A strong scent of chemical disinfectant filled the air, and tables were covered with every kind of instrument needed for experimentation. The fluorescent lights on the ceiling gave the room a cold, clinical atmosphere. There were also screens displaying complex graphs and numbers next to a large board where complicated notes were written. A few people, in all-white gowns, were testing formulas, mixing, studying, and scrutinizing their effects.
Nathan had just arrived at work when his secretary told him to visit the lab, calling it a formality.
Apparently, Nathan used to diligently check every corner of the building, but to him, this was more like a performance to assert his power over others.
"Checking every corner"? That was only a thinly veiled excuse to show people how serious he was. However, at the moment, the only thing on Nathan's mind was the flustered bunny he had left at home.
