Chapter 29 - Chapter 28 - The Death of Godwyn (II)

Breathing heavily, Godwyn couldn't help but take a deep breath. This was the strongest attack of his life. Which also consumed a lot of his stamina. However, looking at the empty field of monsters, he felt that all his work was worth it.

Especially seeing the figure teleporting extremely fast, it was Luke carrying Annabeth and Grover. Even Godwyn only saw a fleeting shadow of the Greek demigod. Teleportation was truly a broken ability.

"Thalia!" Godwyn shouted and a figure covered in lightning accompanied Luke and the others with extreme speed.

Any monster that entered her path was killed in mere seconds. Thalia was worthy of being the daughter of a god king; the girl just needed more experience to be considered a powerful warrior.

Especially with Godwyn's guidance, the girl's powers truly flourished even more. The spear of pure electricity constantly changed in her hands. At one moment it was daggers, at others a huge scythe of electricity, and at another a bow and arrow.

Thalia truly looked like a goddess of war with a supernatural mastery of the weapons she made with her powers. Her small figure moved quickly, jumping, dodging, or attacking with frightening speed.

After catching his breath a little, Godwyn joined her in battle, fighting side by side, one protecting the other's back. Trusting completely that his friend would save him from attacks from behind.

"Her love is beautiful and sweet." Aphrodite, seeing the seed of love in Thalia's heart, shining with a sweet, childish, and innocent love. The first love of a girl or a boy. That pure love was the love she most adored to watch.

"And he is very handsome." Aphrodite added, seeing the Nordic demigod's angular, sharp, and naturally noble appearance. His long hair and golden eyes only made his already stunning appearance seem even nobler.

"However, he stinks of that Nordic bitch's perfume." Aphrodite showed a murderous look seeing Freya's blessing on Godwyn. Of all the goddesses of beauty, she hated Freya the most, who was very famous in modern times.

"I'll steal him from you, you skirted barbarian." Aphrodite murmured with a competitive and proud look. She didn't believe there was a mortal man or woman who could resist the charm of the most beautiful woman in the cosmos.

Zeus's face darkened in an instant; he looked at the Nordic boy with an increasingly hostile gaze.

Aphrodite noticed this and smiled at Zeus with a sweet and beautiful smile on her lips stained with tempting red lipstick.

Artemis frowned seeing Thalia and Godwyn's interaction; she wanted her half-sister to join her group, but seeing the scene before her, she knew that the chances of such a thing happening were minimal. Even a blind man could see that they were almost a couple.

What's so good about a man? It's just a penis and nothing more. If she wanted, she could have one too.

Artemis really didn't understand how all the goddesses seemed to care so much about sex; it wasn't very impressive in her eyes. However, the goddesses and gods seemed to live only for that, for sex.

Zeus only felt a previous fire within him explode with lust, but he soon controlled himself, knowing that Aphrodite was using her supernatural charm against him. Giving the goddess a cold and deadly look, he focused on the fight again. Especially feeling three extremely powerful auras approaching the battlefield.

It wasn't just Zeus who noticed; Godwyn, who was fighting alongside Thalia, also noticed that the smell of the underworld became extremely strong. The air smelled of decomposition and death, but unlike the Hellhounds, this smell was infinitely stronger.

In an instant, the list of powerful monsters from the Underworld passed through Godwyn's eyes, but he didn't have time to decide which powerful monster had arrived.

The biggest disadvantage in fighting an Underworld God was that the infinite hordes of monsters, all the monsters that had already died, could be used by Hades at that moment. So, Godwyn's list was extremely long.

In a second, deciding to change the course of the battle, Godwyn looked at Thalia and spoke. "Some powerful monsters are coming; leave the rear to me and follow Luke."

Thalia pretended to hesitate for a moment, gritted her teeth, and nodded, showing such a sad look that Godwyn wanted to nominate the girl for an Oscar, as it was a performance worthy of winning one. After all, the girl looked like a wife preparing to retrieve her husband's corpse after the war.

Godwyn no longer hesitated; he advanced towards the powerful auras that were rapidly approaching.

Moments later, Godwyn could see who was attacking. Just as Aphrodite was born from Kronos's castration, the beings before him were also born from Uranus's spilled Ichor, but instead of the beautiful Aphrodite, beings of pure vengeance were born.

The Furies, Alecto the Angry, Megaera the Reluctant, and Tisiphone the Avenger.

Honestly, their appearance was frightening to say the least. Godwyn had to admire Percy for fighting such a powerful monster without any training and winning.

"Get out, son of the north, our king only desires the blood of the King of Olympus." Tisiphone said, she looked at Godwyn with bright eyes and a bald head without hair. Bat wings clung to her back while her wrinkled, gray, and flabby skin made her even uglier than she really was.

"I'll recommend a skin cream for you; you really need it. Believe me when I say that Freya's beauty creams are the best." Godwyn didn't answer the Fury's words and said with a smile. Before the Three Sisters who terrorized the Greek demigods, he seemed fearless and showed no sign of fear.

However, there was no sarcasm or irony in his words, just a genuine action of wanting to help these women. After all, a beautiful woman has the confidence to conquer the world, but an ugly woman doesn't even have the confidence to leave the house.

As for the Fury's words, Godwyn knew better than anyone who negotiated with Hades. After all, even Hades himself knew how bad it was to kill a famous demigod in foreign territory; this was no different than shouting that he didn't care about Odin.

And knowing the enormous egos of the kings of the gods, Hades didn't want to bring a war to Greece, especially with the imminent threat of Gaia in another possible civil war. Fighting a civil war while fighting a war against another pantheon was asking for great casualties.

The Furies were confused for a moment; they could see that Godwyn didn't speak with contempt or even sarcasm, they just wanted to help them. This surprised them; after all, it was the first time anyone really wanted to help them.

Godwyn even swore he glimpsed one of the Furies blushing! This was truly a rare sight to behold. However, seeing such ugly and monstrous women blush like young maidens was not really a very pleasant scene. He even felt his eyes burn for a moment.

"I spent a lot of time with Freya and I can't look at ugly men and women." Godwyn murmured, trying to return to his normal standards.

The Furies looked at each other and hesitated in each other's eyes. They really didn't want to hurt Godwyn, who had goodwill towards them.

Mimir, who was watching everything from a distance, looked at Godwyn with an admiring gaze. He truly admired the boy's dialogue skills. The most terrifying monsters of the Greek underworld actually blushed like young virgin maidens.

In the end, Hades' orders overcame the Furies' feelings; they showed apologetic looks, but attacked Godwyn. But obviously the three sisters didn't want to kill Godwyn.

While the two Furies attacked Godwyn, the third flew towards Thalia. The main target of the attack was only Thalia and no one else. The Fury didn't even care about Luke, Annabeth, and Grover.

Godwyn's face changed seeing this and he quickly defended himself while feeling his arms trembling with the impact of the Draupnir spear with the Furies' sharp claws. The ground beneath them sank as the earth was thrown upwards, showing the terrifying strength of the Furies.

Godwyn really wanted to know how Percy fought a Fury with just a damned celestial bronze sword. Even being Poseidon's son, the boy definitely had never trained or even used his powers.

The Nordic demigod threw distracting thoughts aside and focused on the fight. The two Furies were not easy opponents, especially being flying monsters, fast and extremely agile in the air.
