(Jayden's PoV)
The temple may be old and was almost reclaimed by the local fauna, but the inside of it was spacious. There was no one in the temple, not even any cleaning droids.
From the looks of it, the temple was last visited a long time ago.
I can't tell how long, as the insides are clean, but on the outside, they were almost claimed by the local fauna, which is the opposite of what we found inside.
"Master, has the temple been cleaned regularly?" I was confused by what I was seeing.
If they cleaned inside, why didn't they bother outside?
The grounds, the walls, everything was covered with plants. Was this the temple's aesthetic from the start?
My master looked at me and smiled, "Jayden, you should have studied the Ruusan Reforms, right?"
"Yes, master", I replied.
Every Jedi knew what they were.
"So, tell me what exactly led to that and what happened to the Jedi after that?" she asked.
I believe that the Ruusan Reforms are the foundations on which the Sith built their power in the galaxy to one day overthrow the Jedi. So, I knew something about that and have some opinions regarding that.
"Almost a millennium ago, the war with the Sith ended with huge losses, both to the Republic and the Jedi. So, the then-Chancellor proposed these reforms. It was supposed to bring the cut-down military budget and improve civilian sectors".
"In part of that, Jedi were to relieve their Military Status. Also, the Jedi were relocated to Coruscant, closing down many temples in the process. This is to keep an eye on the Jedi, because they all believed that Sith were dead, and since everyone knew that Sith are Force Weilders like Jedi, there is a chance that unchecked Jedi can become Sith and cause problems for the Republic".
"At that time, there were Jedi Lords, who were ruling, and the republic felt that they were almost Sith-like. So, Jedi were forbidden to have families or any titles outside of the order".
I gave a textbook answer, which is something one would think that a ten-year-old would give.
In their eyes, I have not experienced any life outside of the temple. Whatever life I had before, that was when I was very young, an infant most of the time. So, they wouldn't expect some great speech about how those reforms shouldn't have been created or they should have been time-limited, as they were killing the order slowly.
Those would be my thoughts that I can speak out loudly, after a few years of spending time with people and growing up to at least when I would be considered a teenager.
"That's correct, and these temples were in closed status for a long time. If I am right, we may be the first ones in centuries to step into this temple", she said.
"If they were closed, why did Master Yoda send us here?" I asked.
I wanted to collect as much information as I could about Yoda's choices. If he had spilled even a little, I could hang on to that and pull out more.
My master thought for a second, "All Master Yoda said was–A vision I received, Pantora, you and your padawan must go. Open the temple, you will".
"Before you ask, he didn't share his vision with me", my master said.
Hearing those words made me think. If Yoda had a vision and sent us here, that means he should have seen something in that vision where we two would be helpful, but what is it?
If he said more, that could have been helpful. However, mentioning a vision is not particularly helpful. I need to be careful.
The reason was that if the Sith learns that Yoda had a vision, and he sent us here, then they would get interested as well. Luckily, not many knew of the assignment, and Plapatine is not the Chancellor to actively poke around the Jedi Order.
At this time, he was just the senator and his master was a Merchant to the galaxy. So, they can't make any requests regarding the Jedi assignments. Maybe Palpatine can do, but if that was regarding Naboo. Outside of that, he has to become the Chancellor to poke around.
The good thing was that we are too far away from any critical places that the Sith deem necessary for their plans, or at least I hope so. I mean, there was no direct war on Pantora during the clone wars.
The CIS established an outpost on the mother planet of the system, Orto Plutonia, but except for the direct clash with Talz, there was not much of a war in the system.
Well, Clone Wars was not precisely a war per se. It was just a platform to overthrow the Jedi. With the war, a lot of Jedi died in the short three years, which made it easier for Palpatine to execute Order 66.
With War clouding their minds, they didn't see betrayal from within.
So, before Palpatine takes an interest in this world, I should make the world an ally and ensure that his agents can't infiltrate any place of importance. I also have to find a way to make sure that his agents would never see the light of day once they enter Pantora.
This temple, this world, this would be one of my bases, which I need a lot for the war that is going to happen soon.

"Come, let's check inside and select a few rooms. We would need to go to the Capital City to buy some essentials and some droids for our sustenance and maintenance of the temple", my master spoke, bringing me back from my thoughts.
Having too much on one's mind would only make one lose oneself in that information. That is not a good thing. I need to check if that's happening.
"Yes, master", I followed her inside to select a room for myself.
The room is important, as I could be staying here for a long time.
