At first, the officers at the station managed to hold their ground by relying on the cannons and the water shield. But after some time, the disadvantage of being a normal human started to show.
Aside from the fact that the cannon bullets were dwindling, their stamina was limited. Many of them were already gasping for breath, but the demons seemed to be endless.

Leon was pushed down to the ground by a wounded demon. He grabbed the gun from his pocket and fired it at its head.

This demon was stronger than the others. Leon noticed it and struggled even more.
Then it displayed a behavior they had never seen before. The scaly black demon opened its mouth. It ripped apart enough to accommodate the size of a human head.
Leon's eyes constricted and before he could ask for help, a huge broadsword slashed the demon from behind.
The demon fell on top of him and Leon pushed it off in disgust. He looked at the person who helped him and saw a familiar face.
