Sami after leaving his clone decided to walk around Willow's Creek. He decided that the best thing would be to see where the attacks were happening. He started by talking to the farmer.
From what they were told on the mission there would be strange noises at night and in the morning animals would be missing. They also had some cases of missing people as well, but not as many as animals.
The school has sent two guards per city to watch over the cities requesting aid, but even with the extra helpers at night animals still go missing. They decided to give no students an opportunity to see how field missions work. Asking them to investigate and report anything off they can find.
Luckily this time an attack happened fresh so Sami will be able to view evidence that hasn't been ruined by other people looking for clues. Hopefully it's something easy like a family of wolves attacking.
Truthfully Sami really doesn't feel like another full on death fight. He'd like to train more, realizing after fighting the vampire he has so much more to learn.
He asked for directions from a couple of the people he saw walking around. Sami was surprised that those people were really friendly. Finally after asking they pointed towards the road in which he should go.
Sami quickly set off, following the path opposite of the mayor's house. Honestly he was annoyed with having to work with Lyra and Poke today. He doesn't understand what problem they have with him and wished they would just tell him.
He let out a huge sigh as he quickly turned his thoughts towards the mission. Eventually the road opened to a huge amount of land with animals grazing. Not bothering to go into the farmer's house, he went straight to the animals.
Noticing that a huge part of the wooden fence was missing. Sami looked around the broken edges. Noting that it seemed like it was ripped by force. Small pieces of wood laid scattered on the ground. He felt a small amount of magic on the wood.
Sami crouched down to take a closer look. A weird smell came from a piece that Sami picked up. Examining the piece of wood the energy he felt was stronger than before. It reminded him of the thing he felt watching him when he entered the village.
Sami honestly wished Onyx was here to help. She is way better at telling what something is, or tracking things they are looking for. Onyx always had insight and info on things he needed to do. Sometimes the quiet without her has sucked recently.
Sami quickly turned his mind to task as he searched the ground. He found more pieces of wood with the same strange smell. One piece had a small dot of blood on it, maybe from whatever destroyed this section of the fence.
Sami was hoping he could find some piece of clothes or something that might help out. Maybe they can use that to trace it back to the thing doing this. At the very least they could find a location.
Sami was so distracted he didn't hear the boots that were hurriedly making his way towards him. An older man noticed Sami and rushed over as fast as possible. The man was hoping to catch Sami in the act of trying to steal one of his cattle.
Sami suddenly poke on his back broke him from his thoughts and an angry voice was heard in his ears.
"What yer doing on my here farm boy?, a gruff voice questioned Sami.
Sami dropped the piece of wood standing up as he whipped his hand on pants. Turning around to face the voice he found a pitch fork in his face.
"Sorry for the intrusion sir, my name is Sami", Sami introduced himself. Stick his hand out for a handshake, ignoring the pitch fork entirely.
"I don't care for your name boy", the farmer growled as he spit on the ground next to Sami's feet. "I reckon the safest thing you can do is go on get off my here property before something happens."
Sami frowned as he lowered his hand, staring in disgust at the glob of spit near his shoes. Already having a bad day he struggled to stop his rising frustration.
"Sir, I'm here as a representative of the Oryan Academy. There was a complaint about cattle going missing.", Sami stated calmly.
"Then why didn't you see that in the first place? I've been waiting for your people since I made a complaint a couple weeks ago," the farmer replied. Lowering the pitch fork. "This fence right yer standing has been broken again last night. I am now missing a third of the animals there."
"I see", Sami frowned. "When they went missing last night was there any noise or anything. Based off the fence it seemed like it was ripped apart. I would assume it would make a lot of noise."
"Believe it or not I heard nothing. I just woke up to me animals walking around for the third time and pieces of my fence missing.", the farmer replied.
"Interesting, do you mind if I walk around the property?", Asked Sami
"Be my guest, but I want you off my property soon", the farmer answered.
Sami just gave a small wave as he turned back around inspecting the pieces of wood. Realizing that he got everything he could from the pieces of wood, he picked the one with dried blood on the end. He put it in his front pants pocket just in case he could show it to someone later.
Sami began to inspect as many of the grazing animals that he could, though he found nothing weird about them. Granted the farmer had plenty of cows, and pigs running around. Thankfully the chicken coop wasn't attacked, trying to get them all back would've been a nightmare.
Realizing that he was now in a dead end Sami began to make his way back towards the dirt road. Hopefully the group was done with the Mayor so they can talk about what he found.
As Sami walked his hands began to feel sweaty, felt like someone was watching. His senses went haywire as the energy he felt earlier began to grow closer. Before he could react a metal fist punched his face into the ground.
BOOM!
Sami's head bounced off the ground causing a huge dent on the ground. A person covered in armor stood above him. The armor looked as if it was brand new the way it shined in the sun. The figure towered over Sami as he looked at laying on the ground.
The farmer came out of his house, angry at the loud noise before he saw the person in full armor standing there. The person in armor was glowing red as the feel of death could be felt from them.
The farmer quickly stumbled backwards as he tried to get away from the armored person. The farmer quickly runs through the village screaming for everyone to leave now.
Ignoring the farmer and animals around them the armored person began grinding Sami's head into the ground.
Sami tried to activate his ghost mode, but it didn't work. It felt like his power was being hindered by something. When he tried different spells they all failed.
"YOU….SUMMON… POWER!", the armored voice echoed. Bending down to pick up Sami by the back of his neck.
Sami's nose was broken with blood coming out of it as he struggled against the grip.
"DON'T…..HURT…. YOU", it shouted as it examined Sami's face. "ME…..TEST…..YOU.. TRY.. NOT… DISAPPOINT"
Sami realized he couldn't hold back as he decided to release his wrist bands. The armored being looked at Sami as if it was amused as it noticed Sami's efforts. Deciding to be nice, it dropped Sami on his feet before taking a step back.
Not wanting to lose out on this opportunity Sami began to slowly unclick the bands on his wrist allowing them to drop on the ground.
BANG!
A cloud of dust began kicking up around the two figures. The armored figure looked impressed as the little wrist bands left a huge dent in the ground.
"Now time for round 2", Sami shouted as rushed at the figure.
The armored figure was stunned at the speed Sami was moving; it was double, no almost triple compared to before. The figure barely had enough time to cross its arms in a x before Sami's punch landed.
BOOM!
The punch caused the figure to slide back as dirt was kicked up by the sound of the two of them. The figure looked at Sami intrigued at the sudden growth of strength.
"GOOD.. SHOW….MORE.. ME…. DON'T…. WANT…. HURT…. YOU..", The armored creature echoed in excitement.
"Hurt me?", scoffed Sami. "Just try to keep you manic"
Samis charged forward once again, determined to stop this monster from hurting others.
