Chapter 30 - Infinity Stones

Thanos' so-called "salvation" terrified the entire world.

A butcher who enjoys killing is horrifying on its own—but what's even more terrifying… is a butcher who believes he's doing good.

[Isaac LeClerc: Thanos, that pitiful child... I've always thought there was something wrong with his brain. What's the point of exterminating half the universe? In just a few hundred years, they'll repopulate.]

[Thanos: Human… are you trying to provoke me?]

[Isaac LeClerc: Do you dare face me in a one-on-one duel?]

Isaac's reply was straightforward. He wasn't underestimating Thanos—he simply knew his own strength.

As the ceiling of the physical world, he and Foa could easily defeat Thanos.

If interstellar travel wasn't so exhausting and complex, he would've eliminated this "chaos-bringer" long ago.

Thanos, in turn, saw no point in arguing. He wasn't one for words—he simply engraved the name Isaac LeClerk deep in his memory.

[Captain Marvel: No wonder they call this man the Mad Titan. It's clear there's something off in his mind.]

She said this after witnessing the atrocities of Thanos on the chat channel.

[Isaac LeClerc: By the way, @Thanos… didn't President Walker previously say he welcomed you to "save" them in the name of America? Don't forget your promise! If you break it, you'll lose your honor.]

[President Walker: "???" We never said that! Stop this nonsense! This will really get people killed!]

[Captain Marvel: @Isaac, this isn't funny. Please don't joke about things like this anymore.]

[Isaac LeClerc: What are you all afraid of? Don't you have the greatest helper in America—your president—who personally invited Thanos? If Thanos doesn't show up, wouldn't that be rude?]

President Walker: "…"

Thanks? For the support??!!

[Thanos: This foolish human... has a point. Perhaps I should explore your planet when I get the chance—and I'll start with your country.]

Although Thanos didn't fully understand the situation, his response dripped with sarcasm.

Isaac knew this "purple potato" was up to something. Perhaps he sensed Captain Marvel's strength and wanted to sow discord between them.

[President Walker: What the hell are you talking about?! You damned terrorist—madman—enemy of humanity… go to hell! When did I ever invite that lunatic to our country?!]

[Isaac LeClerc: You Americans don't represent all of humanity.]

[Nick Fury: @Isaac, you seem to have a lot of opinions about America?]

[Isaac LeClerc: Not about the people. Maybe just the officials… and the IRS?]

Nick Fury: "..."

He left the channel silently. What America had done in recent years… wasn't exactly something to be proud of.

But at least they tried. Other countries hadn't even moved.

Though one question still lingered in his mind:

Why is it always America that bears the brunt of alien invasions?!

[Marvel List Tip: Choose one reward out of three!]

Option 1: Supreme Universal Enhancement Card (boosts any target) + Ticket to a Parallel Universe

Option 2: Inheritance chance from a powerful being in another world + Ticket to a Parallel Universe

Option 3: Infinity Stone Radar (detects location of the stones and guides the user) + Ticket to a Parallel Universe

When Thanos saw these options, a glint of excitement appeared on his face.

This Marvel List… it's truly glorious! It won his heart.

He let out a deep sigh, then selected Option Three without hesitation — the Infinity Stone Radar.

To achieve his ultimate goal, he wouldn't hesitate to give up any power boost—as long as it brought him closer to the Infinity Stones.

When Odin saw this decision, he sighed silently:

"It's all over."

And Odin wasn't alone—every higher being who understood the power of the Infinity Stones let out the same cry.

"Now that he has it, the Mad Titan will become a nightmare for all civilizations."

[Pierce: Is Thanos an idiot? He actually chose the weakest reward. What's an Infinity Stone Radar? A toy?]

[President Walker: Thankfully, he didn't pick something that directly enhanced his strength…]

[Captain Marvel: Infinity Stones? Impossible…]

[Isaac LeClerc: Haha! I knew you'd be shocked. Surprised, aren't you?]

[Whitehall: What exactly is this "Infinity Stone Radar"?]

At that moment, Isaac's expression turned unusually serious.

Thanos with Infinity Stones… is a completely different being than Thanos without them.

Only fate knows what will happen… but Isaac secretly hoped that the pitiful child would come to Earth first. If he did, Isaac wouldn't need to go looking for him!

As long as Thanos hadn't obtained the Time Stone, Isaac LeClerk would welcome him warmly.

As for his current strength?

He's no more than a mailman.

In the final battle, he could barely defeat Captain Marvel with the stones—how would he stand a chance now that she's been massively boosted?
