Cia and the cat finally arrived at the library.
It was quiet, and the curtains inside were drawn closed. Cia's heart skipped a beat, but he didn't let the cat notice that he had become more cautious.
The door opened automatically as if there were a wind pushing it forward. The chimes rang, and the one animal and one human duo entered the library.
It wasn't too dark because of the chandelier on the ceiling, but it was certainly giving off last-meal vibes more than a friendly meet-up.
Cia found the old man browsing through the bookshelf. He called out, "Sir? I'm here."
The old man lifted his head and gestured for Cia to sit. "This is going to be a long talk."
Cia sat down, already starting to feel anxious. Why was the old man taking so long to speak? Is it for atmospheric purposes? There were still kids waiting for him at home.
