Chapter 18 - Chapter 17 - The Prince Bastard and the Trickster (II)

"Loki, you filthy bastard, I hope you burn in Hel!" Hearing the name of the God of Mischief, Mimir didn't hesitate to curse Loki. There was an unmistakable tone of anger and resentment in the God of Wisdom's voice.

"Dear Mimir, hearing your voice gladdens me." Loki said with an amused smile. "How about you stand up and applaud me for my latest show?"

However, as if remembering something, he showed a fake expression of apology and said with a tone full of irony. "Oh, that's right, you don't have a body, forgive me."

"By the way, I heard Sigrun got a new lover, should I write a letter of facilities for the new couple? Since you don't have hands, I can kindly write a letter for you. I'm still surprised how kind I am."

Loki's voice made Mimir's face turn terribly dark. The idea of his lover marrying another man made his heart clench tightly, as if someone was squeezing it, even though he had no heart at the moment.

Although he knew Loki was the most despicable god on the planet, he was still furious with Loki's provocations. When he was about to use his long and extensive vocabulary to curse all eighteen generations of Loki's giants, Godwyn covered his mouth with his hand.

"He's provoking you, calm down and don't forget he's known as the Prince of Lies." Godwyn said in a calm tone, looking at Loki with a hint of majesty. Like a king looking at a vassal.

Mimir calmed down with Godwyn's words, but still looked coldly at Loki, who still displayed a sarcastic and cynical smile.

"I refuse your offers, half-breed." Mimir said with a laugh and mocked Loki. "A man who cannot protect his own offspring is not even worthy of being called a man."

When Mimir uttered those words, everything within a hundred-meter area began to change. The world seemed to be a mere illusion at Loki's whims. The surrounding buildings began to catch fire while the world seemed like a true hell.

The drastic change in the environment made everyone on the team terribly tense, everyone's bodies trembled with the pure malice in the air. It felt as if there were enormous mountains on their shoulders, forcing everyone to bow.

Grover swallowed hard and felt his legs tremble more than a stick in fierce winds. However, even so, the Satyr stood in front of Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth, trying to protect them.

This made Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth change their minds about the Satyr. Although Grover was somewhat weak, he was a true friend even in moments like this, where he could die at any moment.

Instead of being afraid, Mimir mocked Loki. "I want to see if you have the audacity to use divine power for too long in foreign territory."

As soon as Mimir's words sounded, everything seemed to disappear. The buildings that were previously on fire returned to normal while Loki smiled gently, as if he had never been angry moments ago. But this gentleness did not reach his eyes, for they were terribly cold.

"What is the reason for this visit, Loki?" Godwyn asked in a calm, even regal tone. The golden eyes of the Son of Odin seemed to want to see what was inside the God of Mischief's mind.

"I heard rumors." Loki looked at Godwyn with a smile and said in a mysterious tone. He moved his fingers like waves while his green eyes narrowed with an amused and even curious look.

"I heard from beautiful little birds rumors of a handsome young man with golden eyes fleeing through all the Nine Realms, pursued by a very familiar red-haired and fat man to the gods." Loki said, still with a smile on his lips, he suddenly appeared next to Godwyn and looked at him with curiosity.

"Of course, they are just rumors from an anxious, crazy, and insane little bird." Loki spoke with a cynical smile. "After all, how could it be possible that Thor was pursuing the most famous and kind demigod of our Norse Pantheon."

'Brunhilde, you fool!!!' Godwyn shouted in his mind while maintaining a calm and even cold expression. He knew who the little bird Loki was talking about, a Valkyrie he had great affection for. He knew he had to return to the Norse Pantheon as soon as possible or that stupid Valkyrie would point her sword at the All-Father himself.

"Did you believe these rumors?" Godwyn replied casually before Loki's sharp eyes. "They are obviously foolish and ignorant rumors."

"Certainly, after all, my dear brother would not try to kill his favorite weapon." Loki replied smiling as he circled around Godwyn. His green eyes always on Godwyn's figure, wanting to see any hint of rebellion.

"But, if by chance, everything were true, the blonde boy would certainly have my help." Loki said with a smile, looking at Godwyn, who remained calm and cold before his insinuations.

"The blonde boy is lucky, it's not common for the God of Mischief to help a mere demigod." Godwyn said with a slightly sarcastic tone.

"What can I say? I am quite magnanimous." Loki replied proudly. Which made Godwyn show a sarcastic smile, as if he had just heard something very funny. If Loki was magnanimous, Odin was a kind god.

"What do you want, Loki?" Godwyn no longer wanted to waste time with the God of Mischief and asked in a calm tone, his golden eyes staring at Loki with a cold gaze.

"Freedom." Loki replied with a smile, his eyes reflecting Godwyn's entire figure, as if he wanted to engrave the boy's appearance in his mind. "Like any other being, I want freedom."

"My people are dead or hidden, my home has become a cemetery while my family's bodies are exposed to the sun without even being able to rest in Ymir's arms. My sons and daughters are treated as aberrations, imprisoned or thrown into desolate and dead worlds." The smile on Loki's face did not disappear, if it weren't for his words, anyone would believe he was happy, but it was completely the opposite.

A smile did not show that a person was happy, often it was just a mask to hide true dark feelings.

Even Mimir remained silent before Loki's words. As one of Odin's oldest dogs, he personally implemented the All-Father's policy. Tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of mortals, died because of his actions. A sin that Mimir was willing to be punished for in Helheim. He will never forget the evil he caused to all the Nine Worlds.

"I want you to deliver a letter to Hela, can you help me with that?" Godwyn asked, after a moment of silence. He looked seriously at Loki, he could believe that the god was determined in what was about to happen.

A smile appeared on Loki's face, but unlike the cynical and malicious smile, it was a genuine smile of tenderness. He was a father who loved his own sons and daughters. There was nothing happier for a father who loved his offspring than to reunite with them.

"I will reluctantly accept the mission, my dear golden prince." Loki seemed truly civilized, he bowed as he again showed a cynical and detestable smile. His green eyes scanned Godwyn, as if he wanted to confirm something or better.

As if guessing if Godwyn would start the rebellion. Loki knew his own reputation, he could never unite all the Nine Worlds against Odin, because no one would trust him, but there was someone who could do it in his place.

Godwyn, the Golden"

Just a demigod!

The one everyone liked and was friends with.

Loki was sure that Godwyn could unite the Nine Realms against Odin, which is why he invaded the Greek Pantheon to find the boy.

"See you later, my prince." After taking the letter from Godwyn's hands, Loki wasted no more time and said goodbye to the boy. He seemed infinitely more motivated at this moment. His revenge had only just begun and would only end when he watched his son devour Odin!

Seeing Loki's back disappearing as if erased from reality, Annabeth breathed a sigh of relief. "Gods are scary." She said, remembering the world on fire. There was a look of fear on the seven-year-old girl's face.

Godwyn caressed her head and said gently, but severely warned everyone. "If one day you see him again, stay away from him. He is Loki, the God of Mischief. Countless beings have died because of his pranks."

No one doubted Godwyn's words, Loki truly left a deep impression on their minds. They would never forget the feeling of powerlessness when facing a god.

"Let's go." Said Thalia, being the first to compose herself and regain calm. She had already faced Typhon, so she was much calmer. Although Loki was powerful, compared to Typhon, he was still somewhat weak.

Everyone agreed with her words and walked forward, ready to steal a car and speed up their journey.
