Chapter 1 - PRELUDE

Long before civilization began, individuals across the world discovered that they were different. They were scared, terrified, and even went as far as to call themselves monsters. As they lived in secret, trying to hide their discovery, they met others like them and realized they were not the only ones "cursed."

They later turned their cursed fate into a fantasy others could only dream of. These "curses" were eventually termed special abilities.

Through extensive research and experimentation, it was proven that these abilities could be controlled and made safe. However, they were still considered too dangerous to live among "the normals," as they called those without abilities.

It was discovered that these abilities could be enhanced by absorbing a formless energy in the atmosphere. This energy allowed the abilities to grow stronger or weaker depending on how much was absorbed or released. People with these abilities were called Epics.

The threat Epics posed to humanity was considered too high, so they were killed on sight. The initial joy of discovery turned into despair. Epics fought, were hunted, and many were killed.

Amid the chaos, a leader rose—the Founder—who sought peace. He and his followers called themselves Glow. Their mission was to find other Epics, protect them, and hide them in a secret sanctuary.

However, the normals believed that the Epics were preparing for war. In response, they organized a special task force known as the Hunters, equipped with advanced weapons designed to fight Epics.

Enraged, some Epics decided to retaliate. They believed their power made them superior and that they should be ruling, not hiding. They called themselves the Silverbloods and began to fight back.

After years of conflict among the Glows, Silverbloods, and Hunters, the Hunters realized that Glows were different from Silverbloods. Eventually, an alliance was formed, and they became known as Glow Hunters.

Realizing this shift, the Silverbloods went into hiding. An academy was established to help young Epics learn to control their powers and decide their future paths after graduation.

But just as peace was beginning to settle, an alien species discovered that Earth was special. Drawn by the same mysterious energy, they began to invade in hopes of making themselves stronger.

Now, the fate of the world rests in the hands of the Glow Hunters...

Fifty years after the Glow Hunters were formed, an alien race known as the Heathens attacked Earth. The war between the Glow Hunters and the Heathens lasted an entire year. Fortunately, the participation of the Epics reduced human casualties by 40%.

Despite this, the war caused massive losses on both sides—though human casualties were higher than those of the aliens. The Heathens were a battle-hardened race, known for conquering many other species across the galaxy.

After the war, Earth's nations focused all available resources on building new facilities and training grounds for Epics. Another major focus was the mass production of weapons for Normals.

The alien ships captured from the Heathens greatly accelerated technological advancement. However, the war left billions of young men and women dead, which in turn left many children orphaned. These orphans were given government housing and care until the age of sixteen.

All Epics awaken their powers before turning sixteen. Through extensive research, scientists developed a way to help all sixteen-year-olds trigger their awakening. Those who failed to awaken an ability were officially classified as Normals.

Normals were sent to the Hunters Academy, while Epics were sent to the Glow Academy.

After the war, strange fortresses began to appear across the planet. These were believed to be caused by a mysterious Heathen weapon that unleashed chaotic dimensional waves. These waves led to the formation of unstable portals, later brought under control by scientists.

The portals led to alternate dimensions, each inhabited by unknown races and dangerous environments. Epics and trained Hunters began exploring these realms. They were later classified into the following tiers:

Beginner Realm

Intermediate Realm

Advanced Realm

Soldier Realm

General Realm

Commander Realm

King Realm
