Chapter 30 - Nyarlathotep suit

Boom!

That thing was slammed into the wall, causing it to collapse.

Dazed, it struggled to make out what had attacked it.

A punch landed squarely on its jaw, snapping its mouth shut.

Two webs shot out, sticking to both sides of the wall. It saw the figure in front of it pull the webs taut, using them to amplify the force of a double-footed kick.

BOOM!

The impact of the kick was devastating, sending it crashing through multiple walls.

A web shot toward a nearby chair, which was then spun around and hurled straight at its head.

"Grrrr…"

Its anger surged. It didn't understand why the one it had spared was still attacking, but if this continued, it definitely wouldn't be happy.

Roaring, its mouth unleashed a torrent of black liquid toward its attacker.

And the one attacking it?

"…Slow."

Peter felt… stronger than ever before.

Even compared to the Spider-Men in those memories, he felt far superior.

His Spider Sense had been upgraded, not just warning him of danger but allowing him to sense the malicious intent of others.

A power… almost like glimpsing the future.

His eyes could even perceive attacks in slow motion.

And that was just the surface of the power lent to him by the Outer God.

With a single step, he dodged the black liquid, which splattered against the wall.

The droplets sprayed everywhere but didn't touch him.

The thing kept firing, but he walked forward as if it were just another day.

In mere seconds, he closed the distance effortlessly.

He leaped, delivering a kick to its neck that slammed its face into the floor.

The ground shook, and black liquid sprayed everywhere like blood.

As it struggled to rise, he stepped back and kicked its neck again, driving its face deeper into the ground.

…No need to say it—he was dominating this monster. It couldn't even touch him.

"So this is the power of an Outer God? It's strong, but losing humanity with each use…"

No, he couldn't overuse it! Losing humanity meant losing compassion, empathy, and so much more. This power wasn't something to take lightly.

Calming himself, he prepared to finish this quickly when he suddenly noticed the black liquid from the creature spreading across the school.

The thing melted into liquid, vanishing without a trace.

"What?! Where'd it go?!"

Then it hit him—Ben was still here!

Damn it!

He rushed to Ben, who was writhing in pain from his horrific wounds.

"Ben! Get out of here!"

Ben couldn't speak, so Peter hoisted him up and searched for another exit.

Once he got Ben to safety, he'd deal with that monster immediately.

But as he carried Ben, Peter sensed something flying toward him.

He tilted his head, realizing it was a jump rope.

"W-What?!" Before he could dodge, the jump rope slammed into the wall, bounced back, and, in some freakish way, wrapped tightly around his neck.

[…Do you even know how to use the Nyarlathotep Sense?]

"I'm still getting used to it!"

Peter was yanked with tremendous force, then something pierced his stomach.

"AGHH!!"

AGAIN?? Why there?! Was there no better spot?!

His head was jerked, coming face-to-face with the monster, now larger than before.

This time, it was even more alien, as if it didn't belong to this world.

"Did it… Did it absorb all the other entities?!"

It threw him, then moved at high speed to get behind him.

Peter dodged its stab, firing a massive web at it.

But the webs vanished, as if swallowed by nothingness.

That was Bully's ability.

Seeing it wasn't working, Peter aimed a kick at its neck.

But his body froze.

Playtime's ability.

Then, with terrifying speed, it rammed him, sending him crashing through walls just as he'd done to it earlier.

Sweep and 1st Prize's abilities.

When he hit an unbreakable wall, it struck him upward, then delivered another blow that sent him crashing to the floor.

Boom!

As the dust settled, Peter struggled to stand. The monster grabbed him and lifted him up.

"Get lost."

A voice like a man's echoed from it, and instantly, Peter was teleported to a detention room.

"It's… too strong," Peter groaned, clutching his healing wound.

[It's only because you don't know how to use my power, you idiot.]

"Then what do I do?!"

[Peter, your power doesn't come from a radioactive spider—it comes from me, an Outer God. Do you know what that means?]

"…!"

He stood, looking at his body.

Instantly, black liquid emerged from the ground, and he sank into it.

His vision, enveloped by the liquid, was clearer than ever, allowing him to move at high speed toward the monster.

[There's so much more! But since you're human, I guess you can only handle a few tricks.]

"…Ben, hang on! Also... Cool power."

[Right?! Right?! Gahaha!!]

He finally reached the monster's location.

But it was too late.

It was devouring Ben… gleefully.

"…"

Rage surged through him as he witnessed the scene.

He'd borrowed power from an Outer God he didn't fully trust, all to protect Ben.

And now it was all for nothing?!

"YOU BASTARD!!"

He burst from the liquid, delivering a kick straight at it.

The monster was pushed back, its thousands of eyes glaring at him.

It swallowed Ben whole, then turned to face him.

Peter clenched his fists, his eyes radiating killing intent.

"You're not getting away!!"

He threw a punch, and its spider legs lashed out at him.

His hand met its leg, creating a shockwave that shattered nearby glass.

It sprayed liquid at him, but he dodged perfectly, only for the jump rope to wrap around his neck again.

As it tightened, the monster attacked.

He grabbed the leg aimed at his head, but its other legs swung at him.

Suddenly, tentacles sprouted from the black parts of his suit, seizing its legs.

"?!"

His tentacles yanked violently, tearing off several of its legs.

The monster watched in shock as its legs were dragged into the black parts of his suit, vanishing completely.

Then, from those black parts, countless gnashing teeth appeared.

"Hungry," the teeth chanted, making the monster realize—

This guy's suit was a collective of living creatures?!

"I get it…" Peter looked at his suit, then at the monster.

Instantly, countless spiked tentacles, like Kaneki Ken's in *Tokyo Ghoul*, sprouted from him.

As it tried to use Playtime's ability, he tore its last leg off and stabbed it with his tentacles.

It writhed in pain, realizing its absorbed abilities were inexplicably vanishing.

Then it understood something unbelievable—

When its legs were consumed, the abilities it had absorbed disappeared too?!

"DIE!!!!"

Peter leaped, aiming a kick at its neck.

His foot transformed into a massive set of teeth, chomping off the monster's head.

"…"

He landed, the teeth on his foot chewing before swallowing, then vanishing.

The monster bled black like a storm, then collapsed.

Peter glared at it, grimacing slightly.

[Pretty cool, right?]

"…It's just like Venom's powers."

[Hey! Are you saying I copied them?! You jerk!!]

Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound.

"…No way?"

I turned around and saw its body trembling violently.

I-It got its head chomped off and it's *still* alive?!

[Uh-oh, looks like this thing… has a Zenkai boost.]

"Ze-what?!"

[You don't know? Like the Saiyans in DBZ or DBS—every time they're near death, they get stronger. But this thing evolves after every death.]

"WHAT?! THEN HOW DO I BEAT IT NOW?!"

[Who knows? How about you become a part of me, and I'll handle it for you?]

"You'd probably take out the entire universe while you're at it!!"

It stood up, regenerating at a terrifying speed, and in just a few seconds, it was fully restored.

Worse, its form was even more grotesque and larger than before.

"Oh, great, my cursed luck…" I readied myself for battle.

But something felt… off.

It was trembling uncontrollably and just standing there.

"…?"

I looked at it, confused, and noticed a single eye staring at me.

While its other eyes were lifeless, this one had a spark in it.

…It was familiar, and I was certain I knew who it belonged to.

"Ben…"

Its eyes locked onto me, completely detached from the rest of its body, as if trying to tell me something.

[Oh? Its body lost its ability to regenerate?]

"…Ben, is that you?"

Those eyes kept staring, then slowly closed.

"…Hey, what's the strongest move I can use?"

[That would be the Nya Nya Star KaBoom. Why?]

"That's a terrible name. Show me how it works."

Immediately, I raised both hands in a cross shape.

Instead of teeth or tentacles emerging from the black parts of my suit, something else appeared…

A swirling vortex with golden and orange stars moving within it, like the way a black hole operates, constantly moving within my suit.

An aura radiated from my body… as if a miniature universe was contained inside me.

"Goodbye… Ben."

I closed my eyes and unleashed the move.

***

"Thirty minutes are up. Time to handle this," Tony yawned, standing up.

[How are you going to save the kid now?]

"Well… I'll call in one of the suits, fly to him, and have him wear it. It should withstand a nuclear blast."

[…]

Just as Tony was about to summon a suit to fly to Peter, he heard a noise.

"…?"

He looked toward the school, and in an instant, every window shattered violently.

A powerful gust of wind forced Tony to step back, squinting at the school.

The front door burst open with force.

Tony's eyes widened, shocked at the sight of the person standing there, surrounded by several unconscious people.

His hair was a mess, his suit tattered, sweat dripping down his face.

It was clear he was utterly exhausted.

Then, he raised his right hand, clenching it into a fist.

"I won, Mr. Stark," he said with a smile.

The reason I call Sariel "Ben" is because Peter Parker has a clone, and his name is Ben Reilly.
