Synopsis
Jaden Cross is a young man trying to survive in the shadows of Neo-Lagos, a futuristic city where the poor live in broken homes and forgotten slums. Orphaned at six and forced to grow up fast, Jaden spends his days fixing scraps and dreaming of a better world—a world he believes he’ll never see. Until one night, everything changes. A mysterious glowing orb appears in the sky and connects with Jaden’s mind, activating the Tech Architect System—a powerful, sci-fi interface that gives him access to futuristic blueprints, instant-building tools, and system quests that reward him for solving real-world problems. His first quest? Restore power to his neighborhood using solar microgrids. Soon, Jaden is building cooling shelters, clean energy systems, and AI-run apartments—one project at a time. But with each success, he draws more attention. The city’s leaders want to control him. A rival from the tech underworld wants to steal the system. And darker forces are watching from the skies, waiting for the Architect to grow. Armed with only his mind, his hands, and the Tech Architect System, Jaden must rise from the ruins of poverty and become the builder of a new future. But in a city full of secrets, will he remain its hero… or become its biggest threat?

Chapter 1 - Tech Architect System

Chapter 1: The Rooftop Below the Stars

Jaden Cross sat on an old rooftop, staring at the city lights below. The wind was cold, and the rain had just stopped. Water dripped slowly from the rusted metal roof beside him. He pulled his thin jacket tighter and tried not to shiver.

Below him, the streets of Neo-Lagos were loud and full of life. Flying drones zipped through the sky. Neon signs flashed across old buildings, advertising tech gadgets, food pills, and body mods. But up here, it was quiet. Only the sound of the wind and his own breathing filled the space.

The solar panels on the roof had broken days ago. Now the people living in the rooms below had no power. No lights. No heat. And they were angry. Angry at the cold, the dark, the hunger—and angry at him.

They blamed Jaden. He was the only one who knew a bit about tech. He had helped fix a few things before. Rewired an old fan. Repaired a comms port. But the truth was, he couldn't fix the solar panels. He had no tools, no money, and no help.

Jaden was twenty-three. He had no family. His parents died when he was six. Since then, he had lived in shelters, on rooftops, and in the shadows of the city. Life hadn't given him many choices.

He used to be smart. He loved machines and how things worked. He even got into a good tech school once. He remembered that day clearly—the only time he had ever seen his mother's photo placed beside a candle. But life was hard. The scholarships didn't last. He dropped out and faded away, just another orphan trying to survive.

He looked down at a broken tablet in his hand. He had found it in a trash bin two weeks ago. The screen was cracked. It didn't turn on, but he kept it anyway. He liked to imagine what he could build if he had the tools. It reminded him of who he used to be.

Then, something strange happened.

A bright light appeared in the sky.

It wasn't lightning.

It was something else—something smooth, round, and glowing. It had a soft white-blue color, like ice melting in the sun.

It floated down slowly, like a falling star. It stopped right in front of him, hovering in the air. It looked like a ball of energy, with shapes moving inside it, folding and spinning in strange ways.

Jaden froze. He didn't move. He didn't breathe.

Then, he heard a voice.

But it wasn't out loud.

It was in his head.

Jaden stood still, eyes wide.

Then, a shape appeared in his hand. It was glowing and floating—like a 3D drawing of a small power station. He could spin it, zoom in, and see the parts inside. It looked real, but he could also move it without touching anything.

And somehow... he understood it.

It made sense, like a puzzle he had always known how to solve.

Warmth filled his chest. For the first time in years, he didn't feel lost.

He didn't feel like a nobody.

He felt like he had a purpose.

He felt ready.
