"Do you have an RV?"
Several minutes later, Rami still couldn't get over his shock after selling his latest RV which was worth millions to the 'girl' in debt.
Two days later, Sienna stood in her filled living room, staring at the many things she had ordered: meals, clothes, beddings, transportation stuff, and many others. With a wave of her hand, everything went into her space, and right then, there was a ding.
[Congratulations to Host on successfully filling your Personal Office's storage capacity!]
[Congratulations on gaining 20 Karma EXP]
[Supply Depot Unlocked]
[Supply Depot 90% full]
[Pantry Unlocked]
Sienna's eyes lit up.
Supply Depot!!!
The laboratory that had blown up was an underground one. It belonged to the military, and was massive.
One had to know, the supply depot was one of the largest spaces in the entire laboratory. It didn't contain everything an official military depot would have, but it still held weapons, fuel, ammunition, and medical kits.
All sorts of things.
Just as she was racking her brain on how to get them, they were suddenly brought before her.
Without another word, Sienna entered her consciousness.
She looked around, and a grin spread across her face. There were rows upon rows of shelves stacked with crates, barrels, weapon racks, and metallic cases stamped with strange insignias. Not only that, there were laser guns, bombs, and all sorts of futuristic weapons that the military had hard time parting with. And right now, they were all hers!
Sienna was particularly excited after inspecting it.
She moved on to the pantry, and upon checking it, she jumped with joy when she saw her favorite imported snacks still in the refrigerator.
The pantry was spacious, filled with food, drinks, grains, snacks, and more of the things she had ordered. There was still plenty of room left. Other items—like skincare products—had ended up in her Personal Office, while some electronics were stored in the Depot.
However, Sienna didn't know if she was supposed to be excited or discouraged when she saw the next room to be unlocked.
The garage.
But it required karma exp to access it.
And not just a little—10,000 karma exp.
How can she even get that much?
It sounded impossible just thinking about it. It was such a pity since it housed several advanced SUVs that weren't for sale to the public.
Nevertheless, Sienna quickly cheered up. She already had a modified car and a RV, so she was okay with not having access to it for now.
After leaving the space, she checked her bank account. She still had a million left, including the money from her property sales.
Still, there were still some things she hadn't bought yet, like drones, gears, repellent, and many other things.
Would this even be enough?
Just as she was about to exit the app, there was a notification, and her eyes went wide as the balance jumped from a million to five million.
"Uh… What's going on?" She blinked, stunned. How did her balance suddenly increase this much? A wrong transaction?
Then came a WhatsApp message.
[Sis, have you seen the money?]
[I sold my shares today! But to Edwards.]
[Will that be enough for the money you needed?]
Damn.
Sienna buried her face in her hands. She never thought Louisa would take her words seriously and actually sell her shares too.
She quickly called the girl, and even tried to scare her a little.
"Did you trust me that much? What if I ran away now and never returned it to you?"
Louisa burst into laughter like she had just heard the joke of the century. "We're running away together, remember."
"...Thank you."
Beep beep~
The girl abruptly hung up.
Sienna stared at the phone with a blank look.
Wait—was she shy?
After that, she proceeded to splurge. She didn't hold back this time around and got everything she wanted with a peace of mind. There were still around some millions left, and she kept thousands for herself while converting everything else to gold.
But the peaceful days didn't last long.
One random morning, Sienna woke up trembling. It was cold, too cold.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, she immediately recoiled. It felt like she had stepped on ice or something worse. It was so chilling. Her clothes had frozen against her body, and every breath hurt so badly like she was inhaling shards of glass. She glanced at her window, frost had completely covered it.
She hurriedly brought out several blankets from her space, gloves and military boots. It wasn't until she was feeling the heat that she breathed out. Afterward, she turned the heater up to the maximum setting.
Just then, she heard a fragile meow~
"Snowball!" Sienna quickly bundled the cat in blankets and hoodies, tucking her inside like a burrito. There were frosts on her whiskers, and she was trembling.
Moments later, the cat finally relaxed.
Sienna heaved a sigh of relief and then called Louisa to check on her. But all she heard was teeth chattering on the other end.
In the end, she put Snowball down and rushed out to bring Louisa over.
This incident was happening in many homes across the world. The cold was unbearable, and no one could even bring themselves to go out, not when they woke up sick and numb. Countless called in sick from work, students did the same, and life slowed to a temporary halt.
The news' voice flooded every corner of the room. "...temperatures have dropped overnight to record-breaking lows across the city. Meteorologists are baffled, with readings showing –20°C in multiple districts. Citizens are advised to remain indoors, conserve power, and prepare for potential blackouts. Emergency shelters are being set up, though travel is strongly discouraged…"
"Sister, what's happening?" Louisa cried from under a blanket. She had slept somewhat late at night after chatting with her friends, but it felt like a few minutes had passed when she was hit by an overwhelming coldness. And not only did it decrease, but instead, it continued increasing tremendously.
