dude, you literally have to be Nascent Stage in order to do so."

Zhen Jie, "Then I'll work hard!" He said with a confident chuckle.

Li Xinyan retorted, "You don't even study for tests."

While Xero was in his seat, resting his arm on his notebook, he got quite interested in how Han Jue would do in his future. Among the Seven Thousand Grand Holy Spells, was the Fate Measuring Spell. He hadn't used it in a while, but the fact is, he just wanted to see if Han Jue could live up to his word. In fact, he only needed a notebook.

Xero actually hated the spell, since he could not measure his own fate, but that aside.

It took about one and a half minutes in order for it to work. And so, after the timer was up, he opened his notebook, and Han Jue's future was displayed on the notebook.

"In five hundred years, Han Jue would have founded the biggest gaming software in history ever to be created in Qinghai!"

"Gamejolt 3!"
