The conversation was happening at noon, but Gaia seemed curious about everything, showing no sign that she would stop listening anytime soon. Godwyn had a bitter expression, he learned that he shouldn't test the patience of a goddess millions of years old again.
In the end, he had to ask with an exhausted expression. "What does the queen want from me?" Godwyn preferred to fight ten Ladons than to test Gaia's patience again. The woman was simply the personification of patience.
A victorious smile appeared on her full lips stained with tempting red lipstick. She looked amusedly at the boy, as if she were seeing a dejected golden retriever asking for affection.
Godwyn wanted to bang his head against the table seeing the victorious smile on the table, but he held firm as he stared at Gaia with a cautious look. He couldn't imagine what he had that could make such a powerful goddess so curious about him.
Gracefully sipping ambrosia, Gaia narrowed her eyes and smiled, a smile that almost captured Godwyn's soul. He couldn't help but mentally curse how seductive this woman was.
He knew Freya, the most beautiful woman in the nine realms, but even Freya didn't have as much charm as the goddess before him.
"Don't think I don't know what you're planning, Godwyn." Gaia said, looking at Godwyn with a knowing smile. "When you create your pantheon, I want a divine position."
Hearing Gaia's words, Godwyn's expression became solemn as he sat upright in the chair, staring at the goddess with a sharp and penetrating gaze.
"These goddesses of destiny are annoying, always knowing secrets they shouldn't know. I really want to cut off their heads." Godwyn said in a cold tone. He wasn't nervous about the exposed plans.
Since Gaia wanted to negotiate, it meant that the Earth Goddess had a way to make the Fates shut their damn mouths.
"You're not the first to think about wanting to kill them, but you're the first who actually wants to do it." Gaia said with a smile, looking at Godwyn with a brighter and more seductive look on her impeccably beautiful face. She had to admit that she had an almost fatal attraction to determined men.
Although the current Godwyn was a child by human standards, in her eyes, she didn't care at all. When did she follow laws, especially human laws?
If Godwyn knew Gaia's thoughts, he would be excited. He was just a little white rabbit compared to a veteran like Gaia. Getting into bed with such a goddess was asking for the best night of his life, even if the price was to pay with innocence, he thought it was a good deal.
He would accept this deal.
"I want the Divine Position of Earth." Gaia said with a smile, standing side by side with Godwyn, her enormous body dangerously close to him.
Godwyn showed a confused expression, he put aside Gaia's strange movements and focused on the divine position mentioned by the Earth Goddess.
"Is the queen not the Goddess of Earth, why does she need another Divine Position of Earth?" He asked his doubts, not caring about the goddess's hand on his shoulder. Gods have always been very casual when it came to touch and nudity, so Godwyn was already used to such a thing.
The smile on Gaia's lips widened, she looked at Godwyn with interest and asked. "How do you see a Divine Position?"
Godwyn thought for a moment, then, after a moment, came to a conclusion based on what he knew. "A special permission to use powers?"
"A little wrong, but basically correct." Gaia replied and added. "An Authority is like a door, the divine position is the key to open that door and access the power that this concept represents."
"But, this door has many keys scattered throughout all the pantheons. The more keys you have, the more power you can access through the key. Do you understand what I mean?" Gaia asked with a smile.
Godwyn's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. He perfectly understood what Gaia meant.
One of his doubts was finally cleared. He understood why there were gods with similar Divine Positions. No god possessed an authority completely, everyone had a slice of the pie and the bigger the slice of the pie, the more powerful the god in question was.
"What happens if a God possesses control of an entire authority?" Godwyn asked curiously.
"Very simple, my lovely Godwyn." Gaia smiled and answered the doubt. "The god in question can even deprive other gods of their own Divine Position. These beings are known as Personifications of the Laws of the Universe themselves. Some are incorporeal beings or are like me, walking on earth."
Godwyn took a deep breath, still surprised to discover one of the greatest secrets of the gods. "Doesn't that mean that all gods are enemies of other gods who have similar Divine Positions?"
"Correct, they are indeed enemies, one wants to devour the other to gain more power." Gaia let out a laugh and was satisfied with Godwyn's quick reaction.
"What do I gain by giving you the Divine Position of Earth?" Knowing this secret, Godwyn looked at Gaia with a professional look and asked calmly.
"If I ask nicely, will you give it to me?" Showing a seductive expression, Gaia whispered in Godwyn's ear with a gentle and sweet tone.
Godwyn felt his bones almost melt with the sound in his ears, her breath tickled his ear. The Norse demigod was stunned for a moment, but soon regained his composure.
"Friendship is friendship, business is business." Godwyn said with his most professional and cold tone. If Gaia wanted benefits from him, she had to pay!
"All men are so cruel, always rejecting a lady like me." Gaia said with a sad tone, her voice almost trembling, as if she would cry at any moment. Any man seeing Gaia's sad appearance would certainly do anything to pamper and adore such a beautiful woman, but not Godwyn.
He was a man determined to create a successful company and would not fall for the acting of the millions-of-years-old woman.
Seeing the boy's expressionless look, Gaia wondered if she was rusty and her charm had weakened. Otherwise, how could she not conquer such a young child?
Letting out a sigh, Gaia knew she couldn't get anything for free and spoke in a calm tone, her sad appearance disappearing as if it had never existed.
"I will protect you." Gaia said her proposal with a solemn look. She knew that Godwyn needed someone powerful to block the attack of Odin and Zeus.
How could they, who were used as pawns on a chessboard, stand by and watch Godwyn create a Pantheon. It was certain that Godwyn would suffer the siege of Two God Kings.
Although he was satisfied with the price given by Gaia, Godwyn calmly said. "The word protect is comprehensive, you can choose to protect during the fight or protect my soul if I lose the war."
Mimir looked at Godwyn with satisfaction, seeing that he was not blinded by the enormous benefits only showed that Godwyn knew what he was doing.
Gaia looked at Godwyn and looked at the child with a little more satisfaction. Terrible is not having a strong enemy, terrible are trash companions in arms, who hinder more than help.
Why did Typhon lose the throne of the King of Olympus? Because he didn't have decent companions like Zeus had, like Metis, Prometheus, and Themis.
"I will protect you at all times, I will not let any being beyond your level harm you. I swear by the River Styx." Gaia said with a smile. She would not protect Godwyn from weaker beings, if he couldn't deal with enemies of this level, it was better to give up trying to create a Pantheon.
Godwyn was satisfied with Gaia's promise, he finally didn't have to worry about Odin and Zeus disrupting his plans in the future.
"I will take my leave, my queen." Godwyn said, getting up from the chair. He had many things to do and couldn't waste time.
Gaia did not stop Godwyn and watched his back with a smiling look. "What do you think, dear sister?"
"Do you know how much I paid to prevent the Goddesses of Destiny from interfering?" A woman appeared beside Gaia, she was a tall and pale woman, wearing a black dress. It seemed that the very fabric of night embraced her body. Her black hair seemed to have stars sprinkled on the silky, smooth strands.
It was another Primordial Goddess, Nyx, the Eternal Night.
"But, he has potential." Nyx commented, remembering the conversation between Godwyn and Gaia. "Especially for not falling for your charms."
An offended look appeared on Gaia's face. "He is young, wait for him to grow up and he will know what true happiness is!"
"You sound like Eros talking." Nix said, rolling her eyes and disappearing from her sister's domain.
Gaia just shrugged and continued drinking with a smile on her lips. It really had been a long time since she'd had such an interesting conversation.
"Godwyn..." Gaia murmured his name with a hungry look on her face.
