Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 (Intro part 1)

There are infinite possibilities in the universe, but it always has to start somewhere. Everyone is connected after all.

A black bag was on the back of a girl who had just taken a step on a train. The girl had long black hair and eyes locked onto a small screen. She had bumped into many people in the past, but now, unlike the other times, she was more aware of her surroundings. She had sat down and put her bag next to her without once breaking eye contact with her phone.

"Can I have a seat next to you?'

The girl moved a bit, leaving room for the other person to sit.

"So where are you going?" The voice said

"School"

"Oh…well my name is Yomi, may I ask what your name is?"

"Samishii"

Yomi kept on trying to make small talk with Samishii, which left her annoyed. Samishii's phone was now on less than 10% leaving her with no choice but to put it away. She turned around, finally taking a good look at Yomi.

Yomi was also a young girl like Samishii but probably two years younger. She has light brown hair and brown eyes. Her skin was very clear to the point that Samishii noticed all the blood trails.

For the next few minutes, Samishii had a vast understanding of all her surroundings. Two seats over was a mother and her crying child, who hadn't been quiet since they got onto the train. Across from Samishii was a sickly man wearing a mask while coughing. Then there was the businessman who cursed on every new phone call he got. All these people made Samishii slowly

go more and more insane. She turned her head to the left to see the fast-asleep Yomi who's head had just fallen on her shoulder.

Left with no choice but to stay motionless for the rest of the train ride, Samishii let out a big sigh. Samishii thought that this train ride was longer than before. Samishii's vision slowly goes black and blurry. Her breathing was now calm and peaceful, she took one final look around and succumbed to the sleepiness.

The sky was a weird mix of blue, purple, and green. The clouds were thin enough to cut with a butter knife. Ocean waves made relaxation sounds, it was a nice break from the train. Samishii had closed her eyes, she started breathing in and out slowly enjoying every second of it. She squatted down to touch the warm sand that was under her foot.

Two people walked by Samishii, one pulling the other, their faces were blurred out which left them a mystery to Samishii. The two had stopped by a dock and started talking, their words sounding like gibberish. They had talked for what felt like an hour, even though the words were incomprehensible every word felt like a sharp weapon.

One of them ran away with tears rolling down, after the last sentence. As the bystander Samishii felt bad for the people, it was a feeling she often didn't get. She didn't quite comprehend her feelings right now. A small drop of water fell from her eyes, she thought hard for a second.

"What's wrong with yourself… you don't even know those people," her voice was trembling a bit.

She now wants nothing more than to be a pillbug and roll up into a ball. Her feeling was now a stranger to her. Samishii held onto her knees and cried her heart out for something unfamiliar.

The stars in the sky arrange themselves up into a constellation. The ground under was not the sandy beach anymore. It was wet and dark like the deep ocean but unlike the ocean it was dry. Every move was reflected like a drop of rain in a puddle. No one would believe this was a dream, it felt too real.

"You are weak and pathetic"

Samishii looked up and saw that the stars were talking. The voice was strong yet weak, it sounded like it was having conflict within itself. Samishii was nervous and unsure how to reply, she slowly got her courage.

"How would you know if I'm weak or not, you don't know me"

The sky was uncommunicative for a few moments. "I am more knowledgeable than anyone else. I know more about you than anyone. You have to listen closely, if you want true paradise then you will end yourself."

"K…kill myself?"

"Do us all a favor and die or at least before you meet people who will die in your place"

Samishii's head was full with questions but before she could make a sound, the water started to move. She was now looking into the eyes of something unfamiliar but yet familiar. The water had turned into a man, the same from before, the one who was running.

"Who are you?"

The person in front of her looked human, but Samishii's heart was telling her otherwise. With one look the man pointed to the water under. With every step he took, the ripples in the water would show a new reflection. People, clothing, faces, and smiles that change with every step. Maybe this was a sign from a godly being, she thought about it as he walked closer.

"If you won't kill yourself than I will"

The man held out his hand and water floated up into a sword, swinging it once making the rest of the drops fall back to the ocean. As the man was about to attack, a stronger aura appeared behind him. Samishii saw the fear in his eyes and took her chance to run. As she was running, curiosity got the best of her, she took a look back. Two people stared at each other, both looked so much alike yet different. The man on the right had a youthful look with bright eyes, short clean hair, and a smile that wouldn't break no matter what. However the left told a different story, he had soulless eyes, messy hair, and was wearing a frown on his face, clearly scarred by time.

"Master"

The man on the right turned into a water-like creature shaped like a dog. The dog ran to the man with eyes like stars. Sadly the man didn't have the same eyes, instead looking at the dog with disappointment.

"Master, I missed you but how are you alive?"

The man swinging his sword sliced the dog in two, the water turned to bubbles floating in the sky.

"After all the stuff you left me to deal with. You didn't even bother to show up for my funeral."

He pointed at Samishii looking deep in her eyes for some kind of recollection. Smiling, he let out a big laugh, well pulling out his sword. "Hahaha, you really are a different person now."

Holding his sword over his head and swinging with all his might, breaking the water into glass shards. Samishii was falling fast which made her let out a fearful scream. The man grabbed onto his sword and throwed it under his foot riding it like a skateboard.

"If you meet the other me please continue befriending me, till the end of the timelines always and forever. Although I won't promise which version you'll meet next. For now it's best if you wake up and survive."

The man let out a final smile that slowly faded back into a neutral face. He grabbed a ball from his cloak, throwing a bit away from himself breaking a hole in the sky. The man took one more look into Samishii's eyes and left.

Someone had grabbed onto Samishii's shoulders, shaking them hard "wake up, Samishii." Samishii let out a cough and gasped for air. She opened her eyes, which had met the worried eyes of Yomi. "You stopped breathing and I was scared when you started to turn blue."

"Yomi…I" Samishii couldn't finish her sentence before the train trembled violently. Bright purple light shone through the windows, making the random girl at the back feel magical. BOOM, the front of the train had crashed into something making it explode. Yomi had grabbed onto Samishii, well Samishii herself grabbed a pole. Once the trembling had stopped Yomi let go of Samishii but she didn't let go of the pole.

The mother was holding her child trying to make the child stop crying. She took a look up making sure the people around her were ok. Maybe it was a mothers love but she made extra sure that all the younger people were fine, "are you two ok? Do you have any cuts or bumped heads anywhere?" Both Samishii and Yomi nodded "yeah we're fine."

The businessman stood up, his eyes enlightened with a bright idea. He took a look out the window making sure of the situation. "We all have no clue what has happened so I will be the leader of this group." Another man had stood up, it was the same sickly man still coughing, "I think the oldest should be in charge." Both men looked at each other laughing, soon a cold war broke out between both sides using their life skills.

After a bit just as everyone thought the sickly man would win. The businessman went for his final attack of words, finishing the sentence he looked at the sickly man who had shut up. The sickly man's eyes were to the left looking up, the businessman traced his eyes. Without noticing he realized his head had been cut cleanly off the neck. He didn't even realize his head was on the floor, his body was also still upright. In his mind he was still alive, who could have cut his head off so clean without himself even realizing that he was a dead man walking? He needed to know the answer before he lost consciousness. The businessman looked up, finding himself looking at two big alien-like eyes. The thing or creature that had killed that man was a giant praying mantis.
