"ENOUGH!" Wonder Woman's voice echoed like thunder, silencing the chaos as her bracers sparked faintly, still humming from the energy they'd just deflected.
Jason tilted his head, amused. "Oh, that's pretty sweet... the entire League of Justice here, isn't it?" His gaze swept across the gathering — calm, calculated. "Now would you all care to explain to me why your figurehead wants my life?"
Every eye turned to Superman.
Green Lantern spoke up, his tone edged with frustration. "We agreed to follow order, Superman. We can't call this order when our very own leader has failed to follow it..."
"Just give him time to explain," Wonder Woman added, still hopeful. "He must've had his reasons. Right, Superman?"
Superman didn't look at her. His glowing eyes locked onto Jason like a hawk to prey.
"…He must die," Superman said coldly. "Regardless."
BOOM.
A shockwave burst out as he vanished in a blur, launching straight at Jason like a missile of wrath—only for Wonder Woman's shield to slam into him mid-flight, stopping him cold with a thunderous crack.
A storm erupted in the sky.
Green Lantern's constructs surged, forming a hammer that came down on Superman.
Flash blurred into motion, striking Superman from multiple directions—each one faster than sound—but the hits didn't stop him. Nothing did.
As the battle erupted, Jason moved.
One moment he stood behind Wonder Woman. The next, he was right beside Batman—unnoticed by most, silent like a shadow.
He leaned close, whispering only loud enough for Bruce to hear
Then he was gone again.
Jason regrouped with the Cursed Ones, their presence still hidden in the fading smoke of the earlier explosion.
"We're leaving," Jason ordered, firm.
"What? Why?" Vanta growled.
"I've already got a target for you," he said, slipping a folded slip of paper into Vanta's hand. "Move now. I'll handle this circus."
Suddenly—
Green Lantern came crashing through the air, his construct armor shattered, skidding across the debris-strewn ground.
Jason's eyes shifted left—Flash was down, unmoving, a streak of red smeared across cracked pavement.
Only Wonder Woman still stood against Superman, her arms trembling as she held back his latest assault—her shield cracking, her breathing ragged.
She wasn't going to last.
Jason sighed, adjusting his coat slightly. "Alright..." he muttered, voice low but sharp. "Guess I have to get serious for this one."
He reached into his coat, pulled out a mummified blackened finger, and without hesitation—
Swallowed it.
Jason watched as his Cursed Energy skyrocketed.{Cursed Energy: 134...137...145...162...182...200...220...234}Same with his Control.{Control: 83...87...91...99...112...123}
'Damn... That's 100 more Cursed Energy and 40 more Control. Double from last finger...' he thought, but his gaze darkened as he noticed the next line.{Corruption Level: 80%}
'I don't have time to focus on that. For now... I already got what I wanted.'
His hands wrapped themselves in cursed energy, black and red tendrils coiling violently as he launched forward like a bullet—straight at Superman.
The clash began.
Superman met him mid-air with a right hook, but Jason twisted, parried, and delivered a spinning back-kick to the side of his head. Wonder Woman joined the fight, her sword slashing in tandem with Jason's cursed strikes. Flash zipped in and out briefly but was quickly incapacitated in a blur of heat vision.
Jason's peak martial arts skills shone—his movements sharp, brutal, precise. Elbows, knees, counters. His cursed energy enhanced every blow, and for a moment, it looked like Superman might stumble.
But it wasn't enough.
Jason managed to land a few solid strikes—one uppercut laced with curse energy cracked Superman's chin. Another elbow staggered him back. Yet none of them could truly harm the Kryptonian for long.
Superman's eyes lit up again with burning rage. He first delivered a devastating punch to Wonder Woman's gut, launching her through two buildings before she crashed into the pavement, unconscious.
Jason lunged again.
Superman didn't even dodge.
He caught Jason's punch mid-air—and then slammed a fist into his stomach.
The wind was knocked out of Jason.
Another punch to the ribs. Another to the shoulder. Finally, Superman grabbed him by the throat and lifted him high into the sky.
Jason struggled, his cursed energy flaring violently but doing nothing now.
Superman's grip tightened.
"Any last words?"
Jason didn't say a word.
He moved.
A blur of motion and brutal force—his boot slammed directly into Superman's face.
CRACK.
The sound was unnatural. Pain bloomed across Superman's features as he stumbled backward, blood trailing from his nose.
A moment of stunned silence passed before Superman's trembling hand rose to his face in disbelief.
That shouldn't have happened.Jason shouldn't have been able to do that.
But then he understood why.
Behind him, Batman stepped forward, his hand gripping a chunk of glowing green Kryptonite. Its eerie light bathed the battlefield, and Superman's knees buckled under its weakening radiation.
"Damn it..." Superman gasped, collapsing. "Why... Bruce...?"
"Because this isn't you," Bruce replied, his voice firm but heavy with concern. "I don't know who got into your head, but this... this isn't who you are. You need to stop. Now."
He moved closer, the Kryptonite still in hand, its glow intensifying.
He turned slightly to Jason, puzzled. "How did you know?"
Jason shrugged, casually wiping a bit of dust from his knuckles.
"As much as I hate to admit it," he said, "I hold both you and Superman in high regard. I've studied you two for years. And I know neither of you would ever act so unhinged without reason."
The truth was, this had all been calculated. Jason hadn't gone into that brutal hand-to-hand just to throw fists—he needed time. He'd whispered to Batman during the scuffle, alerting him that Superman was being controlled, urging him to fetch the Kryptonite jet he'd hidden for just such emergencies.
But Jason wasn't done yet.
"However," he said, his voice lowering. "It still isn't over."
Batman turned to him, confused. "What do you— UGH!"
Jason's leg rocketed forward, burying itself in Batman's gut before he could even finish his sentence. The force sent Bruce stumbling back, gasping. In one swift motion, Jason snatched the Kryptonite chunk from his hand.
Then—he crushed it.
Green shards disintegrated into glowing dust, absorbed directly into Jason's palm. It radiated through his veins like liquid fire.
Superman's power snapped back into him like a crashing wave. His eyes glowed red with rage.
"DIE!!"
He threw a punch with all the fury of a demigod—only to strike nothing.
Jason was gone.
Then came a whisper.
A whisper that echoed through dimensions.
"Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine."
Reality twisted.
Superman blinked.
The world he knew was gone.
He now stood in a hellish landscape of blood-red stone, blackened skies, and temple ruins suspended in an endless void. Cursed talismans floated midair. Gigantic statues—deformed, grimacing, screaming—watched from the abyss. And at the heart of it all, towering on a jagged obsidian throne...
Sat Jason.
His expression was serene. Almost bored. Yet the weight of his presence was undeniable.
"I didn't want to do this," Jason spoke, his voice echoing in every direction. "But if I can't save you with words... I'll save you with this."
From all sides, blades appeared—ethereal, vibrating with cursed energy and something else—a flickering green shimmer coursing through their edges.
Kryptonite.
Absorbed into the Domain itself.
The blades shot forward, hundreds, then thousands, slashing at Superman with supernatural precision. Each one bypassed his skin, his muscle, his resistance—not by overpowering him, but by understanding him. Kryptonite didn't weaken him here... instead it slashed him....a Slash spicifcly made to kill Superman
And yet...
They didn't kill.
As the assault ended, Superman gasped for air, collapsing to one knee. His body intact.
Jason stood, stepping down from the throne.
"I wasn't targeting you," he said calmly. "I was targeting the thing inside you."
Superman's eyes widened as he realized—he felt it.
Something had been cut.
Something that had latched onto his brain like a parasite... and now it was gone.
The Domain dissolved like a nightmare at dawn.
Back in the real world, Superman lay on the ground, his breathing unsteady, eyes wide open.
"What have I done..." he whispered, horror painting every syllable.
