Kilo finally thought he was about to lose his mind from being trapped within his ship but an order for him to exit echoed over the open channel on comms. In mere minutes the airlock opened and he stepped out to be greeted by a crowd of life forms.
"Kilo Uniform Victor-6583 we have created a permanent cure for the pathogen, it will take months before required amounts are produced but we would like to give you this one as a thank you for you contribution" As the scientist said that she opened a case to show a small vial filled with a black fluid.
With a slight sting he could feel the cure shoot into his bloodstream. Kilo was finally free once again, he however decided to extend his stay within the city to further explore. The city along with the rest of the planet slowly came back to life as the days passed with more and more life forms returning to their normal day to day lives. The city was vibrant with a peaceful environment, the citizens seemed to be in perfect harmony but as night fell Kilo could see shady figure often lurking through alleyways. It was a hidden side to the city that everyone seemed to ignore.
"To live in ignorance is bliss I suppose." Kilo thought to himself as slumped down in his ships command seat while in deep thought.
His exploration of the city uncovered nothing of significant importance to him so he prepared for departure. In no time the ship was leaving a streak of plasma in its vertical wake as it accelerated through the planet's atmosphere.
