Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: A Year later (2)

(Jayden's PoV)

Oh yeah, though our arrival on the moon didn't receive any fanfare, the year we spent on Pantora was more than enough to get good connections, especially with the Pantoran Assembly and their Chairman, Chi Cho.

I remember him from the Clone Wars animation.

He was headstrong and militaristic in nature.

Though he was trying to do what's best for Pantora, he only thinks of the present, not the future. As a leader, one should be able to think into the future and see the consequences of what could happen due to their actions.

He was very pro-republic. So, if I want to save the Jedi order and the Republic, I would need his help very much, and the year we spent here was more than enough to create a connection with him and the Assembly members.

Well, it was them who initiated the contact.

My master had no interest in meeting with politicians as she hated the politics played in the Jedi Order. If they remained true to the Force, they wouldn't be limited like what they were now, acting as guard dogs of the senate and doing what they were told to do, without thinking who was right and who was wrong.

So, in the year that we were here, we maintained a low profile, well, my master did. I, on the other hand, create a Merchant Company of my own.

In the year we were here, I obtained a lot of items through Item multiplication.

Though it was only 10x multiplication, it was quite a lot of pharmaceuticals, grains, herbs, and exotic fruits. There are a lot of them in quantity in my Inventory. I need to sell them, as they would be worthless sitting inside my Inventory.

So, I created a Merchant Company, and from the funds I received through my publishing companies, I bought a few small-sized merchant ships, though none were new; all were second-hand ones, but they were more than enough, as the trade didn't leave the moon.

The trade didn't leave Pantora. For now, that was more than enough. Having a good foundation is more important than the range, as if I stretch more than required, everything might fall.

So, I started to cultivate good talents from Pantora.

I even started a Wine Manufacturing Company, which produced wine from Exotic fruits. They were in high demand that even merchants who traded with other planets and systems came to buy them.

Of course, I used my AI to create those companies, and made sure to meet people with a mask. I didn't want to attract attention towards me, as that could be very disastrous, and my plan would be ruined before it comes to fruition.

---

The Pantoran Assembly were alerted about the sudden influx of goods, but most didn't care enough to check who was behind. Even the Chairman felt that it was a boon for Pantorans, as there would be more food for their people.

So, officially, there was an order not to bother, but a few did check about my companies and me, unofficially, but found nothing about me or my origins.

My AI took care of those things from the start. I know wealth attracts greedy vultures, well, calling them vultures is wrong, as they would clean the world, not infect it. They are rot, who cares for their own growth, even if that destroys others.

Though my Trading Empire remained a secret, my master and I were not.

The Assembly called us for help a lot. Most of the conflicts are simple things that can be easily resolved, but the Assembly wanted to delegate to others, instead of wasting their time, and the Jedi were perfect in their eyes.

Though to them they were simple, my master saw it as a teachable moment for me. So, she never said no to their requests. As long as one was over, she would accept another, in order to teach me more about the people.

Once, Jedi Diplomats were a thing, but as time went on, their role became only useful when the conflict escalates to a very high degree.

If the diplomacy failed, the failure would be pushed onto the Jedi, and when it succeeds, the gain would be hogged by the senate as their victories.

Anyway, the help my master and I gave the Assembly helped us to gain some trust with the chairman and the assembly.

Chairman Chi Cho was not a bad person. Maybe I could help change his way of doing things without considering the consequences.

During the Clone Wars, if they had killed Talz on Orto Plutonia and occupied the planet, then many systems would have condemned them, even if they didn't care about Talz, just to fill their greedy pockets.

Pantora would have ended in a lot of trouble if things had gone as he decided.

The problem was it won't be easy to change such a stubborn man, but having a loyal ally is important and helping them see their flaws would make them to be loyal forever.

This year, it was not just my Financial and Political sectors that gained, but also my Personal Strength as well.

Every LightSaber Arts showed significant improvement, mainly because I could train freely without restraining myself, and the forests were perfect for hunting.

Instead of buying all food supplies, my master made me hunt monsters in the forest for food. Of course, to maintain balance, I never hunted more than what was needed, but these hunts gave me insights into how and when to use my skills effectively.

I can say the time here on Pantora is for the best, with no one there to meddle with my movements.

As I was checking my panel and thinking about what I could achieve in the next decade before the Clone Wars happened, my master entered my room.

"Master, what is it?" I asked her, looking at her distraught face.

"We got a mission. Get ready, we have to leave immediately", she said.

"To where, master?" I asked.

"Naboo".
