The quarantine equipment included enough non contaminated food and water to last two weeks and three specially designed protective suits. The human life expectancy was only 20-30 hours after exposure to the pathogen, hundreds of thousands of human had already been killed on the planet. The remaining humans along with the vast majority of life forms were under strict quarantine conditions not being allowed to leave designated zones.
The ship was like a meteor shooting through the planet's atmosphere leaving a streak of plasma in its wake. In mere minutes Kilo had landed at the city being greeted by unbelievably strict quarantine conditions. Authorities were scattered everywhere lined with hazmat suits, the ground crews moved carefully around the ship as to not get snagged on anything, the only life forms without suits were the Eklan for rather obvious reasons.
"Kilo Uniform Victor-6583 we will be your security detail during your stay." Three towering Eklan military units stepped up speaking in perfect unison before one moved to pick up the crate holding medical supplies.
The city was eerily silent and empty as they made their way through, atleast it made for quick travel in the larger vehicle. Kilo knew this sort of stillness from a younger age keeping him on high alert despite the lack of a threat, he sat in tray of the vehicle along with two of the Eklan soldiers while the third drove.
The vast majority of the city was submerged in water with only a few large areas separated, these areas were connected by tunnels under the city much like the humans subway systems. Alien life swam overhead as they passed through tunnels, these creatures were truly massive with many showing off intricate patterns and vibrant colours.
At long last they reached the research lab without any issues, except for one of the Eklan soldiers almost crushing Kilo with the crate as they lowered it onto a smaller transport vehicle suited for the lab.
