I came out of the shower and Aneli welcomed me into the planet as a member of the family. I asked if she had mixed hallucinogens into water. She snickered, "I just needed everyone to see you were not a threat. You proved you were more like us than you care to admit. So welcome." I accepted the situation with a grain of salt and went to explore the forest. Somehow I took a wrong turn and I heard everything. A young man explained how everyone was welcoming for a change. Akoni's brother Kahalo wasn't pleased with being the youngest. He wanted power and wealth but he sought help from the wrong crowd. He went to the pleasure barge to meet them but accidentally gambled the place. Now I own it. If they take it back then Kahalo will try to sell the place again. The others want to turn this self sustaining planet into a planet depending on others to sustain. This was one of the first lands to be converted into condos and mansions. The river will be blocked and the farm lands would start dying. Since I refused the construction company can't go to work. They can't generate revenue to get other people's land. So the locals have decided to let me stay since I am more accommodating towards the locals. There were talks about turning the land into a factory which would pump poisonous chemicals into the river thus killing many people. So as angry as the locals were for the sale of their sacred place. They are happy to have someone who allows them free passage. A law was passed forbidding anyone from selling any land from this planet to anyone else.
I came home and slept on the couch. I was woken up by an old lady who was skeptical of my age. I smiled, "When you meet your great grandchildren in the afterlife please ask them if I am still here" she laughed, "This one is cheeky" I showed her court documents and security recordings. Arman kept details which are now redacted. But I managed to get them beforehand. The woman was speechless. I am almost three hundred years old while looking youthful and fresh. She was eighty years old and covered with wrinkles, gray hair and aching joints. I hid the documents in the secret compartment in Calysto. I had removed the fuel since it erodes with time. The Nin mask was hidden too. The woman asked me if I could really do what Akume claims I do. I smiled as I walked away. She kept asking and I told her to get some rest. She stared blankly and declared her great nephew's claims as tall tales. This would protect me because there are so many people out there looking for me. There are those who pretended to be me as well. I can stay hidden for as long as necessary. I did attend one of the balls in the Everglades. I didn't like the party. It reminded me of the Supreme Sovereign party. These people weren't complicit in genocide. But they had no respect for anyone other than themselves. They ate till they threw up. They talked about how they are trying to figure out how to get even richer. It didn't matter even if they usurped other people's wealth to do it. The longer I stayed there the more I wanted to throw up. So after dinner I hopped on my yacht and went for a spin. The detour led me to some stunning views.
I came home and went to sleep. The next afternoon I woke up and came out to see Aneli with a small Aves. It was small with a rounded body. A four inch wingspan. The eyes were black with a thin and long beak. The feathers on the body were black but the electric blue feathers around the collar. One of its wings was broken so I used mud to heal it. I managed to find some sort of sweetener and mix it with water. It stuck out a pale pink tongue as it drank its treat. After a few hours it flew away. I followed it out and began gardening. Aneli asked me, "Why do you work without eating?" I shrugged, "It was part of my training. If I eat I must do double the exercise but I don't eat then I must do normal exercise." Aneli replied with sadness, "You were training mercilessly" I laughed, "If we slipped. They will beat the breaks off of us. The gifts I possessed can only be mastered with discipline. There is no room to be soft. There is the mandatory service in the army and the assessment to see which field we would succeed in. Our teachers were cold and distant. We were thankful to be alive at the end of our training session" she asked, "Did you serve in the army?" I grimaced, "They tried to but the courts ruled in my favor. War had broken out and the royal edict dictates anyone who is eighteen and above has to serve the army. I served as a medic" she grinned and she inquired boldly, "How did you get to stay so young?" I winced and asked her to forget about it. I made it clear how this state of immortality is a waste. She knew not to ask anymore.
After gardening was fight practice. Then finally I ate. I picked yumberries. These are berries with no covering so the red pips arranged in rows with a seed on the end of each one. These were cling to the large seed in the middle. Then I ate garland beads. These tiny green beads resembled a necklace. They taste tart and slightly briny. Then lantern berries. The outer papery skin peeled to reveal a delightful sweet golden berry. I noticed there were night berries here. Clearly someone had dubious intentions. Aneli watched as I waded through and collected Silim. I took it home and smashed to a paste. The scratches I sustained from walked through night berry bush thorns had vanished. The poison had caused a mild irritation. I did see a small pool of water protected by the bush. I placed the rest of the slimy plant in a glass jar. I used the paste on Aneli's arm. She had burn marks. The paste would first sting lightly and then have a cooling effect. The injury would heal faster. I wrapped it in cloth and told her to slightly moisten it every other day. Her burn should heal in a few days. She thanked me and returned to her farm. She had a lot of chores so she won't be able to visit for the rest of the week.
A few days later a elderly woman came asking for the plant. She wanted to grow it on her farm. Kailani reminded her, "Whatever grows here can't be grown elsewhere. It doesn't matter if she brought it here. You can't ask her to hand it over." The old woman stared for a moment and asked for some. The other reminded her to get back to her chores. I asked them both if I could go with civilization to get some food. The chief significant other was happy. The other was superstitious. She answered, "If you live here you can't go to the town. It is bad luck" I laughed, "There has been no proof of good luck and bad luck." We went to town and the locals stared at me as I walked to the store to get groceries. I got bread, some aves meat and some fruit. I stopped by a cafe run by all women. They served me niu. A large ovoid fruit with a fibrous husk and sweet water on the inside with tender flesh. It was refreshing. I paid them and walked off to find some clothes. The shop was closed so I tried to find another. Thankfully I found one. I got a few dresses and made my way back. I noticed they had tattoos on their chin. I admired their simplicity and generosity. I sat on a bench to watch them go by. Then I got up and went back home. After cooking dinner I sat down to admire the view. The reeds swayed left and right to the wind and Lampyridae were flying around. They glow a dim light as they fly to their own rhythm. Aves flew in the air chirping as they made their way home. Some of them began to glow in the dark. Aneli came and started lighting up the place hoping to find out if I had glued myself to the floor again. I realized how amazing gift night vision is.
The next day I was doing morning exercise when the scarred one came to make a request. He wanted me to come with him to his island where I can stay to resolve some issues. I explained how I am here to avoid violence. I am here to live and find inner peace. Until recently I was just a medic. I only joined because things got bad fast. I am not interested in a sequel. He asked me, "Who is this sequel? Where does he live?" I took a breath, "Sequel means a continuation of a story or develops the theme of an earlier one." He understood and smiled. I continued my exercise as he sat down to watch. A younger duplicate of him sat down and I ignored him too. I did breathing exercises as I slowly moved my body to a rhythm. I pressed my hands together and pressed my lips at the wrist. I blew hard and iridescent flames shot out. Both father and son laughed and applauded. The fire formed a ball and it flew around. It came back at me with a gust of wind. It hit my hand and slowly doused itself. Both gave a round of applause. Apparently they have something called the fire dance. The moves are different. I concentrated and blue fire balls appeared levitating in thin air. Then with subtle wrist movements I moved them from around me. They stared at me grinning. The flames formed a protective perimeter as some of them moved in a circular motion diagonally and the others moved horizontally. Soon they picked up speed and dissolved into thin air replaced by electric blue energy. I channeled it through my body and let it out peacefully through my fingertips.
I walked out to the beach and went diving. I can hold my breath for two minutes so I try my luck with dive fishing. I got some Ostreidaes. They are bivalve marine creatures with a thick, irregularly shaped shell composed of two valves: a long, cupped left valve that attaches to surfaces and a flatter right valve that sits inside it. I enjoyed collecting them. Specifically Magallana gigas. Crassostrea virginica was difficult to catch but worth it. Then I came to the shore and threw fireballs on to the pit. I placed my catch and watched them explode. I picked one up and cleaned the inedible out before I ate it. It felt salty so the next one I tipped it over and waited a little longer. The tiny cup pooled with water so I pulled it out and cleaned before it slid down my throat. It was delicious. I was delighted. A few children were there. I waved them over to come. They ate it too and went back to playing. I went back to the shore where the waves were crashing. Then I used a water and sand manipulation combo. I was getting used to the rhythm when a meteor shower occurred. I started breathing fire. The energy surging in me reached its pinnacle so I had to get back to dry land. I did meditation moves and watched as electric energy erupted from my body. It formed a dome as it crackled in the air making an eerie sound. After the meteors made their pass I looked around to see fulgurite everywhere. I used my fingers to move them all home and reshaped them into vases and plates.
