Max woke up the next morning to a soft sensation beneath him. Startled, he stood up and realized he had been sleeping in a bed, the softness coming from its mattress.
Looking around, Max noticed he was now in a room about 3/4 the size of his previous raft.
Max began question himself the three important questions in the life for the second time.
who am I?
where am I?
what am I doing?
After questioning himself, Max began to recall that he is a participant in Ocean Survival, and he should be on a raft-turned-upgraded ship, not in a cozy room with a comfortable bed.
After a quick observation, Max found a door, opened it, and stepped into a smaller room. On either side were an attached bathroom and a kitchen, with a table and chair positioned in the middle.
By observing the composition of the room, he found that he was in the hall area of the small house.
He quickly headed toward the hall exit, stepping onto a larger ship deck. Relieved to confirm he hadn't been transported to another world for the third time in his life, he finally relaxed.
Max, feeling both relaxed and excited, admired his large boat swaying gently with the ocean's tidal waves.
After exploring the ship, he measured its dimensions: 5 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2 meters in height. The central cabin he had just left was a square shaped, measuring 2 meters on each side, situated right at the heart of the ship.
Max thought it resembled a cozy little house drifting on the vast ocean, riding the mighty waves while protecting its owner from winds, tides, and other dangers, guiding him safely to his destination.
Max then shifted his gaze towards the front of the boat and found the steering wheel present which can be used to direct the ship direction.
He is also provided with sail and a motor to sail the ship in this harsh ocean waters.
The sail will pick up the winds and the steering will help in adjusting them to steer in required direction.
The motor is located at the back and can only be activated by depositing a water beast core or by channeling his magic into the machine, which will propel the turbines to steer the ship in the desired direction.
Max, impressed by the ship, initially forgot to check its attributes in the system window but quickly redirected his attention to review its specifications.
Item: A small ship.
Durability: 10000/10000
Size: 5m(l)/3m(w)/2m(h).
Mode of sailing: sail powered/motor powered.
Max was pleased with the durability, which had increased tenfold after upgrading from a raft to a ship. He vividly recalled the tense moment when a shark attack had caused his raft to lose 100 durability instantly.
Max discovered that the front of the boat offered a pleasant view, and it reminded him of the ship-built crossbow he hadn't yet produced. He quickly opened the production page to create it, but found the page grayed out. Upon reading the notice, he realized that he could now only produce items on the workbench, which was located in the ship's cabin hall area.
Max hesitantly reentered the cabin, unable to locate the workbench after a quick search. Confused, he sat in the chair, pondering where it could be, when his attention suddenly shifted to the table in front of him.
At first glance, the table seemed ordinary, but Max knew that when everything appeared fine, something was usually wrong. The system never favored the survivors, and each one had to rely on their wits to find hidden items through keen observation. Otherwise, they risked falling behind competitors who were far more vigilant.
He carefully infused his spirit power into the table, and suddenly, glowing lines began to emerge. Observing quietly, he focused his mental and magical energy as the table transformed into a futuristic workbench equipped with sci-fi features—a laser-guided arm for cutting or assembling parts and a holographic panel displaying stored blueprints from the system.
Max quickly found the design blueprint of the ship mounted crossbow and manually loaded all the items it required to produce onto it and found that the items introduced into it are minimized and the produced items are also minimized and presented.
only when the user introduces magic power into the item only then they will return to the original size.
Max was amazed by the technology and immediately found four miniature sized ship mounted crossbows presented Infront of him.
Max picked them up in his hand and received a notification asking if he wanted to mount them onto the ship.
Max mounted the crossbows on all four sides of the ship, watching as they disappeared from his hands. The workbench displayed a map of the vessel, indicating the crossbows were now installed in the lower storage compartment in four directions. When necessary, he could focus his mental strength on the main console at the front of the ship to aim and fire at enemies upon spotting them.
This made him wonder if he could load the arrows automatically, but he quickly discovered that they couldn't be loaded that way and had to be done manually before shooting. Disappointed, he resolved to search for an automatic crossbow loader at any cost.
Max then produced the four arrows which were 5 cm in width and 70 cm in length and began searching the way to the storage compartments.
Soon he found the entrance to the storage compartment right below the workbench and moved the workbench aside with all his strength and found the door to the compartment.
The storage compartment was only one meter high, so he had to bend over as he moved through it. He quickly found all the supplies from the raft stored inside the compartment.
Max soon located the crossbows, loaded them with arrows, and exited the compartment. Back on the deck, he focused his mental power and discovered he could operate the crossbow and aim it using the console.
He spent a few minutes testing it, aiming at various targets and adjusting the ship's speed. Satisfied with the ship's performance and the weapons he had installed, he felt confident in its capabilities.
