Chapter 1 - Chapter one

"Wow... so cute," one of the Interim High School girls remarked.

"Liam, you've got pink lips!" three girls said as they walked past, smiling.

Liam, a student at Interim High School, is known as one of the hottest and most popular musicians in school.

"Let's go, Cain!" he called out to one of his friends.

They were four in number — the F4 group — known for being the cutest guys in school.

Cain played the drums. Though fat, he still managed to gain the attention of some girls.

"Sing, boy! You've got a mesmerizing voice! Yay!" That was Kevin — the cutest among the F4. A known playboy, he often got into trouble with girls. But strangely, despite his countless scandals, girls still hovered around him.

"We've always won competitions. Still need to buckle up, friends. We've got the energy!"

Yeah, that's Brian — Liam's closest friend in the F4 group. After Liam, he was the next most sought-after guy in Interim High School. His handsome face left the girls wondering if he was even from this earth — though Liam still had the edge.

As they walked by, excited voices of schoolgirls filled the air:

"Oh, Liam! I've always loved you!"

"Liam and Brian are just too hot!"

"I think Liam is cuter, girl."

"Shut up, girl! I prefer Brian. He's got a masculine body — huge and tall," she said, giggling.

"Baby, you're sweet," Kevin said to one of the girls swarming around them.

"Just shut up! You'd never change," Brian said with a disgusted look.

"I'll be back," Liam said suddenly and hurried off.

"Where are you going? Liam! Liam..." Brian called after him but got no reply.

"Damn! I hate those girls to hell," Liam muttered, clearly irritated, as he stood behind the school toilet.

"Are you okay?" a voice asked behind him.

Liam turned to see the school's beauty goddess — yeah, that's what everyone called her.

Evelyn was one of the most popular girls in school. Guys adored her for her striking beauty that always left them speechless. Tall, slim, and curvy, her looks were simply stunning. Her nose was as pointed as a knife's edge, and her glowing skin on stage left the boys wondering if she was from another planet.

"Yeah... I'm good," Liam replied with a faint smile.

"Alright, since we're alone..." she said, stepping closer to him, "Liam, I love you."

She stroked his hair and leaned closer to feel his breath. Just as she tried to kiss him, Liam pulled back.

"You need to stop this now. Whatever happened between us was a mistake," he said sharply.

"Mistake?" she echoed, disappointed but not ready to back down.

"Alright then. But I love you. That night… I'll never forget it. You gave me the most satisfying affection ever, and I never regretted it, Liam," she said, still trying to stroke his hair.

"Just forget it!" he snapped.

"I never loved you. I'm sure You intentionally tricked me into your useless game to get me drunk, and now you think you've won my heart? Snap out of your dream, Evelyn!"

Feeling annoyed, he walked away. Evelyn tried to stop him, but his words stung. She began to cry, overwhelmed.

"I'll never give up, Liam. You're mine forever," she said as tears rolled down her cheeks. Her heart shattered, but her resolve was strong — she would win him at all costs.

Angel's POV

"Wow!" Angel whispered, thrilled to be a student of Interim High School.

The school was prestigious, known for its outstanding facilities — the magnificent buildings, colorful flowers perfectly trimmed by the school's horticulturist, the luxurious design, and the beautifully carved statue at the school gate all added to its unique charm. The friendly academic environment often produced students with distinctions, making the school one of the most competitive in the region.

It was also home to great musicians, with an entire building dedicated to music — a full-fledged music school within the school.

Angel, excited to be there on a scholarship, believed she wasn't in Interim by accident. It was her chance to unlock her true potential.

She was beautiful — slim, brown-skinned, tall, and curvy with moderate-sized boobs. Her long, black, shiny hair and naturally blue eyelids gave her a unique charm.

"Angel!" her mum called.

"You got into this school by chance. Face your studies and put away that lyrics book," her mum said, calm but firm.

"Alright, mum," she replied quietly.

Her mother never supported her dream of becoming a pop singer. Every time Angel composed a song or practiced, her mother would toss it aside without a second thought.

Angel often cried at night, longing for the day she'd be free to sing her songs without fear. One day, while in her room browsing her phone, she saw a flyer.

"What! Interim Online Contest?" she gasped.

She was shocked and delighted. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to escape her stifled life.

Each contestant was asked to write a song based on the theme "Never Give Up."

At first, she felt discouraged. But soon, the lyrics began to flow — they came from a deep, emotional place. It felt like she was writing her life into a song. She gave it her all.

Two weeks later, she received an email.

And here she was — living the dream.

Angel still felt like she was in a dream. But reality hit when Miss Flora, the class teacher, walked her into the classroom.

Instantly, all eyes turned toward her. The stares, the curious glances — she wished she could vanish into thin air.

She heard whispers around her.

"Wow, she's beautiful."

"Now we have a new goddess in our class..."

The whispers grew louder until Miss Flora stepped in.

"Good day, students. Hope you're having a great day. This young lady here is your new classmate. Kindly introduce yourself, dear," she said with a warm smile.

Angel couldn't believe how much had changed in such a short time. Just moments ago, she was dreaming of being here. Now, she stood before the very people she'd only ever imagined.

"Hello… everyone," she said, nervous but brave.

"My name is Angel. I'm new here and I hope to make new friends," she added with a faint smile, her dimple showing.

Miss Flora noticed an empty seat next to Liam — who didn't seem to be paying attention.

"Angel, please sit in that empty chair," she said, pointing beside Liam.

Then, she exited the class.

The murmurs about Angel continued.

Many students wondered how her brown skin could glow so beautifully. Soon, it was being whispered that she had possibly dethroned Evelyn — the reigning beauty goddess.

"Hello," she said, smiling at Liam.

Liam didn't respond. He wasn't listening — or simply didn't care.

"Well... why is he not answering?" she wondered quietly.
