Godwyn's mind was working at full speed. Honestly, a Greek civil war was beneficial in his eyes. At this moment, the entire Greek Pantheon was divided into three parts: Olympus, Cronus's Court, and Typhon's Court.
Olympus might be at its peak, but this was only temporary, especially when Zeus had so many enemies. It might not be long before countless divine beings chose their respective factions, and civil war could erupt at any moment.
Godwyn came to this conclusion in an instant. He wanted this to happen.
"Your Majesty knows how difficult this is? The King of the Greek gods is a crazy paranoid with an insane thirst for power." Godwyn said in a deep, calm tone.
Typhon smiled, looking at the boy, he narrowed his eyes and spoke in a cold, powerful tone. "Don't worry, I don't want the girl to get the Master Bolt at this moment."
The Father of All Monsters was not ready to start his second rebellion. He was no longer the arrogant young man who thought himself invincible thousands of years ago. Being sealed for so long had benefits, and he found that he was too impulsive.
If he had conquered the Greek gods after scaring away Zeus and his entire Divine Court, Typhon presumed he would already be sitting on the Throne of the Greek God King and become the fourth generation of Greek God King.
Unfortunately, he didn't do that, and Zeus returned with his army and defeated him. Typhon still regretted not having taken such a good chance to become a God King.
Hearing Typhon's words, his danger level increased in Godwyn's mind. It seemed that the Father of All Monsters was not so impulsive, but that made him even more dangerous. A powerful and intelligent tyrant was terribly dangerous.
Godwyn felt a little sorry for Zeus; the God King didn't even know what was coming. A damned civil war even more brutal than the Titanomachy. Typhon, Cronus, and Zeus. Godwyn estimated that even Uranus would get involved later, creating four factions in this civil war.
However, the greater the chaos in Greece, the greater his chance of creating his own Pantheon; he will use the Norse and Greek Pantheons to feed his own Pantheon!
Of course, swallowing both pantheons was impossible; the primordial gods would never let such a thing happen, and Godwyn didn't want to mess with such incorporeal beings who personified the laws of the universe. However, that didn't stop him from gaining many benefits from both pantheons.
Looking at Typhon, Godwyn couldn't help but find the Father of All Monsters quite pleasant at this moment, as if he were seeing a long-time friend.
After all, the deity was practically shooting himself in the foot by cooperating with him. But this was normal; not even in Typhon's wildest dreams did he imagine that a mere demigod would have such an insane, crazy, and incredibly awesome plan.
Looking at Thalia, Godwyn discreetly elbowed his friend. The Princess of Olympus swallowed hard and understood the implications of Typhon's words, but knowing she wouldn't leave alive if she refused, she showed a determined look and spoke loudly.
"I accept."
A smile appeared on Typhon's lips; just the idea of seeing Zeus's daughter betray her own father excited him. He wanted to see the disbelief on Zeus's face when the betrayal occurred. He savored with pleasure seeing his enemy suffer a painful betrayal.
"Very well, it seems you are just like your father, a hypocrite, traitor, and cruel." Typhon said with an amused look on his face.
Thalia bit her lips and looked fiercely at the god sitting on the throne. She wanted to scream, to say that she was not a hypocrite, traitor, and cruel. But the words she wanted to fervently pronounce never left her lips.
She just lowered her head and didn't look at Typhon, which made the Father of All Monsters even happier. He liked to intimidate anyone related to Zeus, and as Zeus's daughter, Typhon couldn't be happier to intimidate a mere human woman.
Turning his gaze back to Godwyn, Typhon's eyes showed a rare feeling of appreciation. "Boy, if you want a job, call my name and come work for me."
He really started to like this intelligent and cunning boy; he was worthy of being the son of the gods' greatest conspirator.
When Typhon's voice sounded, Godwyn felt the environment change, and he found himself back in the forest. Looking to the side, he saw that everyone was walking normally, as if nothing had happened.
Godwyn looked at Thalia and saw that she was still tense and nervous. He presumed that besides him, Mimir, and Thalia, the others had their memories tampered with or even erased by Typhon. After all, the fewer people who knew about the plan, the better for Typhon.
"How strange, I'm sure we were somewhere else." Luke said with a confused expression; he looked around, as if he felt he shouldn't be in this place.
Grover and Annabeth had the same feelings as Luke, but they soon put them aside and continued their journey without thinking much about that feeling. Godwyn and Thalia exchanged glances; both saw each other's intentions, but they remained silent and didn't talk about what had just happened.
-
Half a day later.
Godwyn finished killing a Hellhound and let out a sigh of relief. Many, many fights happened in this half-day journey; they were practically hordes of monsters one after another. Fortunately, Zeus was probably keeping an eye on his wife and prevented her from sending more monsters, or Godwyn would really get tired.
Looking to the side, he saw little Annabeth collecting the Hellhound's teeth; the girl didn't have much combat power, but she helped with other things like collecting spoils, never wanting to be a burden to the whole group.
On the other hand, seeing Grover come out from behind a rock left Godwyn speechless. Although he knew that Satyrs were not suitable for fighting, seeing Grover's uselessness made him wonder why Chiron wanted Satyrs to bring demigods to Camp Half-Blood.
Don't get it wrong, Grover could fight a Hellhound, but that was it, just one. If there were two Hellhounds, the satyr would be in danger. That's why Godwyn thought the satyr was useless in big battles.
"Godwyn, the Hellhound's teeth." Annabeth approached Godwyn and presented dozens of Hellhound teeth. She looked at him expectantly, as if waiting for something very important.
Before the girl's adorable gaze, Godwyn was speechless. Although he knew that Annabeth had paternal problems because of her father's indifference, he didn't expect it to have reached this level. The girl practically clung to him the first time she met a male figure who brought her security and tenderness.
However, he didn't care. He took care of Thor's daughter and treated her like a sister; it didn't hurt him to have another cute little sister.
"Good job, Beth." Caressing her head, Godwyn said in a gentle tone. He really liked Annabeth; the girl was adorable, besides being trustworthy.
Annabeth smiled happily at Godwyn's words; she liked to be praised, unfortunately her father or even her stepmother never praised her, even when she got the best grades in her class. This made her think that her father and stepmother didn't like her and hated her.
So, in Annabeth's simple and innocent mind, being praised showed that Godwyn really treated her with affection.
"Godwyn, we have unexpected visitors." Mimir spoke, making Godwyn look around with a cautious gaze. Narrowing his eyes, he glimpsed dozens of bows and arrows in the darkness. Dozens of pairs of eyes appeared around the entire group.
Women emerged, silent as wolves and fierce as lions, walking elegantly. However, it was the girl leading the group of women who caught Godwyn's attention.
She was about twelve or thirteen years old. She had a face of such beauty that it made Godwyn hold his breath for an instant, cold and bright eyes as silver-yellow as winter, and red hair tied in a ponytail.
Seeing the girl, Godwyn wanted to curse fate.
He had just met Typhon; now another problematic divine being appeared before him.
Artemis!!!
