Marcio threw the lightning in his palms like a boomerang. Moments before it hit Estel, the thick pink fog stopped it.
Two different kinds of mana collided. When the flash of lightning came into contact with the fog, it exploded.

The lightning shattered. Instead of dispersing, the fragments flew toward the five animal-masked awakeners.

The five of them were not pushovers. Although they were pushed back by Marcio's attack, the one with the dog mask stomped the ground. Vines burst from the earth. The moment the lightning struck it, they burst into flames.
The cat-masked awakener controlled the flames and hurled them at Marcio.
SHING!
Before the flames could even touch Marcio, they were caught by a chain. The cat awakener looked at the weeping man and snarled, "Children shouldn't meddle in adults' business!"
