Chapter 16 - Chapter 15 - Goddess of the Moon (I)

Artemis's silver-yellow eyes swept over everyone and briefly stopped on Godwyn and the Head hanging from his belt, then her gaze fell on the black-haired girl with electrifying blue eyes. Narrowing her eyes, she recognized the girl's lineage in an instant. A glint of sarcasm and irony shone in her eyes, remembering the agreement between the Three Kings.

She looked at the battlefield and understood what was happening. Two descendants of Divine Kings and two descendants of Lord Gods, it was such a strong scent that practically a third of the country could smell it.

"I must say that having a little sister is truly a surprise, dear father." Artemis says with a slightly sarcastic tone. The sky above her covered with stormy clouds in an instant. Zeus didn't like his daughter's sarcasm at all.

"You irritated him, Princess, now we have to listen to his thunder all night. But it's good, it serves as an alarm clock the next morning." Godwyn said with an equally sarcastic tone.

A thunderbolt fell five meters from Godwyn, startling Annabeth and Grover. Grover, in particular, shuddered hearing Godwyn's audacity, how could anyone be audacious enough to criticize a God King?

Artemis looked at Godwyn with a smiling and interested look. "It's the first time I've seen someone audacious enough to play with my dear father."

"I also like to make my dear father angry." Godwyn said with a slightly cold tone, mentioning Odin.

Artemis's lips curled into a smile, Godwyn had courage, that she and everyone around could see.

"What did a demigod prince come to do on our side?" Artemis asked, approaching while her Huntresses also followed their leader.

"Can't I come on vacation? I always knew these parts of the United States were very beautiful." Godwyn replied with a smile as he looked at Artemis's slender and small figure. Greek Gods were beings of pure energy, they could take any form.

This one Artemis was using was nothing more than any other avatar. But, there was one thing in common among all the physical manifestations of the Moon Goddess, that was her beautiful appearance and incomparable grace.

"All men lie," One of the huntresses spoke with a cold and venomous tone.

Godwyn rolled his eyes. You choose the wrong man and blame all men for being bad? Don't generalize, you crazy feminist. Of course, Godwyn didn't dare to say that, he was sure that if he did, a rain of arrows would fall on him.

"The truth may seem beautiful, impartial and just, but it is more painful than any lie, sharper than sword or spear, more poisonous than any mortal poison in the world." Godwyn replied with a natural tone, indicating that he was really lying, but as his words indicated, it was better to lie than to admit his true intentions.

The huntress, Zoe Nightshade, who had a cold and slightly face, was stunned to see that Godwyn really admitted that he was lying before the Moon Goddess. She looked at the beautiful boy before her with a touch of confusion, especially his words reminded her of the man she hated with all her might.

Artemis narrowed her beautiful eyes and smiled amusedly, it was obvious that Godwyn would not speak his intentions, but she also didn't care. What could a demigod do? Start a civil war? That was impossible!

Thalia looked at their conversation with a thoughtful look, along with Typhon's words earlier, she felt that Godwyn was hiding many things, but normally, she had known him for only a few days. It would be strange for him to tell his secrets knowing her for such a short time.

"Sister…" Thalia spoke with an unnatural tone, she never had a sister, only Jason, so it was strange to recognize a sister.

Her silver-yellow eyes stared at Thalia with a silent gaze, the girl looked like a copy of her father. Not in appearance, but in presence and gaze. She had the same look as Zeus, a pure look, but unlike Zeus's indifferent purity, her purity was truly pure.

"Do you want to join me, this proposal is not only for you, but also for Athena's daughter." Artemis asked with a gentle tone, looking at the two women.

Godwyn frowned. Thalia and Annabeth were too young, both had never seen the beauty of the world, joining Artemis's group meant giving up many things, including not being able to fall in love. As someone who fell in love, how could he not know that this feeling was beautiful and warm?

"Any problem, little prince?" Artemis noticed Godwyn's expression and asked with a slightly colder tone.

"Don't you think you're selfish, Princess?" Godwyn asked with a calm tone, looking directly into Artemis's eyes.

The huntresses behind Artemis pulled arrows from their quivers and looked angrily at Godwyn, they placed the arrows on their bows and pulled, ready to turn Godwyn into a cheese, full of holes.

Annabeth didn't understand what was happening and looked hostilely at the group of women before her. After going through so many battles, there was a warrior presence around the small seven-year-old girl.

"I'm not selfish, I just want them not to suffer in the future." Artemis spoke with an equally calm tone, noticing Annabeth's proximity to Godwyn. She could see the pure admiration she felt for the boy. She knew that this admiration could easily evolve into love.

"And?" Godwyn asked as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, surprising everyone, only Mimir smiled, knowing how mature the boy was.

"To live is to fall and get up, to learn from pain to live with it, that means maturing." Godwyn spoke with an even calm tone, not caring about the angry expressions of the women, goddesses and nymphs, behind Artemis.

Artemis frowned heavily, she looked at the boy before her with a calm, but undeniably powerful gaze.

Looking into her eyes, Godwyn felt as if an entire forest surrounded him, ravenous wolves and bears were ready to tear his whole body apart. Even being calm, his heart was beating extremely fast, he knew that Artemis was using her coercion on him, a mere mortal.

The level of life between them was as great as an abyss, Godwyn could notice this even being blind. However, the feeling of suffocation and pressure suddenly disappeared.

"Why am I selfish?" Artemis asked with a calm tone, she promised herself, if Godwyn's answer was not satisfactory, she would turn him into a bear for a whole day.

"The goddesses, demigoddesses, nymphs and women you welcome, have already lived a lot, experienced and witnessed the world. They have seen the beauties and feelings that this world offers, but you want to take that away from Thalia and Annabeth even before they know this beauty, if that's not selfishness, I don't know what is." Godwyn replied looking at Artemis with a calm gaze.

Honestly, if Thalia wished to join Artemis's Huntresses at this moment, Godwyn wouldn't care. Everyone has to bear the consequences of their own actions. But, he wouldn't allow Annabeth to make that choice, a seven-year-old girl didn't have the slightest discernment to decide a decision that would change her life forever.

Artemis didn't look at Godwyn and focused her gaze on Thalia and Annabeth.

"He himself said that you suffered in the future for something as trivial as maturing. Do you prefer to suffer?" She asked with a calm tone, without any feeling of oppression as she did with Godwyn.

"I will not abandon my friends." Thalia said with a firm tone, without thinking twice. She knew about Artemis and the Huntresses from Luke and didn't want to leave everything to go with this half-sister.

Although these days had been difficult, she had friends, who fought day and night by her side. One protected the other, she would not abandon them for immortality and something like that. As for the fear of the future, she did not fear it. She would face adversity head-on, without fear.

Luke sighed with relief hearing Thalia's answer, he was really afraid that Thalia would accept Artemis's proposal. He didn't want the source of his passion to go away and renounce love.

Otherwise, how would he have a chance with Thalia? If he dared to fall in love with an Artemis Huntress, he feared being turned into a deer and killed by dogs, just as Artemis did with Actaeon.

If Godwyn heard Luke's thoughts, he would certainly say that love was selfish, possessive and sick.

"I will not betray my friends either." Annabeth was even more voracious, looked at the goddess with hostility and stood beside Godwyn with a sharp gaze.

Artemis looked at her sister's daughter with an amused look, the girl had Athena's personality, showing herself a warrior even being so young.

Turning her gaze back to Godwyn, Artemis's eyes turned cold. She hated being disobeyed, especially by a man. For a moment, the elements obeyed her whims and a ravenous wind advanced towards Godwyn.

Godwyn was thrown meters away, but fell to the ground standing, proving that Artemis only wanted to warn him and not really hurt him.

"I will remember you, boy. If you dare to hurt any woman, I will hunt you down." Artemis said with a calm tone, she emphasized the word boy and disappeared before everyone, and with her, all the huntresses.

Godwyn twisted his lips, being called a boy. He wanted to take off his clothes and show his "boy" to Artemis. This feminist dwarf goddess was somewhat annoying, especially her contempt for men.
