After getting out, Sienna waited for Lucan to catch up. Once he did, she cleared her throat and asked. "If I may ask, did I own any other properties apart from the shares?"
He paused, meeting her gaze. "You don't remember?"
She spread her palms. "Well, who would? I mean, I have lots of things under my name to remember each clearly… so… do I?"
His lips curved faintly. "Yes. You did. A villa on the city outskirts, some businesses you invested in that turned out well, and, I think, a bunch of condominiums."
Sienna's eyes lit up. "Great… Do you know where the villa is? Please give me the address and the password. Also, I'd trouble you to help me sell the others."
Lucan took out his phone and was silent for a few seconds. Raising his head, he gave her the address and the password — which was her birthday.
"Sure. I'll let you know once they're sold and transfer the money to you."
"Thank you and have a nice day!"
Without another word, she jumped into her van and drove off.
The man's eyes deepened as if in a deep thought.
The villa turned out to be almost an hour away, located in the middle of several others of its type.
Sitting on the plush sofa, Sienna smirked. 'I will bring you with me.'
And then she began!
She first called Boss Grey — the owner of the Moon Tofu Restaurant.
She went straight to the point, saying she needed two hundred plates of his tofu. You can imagine his shock as he asked repeatedly to be sure she wasn't pulling his leg. He was just a small restaurant, after all, and had never received that kind of order. After her repeated confirmation and payment, he finally promised to deliver in a few days.
She scrolled through the restaurants Louisa had recommended, downloaded their apps, and ordered banquet sets in bulk. One package contained ten different dishes meant for a table of ten, and she booked over fifty of them—amounting to more than five hundred dishes in total.
In just two hours, she had ordered from forty different restaurants: hotpot, spicy crab, roast duck, sweet-and-sour ribs, grilled fish, shrimp dumplings, braised pork belly, noodles, stir-fried greens, wontons, and even desserts like egg tarts, sesame balls, and so much more.
Her eyes flashed with heartache as she stared at the millions that had been debited from her account.
Well, she still had millions.
She wasn't holding back and continued ordering all sorts of things.
Six months into the apocalypse, nutrient fluid was introduced to replace normal food. However, it was extremely bitter and had a foul odor. Still, it contained just enough nutrients for people to survive each day.
Sienna hadn't tasted it, but the description alone made goosebumps rise on her skin.
In an era where plants became poisonous and food became scarce, some extraordinary individuals could still enjoy delicacies like the ones she was ordering now— but they were the crème of the crop.
Once the ready-made food was settled, Sienna moved on to snacks.
Cakes, chocolates, chips, candy, juices, steamed buns, cookies… you name it. It was as if she was starting her own mini supermarket. She sighed in regret as she thought of her favorite cookie. Unfortunately, it wasn't available in her country, and she wasn't sure if she could still get it if she ordered now before the apocalypse arrived.
Next, she logged into the largest wholesale market.
'Personal care.'
She searched for her favorite pad brands and didn't hesitate to order tens of thousands of them. They should last her until menopause, and she also had a teenage little sister. She didn't forget to add toilet paper, of course.
Sienna felt she could run out of everything — except those.
She also ordered all sorts of skincare, soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. Next came cleaning supplies and essentials. Detergents, disinfectants, multi-surface cleaners—all of it went into her digital cart in massive quantities.
"Cat food!" she muttered, then began to stockpile cat supplies that could last her little Snowball long-term. She also ordered plenty of cat litter — not just for Snowball, but for herself too. During the apocalypse, water would run out, and many things would be affected. Cat litter could absorb the odor of human waste, and thus, was a good alternative.
She didn't stop there, of course. Her almost endless list was getting ticked off one by one, and it wasn't until her phone was about to die that she realized so much time had passed.
'It's night already.' She stood up with a yawn, leaving the villa.
There were still several things left she had to order, and she estimated she could get them done within the next two weeks, no, one week!
Her heart raced as she thought of how there were only thirty nine days left.
She stopped at a supermarket before going home, filling the cart with several items, including more cat food. She wasn't planning on touching the things she had bought online for now. She also picked up a few groceries for cooking practice.
It was already around nine in the evening when she finally stepped foot into the mansion.
However, as soon as she entered, she noticed the difference in atmosphere.
She had only met Louisa and Shayla among her sisters, but today, there were three others present, including Louisa.
'System.'
The system immediately gave her the answers: [The one sitting in the middle in a white suit is Caitlin Song, your eldest sister. The ones by her left and right are Agnes and Adelaide, twins.]
One could tell Caitlin Song was the oldest anyway. She had a mature air with a poker face, but her eyes clearly changed after seeing Sienna.
As for the twins, they were dressed in some sort of cosplay-like attire, and their appearances were extremely similar.
"She's back!" Adelaide pointed.
Caitlin suddenly stood up from her seat, marching toward Sienna in her several-inch heels. In the next moment, her hand whipped out, and a resounding slap echoed as her palm connected with Sienna's cheek.
