"I didn't think you had it in you, my apprentice", the tall man covered in a black cloak spoke.
The man is a humanoid, but not exactly a human. His head looked like it was stretched towards the sky. He was wearing a transpirator, covering his damaged face, and also to help him breathe properly.
"Anything for our cause, Master", the second figure in black clock spoke.
"Good, good, good", the humanoid spoke.
"What about the chancellor and the Jedi?" he asked.
"As expected, Vallorum sent two Jedi to facilitate diplomacy, a fatal mistake to the Jedi and the Chancellor, I must say", the human smiled under his cloak.
"Yes, but remember Naboo is just the foundation of what we are going to do. It would be years before the war starts. Before we eliminate the Jedi and the Republic, don't be complacent. One mistake, that's all it would take for our plans to become useless", the humanoid warned the human.
"Yes, master. I'll be careful", the human said.
"Go, Darth Sidious played his part, now it was time for Senator Palpatine to play his part", the humanoid spoke.
"Yes, Master Plagueis", the human bowed and left.
A few seconds after Palpatine left, the humanoid muttered to himself, "It looks like it was almost time for the merchant Hego Damask II to have a meeting with Master Sifo-Dyas. As soon as what was happening on Naboo reached his ears, he would be more open to the Idea of the Clone Army for the Republic", Hego laughed as he thought about it.
For a thousand years, Sith remained in the shadows. Planned everything, one thing at a time. Turned officials into corrupt ones, removed those who are too honest and made sure that they wouldn't lead to the existence of the Sith.
Anyone who knew that Sith lived on they were killed.
The Republic and the Jedi made it easier to keep their existence. They removed any mention of Sith from the knowledge banks. No one knew that there was once an opposite faction of Jedi, one who were corrupted and dangerous.
It was the fear of their emergence that the Jedi took away children with force abilities, making sure that the Sith didn't rise.
Of course, the way they did it, and with no knowledge about Sith among people, many started to hate the Jedi. If not for the fact that the Jedi were super powerful, many would have revolted against the Jedi and the Republic long ago.
It can be seen from the fact that happened in the future, after the clone wars officially ended, when news came about the fall of the Jedi Order, the people of Coruscant were thrilled, clapping even, forgetting that most of the Jedi who were killed were just younglings, who hadn't even reached ten years of age.
Ignorance may be bliss, but not always. Most of the time, it is dangerous.

Aboard the Trade Federation Flagship...
"I have a bad feeling about this", one of the duo spoke as they removed their clocks.
As soon as the clocks were removed, it showed two faces, human faces, one young and the other old. It was the young one who had a bad feeling.
"I sense nothing", the older one spoke.
"It's not about the mission, Master. It was something, elsewhere, elusive", the young one spoke.
"Don't centre your anxieties elsewhere, Obi-Wan. Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs", the old one advised him.
"But Master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future", the young one made a counter to his master.
"But not at the expense of the living moment. Be mindful of the living force, young padawan", the old man advised.
Young Obi-Wan agreed, "Yes, Master Jinn".
He then raised a question, "Master, how do you think that this young viceroy would deal with the chancellor's demands?"
"These federation types were cowards. These negotiations will be short", the older one seriously underestimated what they were going to face.

On the Bridge of the Flagship...
"What?" the Neimoidian Viceroy shrieked in terror, "What did you say?"
The droid answered, not picking up the fear from the Neimoidian, "The ambassadors are Jedi knights, I believe".
The other Neimoidian spoke, "I knew it, they are here to force a settlement".
The viceroy spoke, "Distract them, I will contact Lord Sidious", and things started to spiral out of order.
Sidious gave the order to kill the Jedi and the Republic escort that brought them to Naboo. The Federation was able to end the escort, but the Jedi escaped to Naboo, throwing a wrench in their plans.
The Jedi not only escaped the Federation, but they even rescued the imprisoned queen of Naboo and were able to escape Naboo on a Nubian ship.
It was then that the Neimoidians understood how deep in shit they were in.
They believed that only Sidious was present, but they saw him, Sidious' apprentice, Darth Maul.
