October 10 was supposed to be the happiest and most memorable day for Minato Namikaze. This wasn't because he achieved his dream and became a Hokage.
In fact, he has already become the 4th Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaf for more than one and a half years. It wasn't also because he single-handedly ended the Third Great Ninja War, where he single-handedly slaughtered over a thousand Hidden in the Stone ninja, forcing Onoki, the 3rd Tsuchikage, to sign a peace treaty that ended the war.
The reason why this day was supposed to be his happiest and most memorable day for Minato was because Kushina, his wonderful and beautiful wife, was about to give birth to their children.
Yes, children, not child. It's because, according to the doctor, they're expecting quadruplets, and this news really brought joy to the two of them.
They share another dream of having a wonderful family, and the fact that they will have quadruplets is really great news to them; they have even already decided the names of their children.
Due to the special nature of Kushina's status as a female Jinchuriki, the day she was about to give birth to their children had to be kept secret.
This is due to the fact that once a female Jinchuriki gives birth, there are high chances for the Tailed Beast to escape from the seal. Once the Tailed Beast escapes, there is definitely destruction and casualties that follow.
With this, the higher-ups of the Village Hidden in the Leaf had to ensure that the other villages remained oblivious about the fact that Kushina was about to give birth in order for them to not attempt anything that might release the Tailed Beast inside the village.
This is also why Minato and Hiruzen only select people who are trusted and incredibly capable to handle the job, be they the midwives or the guards that secretly guard the place where Kushina is placed to give birth to the quadruplets.
They even selected the most secure and hidden location inside the territory of the village just to avoid any kind of trouble that might happen.
Yet even with their precaution something terrible happens. A masked man suddenly appeared and started killing most of the ANBU guards that were stationed to guard inside as well as the midwives; this included Hiruzen's wife, Biwako, who volunteered to help Kushina in giving birth.
Just as Minato was about to stop the masked man, out of nowhere the masked man held one of the newly born babies, stopping Minato in his tracks.
"Get away from the Jinchuriki," the masked man commanded coldly while pointing a kunai at the baby.
"Please stop; let's calm down," Minato begged.
The masked man suddenly throws the baby in the air, which widens Minato's eyes. The masked man prepared to jump and was about to stab the baby with his kunai when Minato already appeared and was carrying the baby in his hands.
Yet Minato notices the exploding tags around the swaddling blanket that covers the baby.
'Shit! Minato's eyes widen, and he throws the swaddling blanket away from both his and Kushina's location to avoid the effect of exploding tags.
BOOM!
The explosion caused the destruction of the section of the large room. Minato's eyes immediately turn towards Kushina's location, but she was gone, along with the masked man.
Minato's brow frowned. He can roughly guess the reason why the masked man suddenly launched an attack, and he knows what to do now.
Minato relocates his children to a safe location and asks Tsunade—who is the only midwife who manages to survive the masked man attack—to protect the children.
After a small preparation, Minato then uses the Flying Thunder God Technique. He placed a mark on their rings, so finding Kushina was an easy task.
When he arrived, he saw Kushina lying near the lake, dying from the masked man's extraction of the Nine-Tailed Fox. Minato immediately gets closer to inspect his wife.
"Kushina! Are you okay?" Minato asks, voice full of worry.
"M-Mintato, you need to stop that man... that man... h-he controls the N-Nine-Tailed Fox and is planning to destroy the v-village..." Kushina said, full of struggle.
Minato's eyes shrink for a moment. He already suspects the goal of the masked man, and the fact that the man is trying to destroy the villages is something that must be solved as soon as possible.
Minato immediately carries Kushina in bridal style before teleporting back to the location where the quadruplets were hidden for safety.
"Tsunade! Please save Kushina!" Minato yelled the moment he appeared.
Minato's voice greatly alarmed Tsunade, and after seeing the terrible condition of Kushina, she immediately went into action and grabbed the red-haired woman to perform her job.
While Tsunade was trying to save Kushina from death, Minato started to prepare the necessary equipment to face the rampaging Nine-Tailed Fox.
While he previously did gather the equipment to save Kushina, facing the rampaging Tailed Beast, Minato had to gather more equipment to solve this problem once and for all.
While Minato was preparing to face the Nine-Tailed Fox and the masked man, meanwhile, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen, was the one who stepped up to face the rampaging monster that suddenly appeared at the center of his beloved village.
While fighting the Nine-Tailed Fox, Hiruzen also commands the Jonin-level ninjas to provide support against the rampaging fox.
While those below Jonin were tasked with saving and evacuating all the residents into the safe area far away from the battlefield.
Hiruzen commands both the Hyuga and Uchiha clans to divide their force into two different batches: one is to help the fight between the ninja and the fox, while the other is tasked to guard the border for unexpected guests that might decide to show up.
He chose the two clans due to their dojutsu. With their eyes it should be easy to locates any unknown parties that planning malicious to their village.
Jiraiya is also at the village, as he planned to meet up with his godchildren, but he never expected that the moment he arrived, he would see the Nine-Tailed Fox manage to escape and cause havoc on his home village.
Jiraiya immediately provides support by attracting the rampaging fox's attention while Hiruzen properly commands the Jonin ninja to fight against the Tailed Beast.
When the Nine-Tailed Fox was rampaging, destroying building after building, Hiruzen summoned a staff and used it to thrust towards the fox as the staff extended horizontally, managing to hit the belly of the fox and temporarily pinning the Tailed Beast.
Jiraiya uses this opportunity to appear above the fox and summon a giant frog to secure the fox in the place, even if it's just temporary.
The Nine-Tailed Fox only further enraged and used more force to free itself, but before it could even do anything, the fox froze in place.
Several dozen Nara Clan members teamed up and used their infamous technique to immobilize the Nine-Tailed Fox. That's not all; the Akimichi Clan members also help to restrain the fox by enlarging themselves using their technique and grabbing the parts of the fox.
The Yamanaka Clan members help by transmitting the orders and the situation of the battlefields. With this help the casualties shorten, while at the same time the leaf ninja manages to launch an effective attack.
Every ninja on the battlefield suddenly notices something abnormal on the Nine-Tailed Fox, and this discovery gives them a shock. What they discover is the infamous eye of the Uchiha Clan, the Sharingan.
The Uchiha Clan members who are at the battlefield are also baffled by this development, as, aside from the time when Madara Uchiha controlled the Nine-Tailed Fox when fighting the 1st Hokage, Hashirama Senju, in the Valley of End, no Uchiha was powerful enough to control the Nine-Tailed Fox.
Even their infamous Clan Leader Wicked Eye Fugaku, who many considered the next coming of Madara, isn't powerful enough to control the Nine-Tailed Fox.
Fugaku also saw this and couldn't help but shrink his eyes for a moment. He knows that whatever happens after this will be trouble for the whole Uchiha Clan, especially if he fails to convince everyone that they were not part of this incident.
He knows that he needs to clear up their names about this situation, and he also understands how incredibly hard it is to make.
This is especially true when considering Danzo, who has been constantly trying to find fault with their clan for some reason. He didn't know why, but he had a bad feeling about the war hawk.
'I had to find a solution for this,' Fugaku thought inwardly while at the same time commanding the Uchiha Clan to support others.
Right now Fugaku and others didn't have time to think about the reason behind the Sharingan in the Nine-Tailed Fox and instead focused their energy on solving the situation as soon as possible.
