Two Draupnir spears flew from Godwyn's hands, but instead of letting the spears hit the two Furies, Godwyn made them explode into ravenous winds, pushing the Furies back, breaking the charred trees one by one.
A sharp, powerful scream came from the mouth of one of the Furies, Godwyn's eardrums buzzed loudly as the world seemed to spin in his vision. The Norse Demigod returned to normal and moved away while using the spear to deflect the attacks of the other Fury.
Godwyn found it very complicated to fight both sisters at the same time; the sisters had thousands of years of experience and definitely had great coordination with each other.
Clang!!! Clang!!! Clang!!!
Sparks exploded every time the spear and the Furies' nails clashed. Godwyn used his spear as an extension of an arm. He seemed like the reincarnation of Cú Chulainn wielding the legendary spear, Gae Bolga.
While fighting without retreating with the two Furies, Godwyn still paid attention to Thalia. Unlike him, who was holding up well against the two Furies, Thalia was having difficulty dealing with the remaining Fury.
However, the girl was faster than the Fury, which gave her a certain advantage, but Godwyn could see that she was losing against the Fury, which was normal. The Fury had thousands of years of experience while Thalia had never trained in her life and fought in few battles. Even her extraordinary talent could not turn her into an experienced warrior in a few days.
The only good news was that Luke was already safe around the other Greek demigods and Chiron, meaning Annabeth and Grover were also safe.
Thalia, feeling immense pressure on her, became furious when she saw that she was increasingly losing stamina. "You bat bitch!" Her eyes flashed with lightning, before her entire field of vision was obscured by a gigantic lightning bolt that fell from the sky.
Zeus, who was in the sky, raised his lips for a fraction of a second, before hiding the pride he was feeling. That was a good lightning bolt in his eyes.
"Arghhhhhhhhh!!!" The Fury named Alecto let out a shrill scream before being reduced to golden ashes, returning to the underworld.
Thalia fell to her knees on the ground, breathing heavily. Her eyes were blurry as exhaustion made her eyelids feel extremely heavy. At this moment, she just wanted to have a good night's sleep.
Alecto's two sisters were furious at their sister's death and flew towards Thalia, who was still exhausted from the previous attack. The claws of both Furies were aiming for her throat and heart respectively.
Godwyn clearly wasn't going to let Thalia get hurt at this moment. At the same time, he couldn't believe the Furies' audacity to turn their backs on him in such a deadly battle. But, without any hesitation, he attacked both monsters.
Godwyn used fire runes to propel himself forward before spinning in the air and tearing Megaera's body in half. The monster didn't even have time to scream before being reduced to golden sand. The Norse demigod didn't stop, propelled himself forward and appeared above the last still-living Fury, Tisiphone.
Draupnir pierced the Fury's head, sending her back to the Underworld in a mere instant. Godwyn sighed with relief and fell beside Thalia, who was still breathing heavily, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
"You look exhausted, princess." Godwyn said with a smile, but he was also exhausted, even if this wasn't a body of flesh and blood.
"I can do this all day." Remembering her favorite Captain America quote, Thalia showed a tired smile and spoke proudly.
"I understood the reference." Godwyn finished the sentence with an equally amused tone.
They looked at each other and laughed. They were in terrible condition, but still had the strength to joke with each other at such a critical moment. However, perhaps it was just a way to relax a little, even if only for a moment.
Looking to his left, Godwyn whispered to Thalia. "A big guy is coming." His tone was solemn, as he could feel a draconic aura rapidly approaching.
However, there was no underworld aura on the big guy, so it meant it wasn't Hades' doing. But that only made him smile with a touch of bitterness. "That queen of the gods is truly crazy."
Thalia showed a touch of confusion hearing Godwyn's words, but her gaze quickly shifted from confusion to pure horror.
A huge being appeared before her; it was definitely the biggest and tallest monster she had ever seen in her life.
It was a dragon, described as a terrifying, enormous being with a hundred heads, "as if a hundred pythons had been fused." Its serpentine body is thicker than a rocket booster, and its shiny scales gleam like copper.
As Godwyn guessed, the dragon that protected the Garden of the Hesperides, where the tree of the Golden Apples of immortality resides, which, by the way, was Hera's property.
Ladon.
Zeus looked at Ladon and then at Hera, who had a victorious smile on her face; she didn't hide the sadistic pleasure of what she was about to witness. However, she still pretended to be sorry and spoke with a tone full of regret. "I recently learned that Ladon had escaped from the garden; I didn't expect to find him at this moment."
All the gods present looked at Hera with a certain disgust. The woman simply didn't hide her malicious intentions.
Artemis pulled an arrow from her quiver and positioned it on her bow; she drew the bowstring and aimed at the enormous dragon. With her father's protection, she was not afraid of Hera's punishment; at most, she would be locked in her room on Olympus for a few months.
As she was about to shoot the arrow, a hand appeared before her, preventing the arrow from being fired.
Artemis initially thought it was Hera, but seeing Zeus before her, the Moon Goddess's expression changed from disbelief to anger and helplessness. She couldn't believe that Zeus was preventing her from saving Thalia.
"We must not interfere." Zeus said with an indifferent and cold tone, his eyes calmly staring at Thalia. He definitely wouldn't let Thalia die, but he couldn't interfere at this moment, especially with Hades just waiting for a reason to start a war with him.
Zeus looked deeply at Hera with a calm gaze. Anyone who knew Zeus would be nervous, because when the God of Lightning is calm, the more full of rage he would be. At this moment, the King of Olympus's gaze was a deep well of calmness, as if nothing would affect him.
That look sent shivers down Hera's body, but with her pride, strength, and status, she didn't lower her head and stared at Zeus with a look full of resentment. It was just a mortal insect, which would die in a hundred years; she didn't understand why her husband was angry because of it.
Godwyn looked at Thalia and said in a soft tone. "I promised I would take you safely to Camp Half-Blood and I will do what I promised."
Thalia's eyes widened; even knowing that there was only a projection before her, she couldn't help but feel a tightening in her heart. She reached out her hand, but found herself powerless seeing his back moving away from her reach.
Before Thalia could do anything, Luke arrived beside her and ran with all his might, using his ability to the fullest. With each step, he was three meters away. His body screamed to stop, but he ignored it and took another step forward, then another and another.
"Let me go, Luke, or I'll kill you!!!" Thalia struggled and spoke in a furious tone; she wanted to break free, but weak as she was, she found herself powerless once again.
Luke ignored Thalia's pleas and accelerated even more, even though his body was on the verge of collapse, he continued to use his abilities. Blood ran from his eyes, showing how serious his body's condition was.
"Godwyn, I'm sorry." Luke had tears in his eyes as he got closer and closer to Camp Half-Blood; he saw some monsters on the way, like the famous Minotaur, but with his speed, a stupid bull would never catch him.
Looking at the disappearing figures of Thalia and Luke, Godwyn's lips curved into a smile, a smile that showed no trace of fear in the face of one of the most terrifying monsters in the Greek world.
However, before starting the fight, Godwyn telepathically spoke a few things to the dragon before him.
Hera could never have expected it, but Godwyn used Ladon's identity to his advantage. Ladon was the son of Typhon and Echidna, and Godwyn himself had some unfinished business with the Father of All Monsters!
