LUCIUS POV:
I had just finished greeting Alpha Lycan and his Luna, Aisha. The hall was filled with the scent of power and politics, but my eyes wandered across the chamber, I caught sight of Delilah standing far from Tyrant.
Their eyes met for a few seconds and hers was sly and calculating, his was sharp and restless. I knew the look of conspirators when I saw it. Tyrant gave her the slightest nod, then excused himself, as he walked out with so much calmness.
Delilah leaned toward my father, Alpha Leo, and whispered something that made his face just expressionless, as the old man wasn't worried but just nodded to her request.
I narrowed my eyes, straining to catch the eye signs, but I still couldn't understand them. Then, with that same graceful pretense she always wore, she rose to her feet, trailing after her son.
