The next day I got up and did my usual exercises and went for a swim. Aneli was nowhere to be seen and I didn't mind. The locals were very friendly. I had a blast surfing the waves. The plants were watered and I spend sometime trying to understand how I can move things with my mind. I levitated the plates and hovered them for a few minutes before I put them down. I send rock flying at me and I focused on stopping them without earth manipulation. The first dozen times the rocks managed to hit me and I was injured. I had to use water and wash all the blood so no one can use it. Then I tried again. I imagined a solid wall and it barely worked. The rest of the day was practicing how to stop it. If I can do that I can try other things. By midnight I was no closer to getting it right then I did this morning. I decided to try again in the morning. I went to sleep in a different room. I never sleep in the same room twice. All the flames are doused together. I did do a detour to the roof. I spent some time admiring the view before sleeping. As always Aneli would scold me for not sleeping in the same room. I can't help myself. The view is spectacular. I like waking up to such beautiful sight. She would shake her head. She asked me why I turn off the lights. I recalled, "It is grandma who used to do it. She would snuff the lights out before sleep. It has health benefits. It is the only thing I am able to do in her memory." She just waved it off and went back to town.
I finished breakfast and took care of the plants and began practice. No luck. So I sat down to focus. I recalled how Arwena was betrayed. She astral projected and they slit her throat so she can get back in. They threw her into a hole and covered it with earth. All because they couldn't replicate her gifts. The feeling was none I had ever felt before. I felt my insides turn cold. I got and made it the small body of water guard by the night berries. I placed my hand and the water turned to ice. The water frosted over then thawed enough to seperate. I dipped my hand in the water. Ice needles tilted to let my hand in. I picked one up. These flat rectangular structures were half an inch long. The edge had a pale blue sheen. I thought I was using water manipulation till I waved my hand a snowball appeared in my hand. I focused and the snow melted. I realized that I manipulate ice without the need for a water source. I quietly walked out and found Aneli staring at the thorn from behind a tree. She was hiding for some reason. She invited me for dinner. I declined her offer and went to the cave. She tried to follow but another person came looking for her. She gave me a longing look before heading in his direction. I started meditative exercise where I moved my hand in a rhythm with my breath. My leg moving slowly. Breathing in and out as my hand moved forward before sliding sideways and upwards. I slowly stepped forward and focused. A large snowflake formed and it was beautiful. I waved my hand and it flew in the air. It spun wildly as it sliced a few bushes before lodging itself in a tree trunk. As it melted the chief came to give me a different land. He explained that the land I lived in was sacred but the house I was living in was a prison. I slipped and fell to the floor. He started laughing. I yelled as I got up, "You should have said that before." He grinned, "Next time I will start with that" I had all my belongings placed in my yacht and moved it to the new property. The place was beautiful and I liked the view. I had my precious plants moved there too. I saw the locals watch me as I meticulously transplanted them.
I sat down to enjoy the view when a fire broke out and I ran to help. I doused the fire and had the burn victim taken to my house. I crushed the flower of the mountain. A fragrant plant that is used in Arcan and elsewhere to heal burns. It speeds the healing process. I rubbed the paste and he stopped screaming in pain. Then I wrapped the paste with gauze. I requested his family to let him rest. I took Silim and prepared a tincture. The family watched as beat the entire plant to a pulp. Then strained it before adding salt. Then I left it out in sunlight till the color went from forest green to a rich purple. I explained to the family to wash the pulp in the morning and rub this on his wounds to speed the healing process. They accepted it with smile. I asked where I can get something to eat. I wasn't hungry but I would like to make sure I have something to eat in the morning. The family asked me, "why do you do this to yourself? You need to eat like a normal person" I shrugged, "I was raised in such a manner. My grandma made it clear. The body has urges. If I give into it I am no different than an animal. If I can control my hunger I can master anything. I can discipline myself. So from childhood grandma would make me twice the chores if I eat breakfast and normal duties if I skip breakfast. Some days I won't eat for an entire day. I only after sunset. I would get treats occasionally but only if grandma believes I deserves it. I am used to it. It is the tradition of my family." They smiled, "You must honor your family tradition." I smiled, "I will try."
I reached over and checked his pulse. His pulse was still a little high so I manipulated a fulgurite plate by changing them into cups. I shot fire into each cup and immediately placed on his body. The family can the empty cup suck up his skin. The skin turned slightly red and I pulled out the cups and set my hands on fire. The pale blue flames were barely visible. Then I rubbed my hands over his skin without inflicting pain. The fire tribe taught me fire therapy growing up so it was the easiest to do. I ran my hands over his body and particularly his knees which appeared to ache as he moved. He stopped wincing and started moving his legs are though they were free. His expression turned to one of happiness. I grinned, "One of my neighbors in the fire tribe was the famous medicine man. So granny sent me there to learn. Which is why I was a medic during the war between Arcan and Oblix." I did spend a lot of time with Arman's medical section so I had learned everything they have. He got up and I gave them the tincture and told them to keep the bottle in direct sunlight. After he had his lunch they must wash the plant mush off him and wash with soap and pat dry. Then use a gauze or a swab to dab the burns. Afterwards wrap the area and clean it once a day. They took the tincture and left with a grateful smile. I sat down to have O'cha. I made a mental list of things to get. One of them was a needle set for therapy sessions. I had practiced and still remember the techniques because I spent my spare time practicing.
The next trip to Thebes was an interesting one. I didn't find a single place that sells needles used in medicine. So I had to find traders from other worlds who had come to sell their goods. The one to do so was called the off world market where different species were sitting in small booths selling their goods. I got water silk, some sweets, x-ray scanner, Gharqa plant and also some perfume. I asked them if anyone who looked like me was here. A kind old man pointed to the east. I kept walking till I found a man wearing outfits I found while Arman had travelled through the Guanga passage towards the Han regions. The man was friendly and spoke the unified language. He was curious why I wanted the items. But regardless he said he will get them for me the next time he comes. He only arrives to sell once every other month. So he checked his calendar which was written in his native language. He told me to come the month after and I promised to come. I tried to pay in advance but he explained how it was not necessary. I moved to see the other stalls. I got some herbal O'cha, actual black O'cha and a stone grinder. I had to hire a porter who helped move the goods from the market to my yacht. I came back and arranged everything before I made dinner. I stopped by a place that sold mortar and pestle made from basalt. The heavy kitchen was exactly what I needed. I got two and took them home.
I bought grains and placed them in the grinder and spun the top half till they were powder. I brushed them into a bowl. Then I gradually added water and kneaded till the dough was at a preferred consistency. I let it rest after I rubbed some animal fat on it. While I washed the vegetables I needed. Some were pickled while others were chopped and blanched. The blanched ones were placed in a bowl. They were tossed with herbs before I poured hot animal fat on top. The dough was divided into sections and they were flattened. Then I stretched as I slapped them on the greased table. After some time I rip them from the middle and toss them in a clay pot of boiling salt water. When they were cooked to my desire I pulled them out and added them to the bowl. Then I thinly sliced Bos Taurus meat and cooked them on a flattened iron slab greased with fat. Then I arranged my bowl and began eating. The locals watched me cook outside. They are used to cooking inside the house. I ignored them as a rule as I finished my meal. I washed the dishes and arranged both basalt mortar and pestles and fused them till they were one large mortar. I went back and bought two smaller ones which I turned into three balls with slanted groves on them. I placed a handful of the flower of the mountain and salt. Then I wriggled my fingers. The balls started rolling as they ran over the plant. Then they went diagonally before going in a crisscross fashion. They kept going till it was mush. After scrapping it into a bowl I washed the mortar and began crushing rock salt. This was a cleaning grandma used. The mush was placed on a piece of coth and liquid was squeezed out. The liquid was stored in a jar while the mush was thrown in the compost pile.
I decided to go for a walk and heard people talk about two faced people. They explained, "You can hear their thoughts so when they betray you it hits harder than you will ever." A few wished they had telepathy. Others wished to time travel. I happily chuckled as I quietly walked around the neighbourhood before sleeping. The next morning after gardening was completed. I sat down with a cup of O'cha. I was getting ready to meditate. My focus was diverted when someone mentioned the assault which took place last night. Instinctively I focused on hearing thoughts to find the crook. I didn't hear anything. I took a breath to practice telepathy. I had to pick a target and try. I focused on Aneli who was not far from where I was. She was doing dances central to her island. I flit in and was shocked. She was trying to practice a ritual which allegedly switched souls. She wanted power and she believes becoming me will give her that. I waited till she left and quietly went to Thebes. I sold my yacht and got five hundred thousand Valutas. I got fuel and food before hitching a ride back. I gave the land back to Kailani and told her plant exotic and rare plants. And keep endangered species there. Under the galactic law any damage to endangered species is heavily fined. It took some convincing but she finally accepted. I took everything that I bought or made so there will be no trace of me left. I waved goodbye as I left the Everglades. I moved to the system nearby. Mir system is a planet with only high rises. Its capital is Civitas. I moved there and got a job as a glassblower and ceramic craft maker. The rent was a five thousand valuta so I had no problem. I can live in the space on the floor above me. I used telekinesis to figure out what the customer wants and design it accordingly. I introduced myself as Ouránios which means Celestial.
