Chapter 41 - Chapter 15

Ten years is up so off I go. This time to Escala. I hope I have no problems there. I packed only the essentials. The rest I sold off and sent to my account. I had a stock broker who would buy and sell shares in my name. He would make sure the account is taken care of. I made it to the space port and saw people from the Everglades. They were searching for someone. I hope it isn't me. I pulled my hoodie to cover my face as I walked towards Calysto. I got permission to leave and the nice gentleman wished me well. I managed to get to the upper atmosphere when I got a message from Cu rāutate. They wanted to make sure my body was still stable after everything. I promised to be there in a few hours. I looked behind to see a Tishian ship. I got out of its way before opening a star bridge to Hypogean. The view was spectacular. I saw different coloured planets. I saw an ice planet. I saw a planet that looked like marble. I saw a planet where it rained diamonds. I saw a ship getting totaled by a micro meteor shower. The meteors are small but can cause damage to ships only if they are maintained poorly. The bridge opened to my destination. I arrived to see buildings that are not majestic nor picturesque. In fact it is functional and stern. There is practicality but there are no esthetics. A few men were waiting in sterilised uniforms. I was escorted to a hyperbaric chamber and lulled to sleep.

I woke up after some time and the scientist asked me if I was feeling ok. I was ok until I got up. My body felt like it was burning and I climbed up the wall before I passed out from suffocation. I opened my eyes to see I was a gurney. Sas was there with some food and drinks. She is a Teal. Her skin is dark blue with a constellation-like pattern on her arms and around her collarbones. Her hair is red with orange streaks here and there. The people on her planet are all technopaths. They have the ability to manipulate technology. I wanted to speak but I was so tired I couldn't. So I thought out loud. She jumped off her seat. She stared at me clutching the stitch of her clothes, hyperventilating, her silver showed fear as her pupils were dilated. She was shaking with fear so she was unable to utter a word. Finally an orderly came to see how things were. He called everyone and they came to check up on me before I got to eat. I was hungry. They had these pallets that they poured into bowls and placed inside a machine. After the push of a few buttons. They pick up the bowl and inside it is delicious food. I had several helpings. Afterwards I ran the entire day on the treadmill. I spent the night practicing ice sculptures. It is a water nation's legendary move. Most water manipulators can use water to make an ice sculpture of themselves. So if anyone hits it they explode. It was a form of security guards in the olden days but the knowledge was lost. It took me all night to master. Trapping pressurised air around a hard shell ice sheet. It is slightly opaque. The next was inferno. Where I am engulfed in flames. The trick is to hide in the flames to ambush the prey. Next was combustible air. That took hours to perfect. The next was Ice forge where I make weapons out of ice that are sharp enough to slice through wood and flesh. I remembered the snowflake from the Everglades. The process was easier after the first attempt it was simply a matter of recollection.

The next few days I summoned thunderstorms and walked through walls. Opened portals and flew over the building. I stomped on the ground and the spikes rose. They vary from earth, fire, metal or ice. Then the meditation to a controlled room where I practiced lava manipulation. They moved like waves and then formed into a ball and swung in the air till they reached their target. Spikes shoot out as a defence mechanism. It engulfed the object and incinerated it. The smell of burning plants and metal was overpowering. The place was aired out and Sas asked me to get some rest. I was taken upstairs and shown my new room. I got some sleep. The next morning I boarded a Flurg freighter ship. The dark lilac coloured ship took me to the prison called the vortex. Where I had to escape the place before sundown. I can't use the elements. I can only use each new abilities just once. From their point of view me being an elemental is cheating. To me it was breathing. So I was taken to the depths of the prison and told to count to fifty. I did and then used a knife to open the door. Outside the door was Jorogomu. A woman with disheleved black hair with spider legs sprouting from her back. I moved slowly and her eyes followed me. I kept her in place with telepathy. She stared with a vacant expression. I slipped out of the corridor to meet a death worm. A huge worm with teeth fashioned like hooks going round its mouth. The teeth moved open and closed as though they were trying to grab their prey before diving into the depths. The floor is unstable so I had to freely climb the walls. I held on to the cracks in the ceiling as I made my way out of there. The stairs were visible. I jumped on it as it detached itself and moved to another direction.

I shook my head as I pictured a laughing Sas. I moved on to find the dreaded Akhlut. This is a shape shifter that exists in water and land. Once they sense you. You had better run because they will rip you to shreds. Behind him was a pit with a Jörmungandr or the dreaded world serpent. This beast never sleeps and is always hungry. I ran through the wall till I found a different flight of stairs. A creature showed up and I got startled and I used electric energy to zap it before sliding downstairs. There was one more floor between me and the exit and if I leaned down I could see the front door. A tentacle grabbed my leg and I was dangling my ankles. I connected with it and opened a window and lowered me out. The scientists gave a round of applause. I was asked to go in and try again. I can't use the abilities I used. I was sent to a different section. I was dark and dank. The air smelled of decay. Cries despair was all over. I focused and activated night vision and started walking. A darkling came forward. It was a figure made out of smoke. With blood red eyes. I ignored it and walked through the door and found skeletal beings. Their flesh was rotting and peeling off. Their entire eyeball glowed yellow. They stared with vacant expressions as I walked by. The door was blocked by a monstrous creature. It had reptilian skin and claws instead of hooves. It had branching antlers tipped with boney hooks. It smelled of sulphur and its cry was a screeching metal. It refused to budge so I was forced to use my shadow to make it move. I walked past it and climbed out of the window and jumped. I flew a few feet and dove down. The shadow followed me and I felt the only thing which could dispel it was light. I made a fist and pure white light and I sent it hurtling at it. It disappeared and then I opened a portal to get to the courtyard. Sas decided I had enough and we went back to Hypogean.

As we arrived we saw Archimedean battleships come out of the space bridge and started blasting us into oblivion. These fair skinned blonde hair, blue eyed people who claim to be from civilized places are ruthless killers. They onboard their Reuleaux triangle shaped fighterships charging at the main building. They weren't alone. Trojians came in enneagon shaped fighterships. Behind them were the red haired and green eyed Kree in their warship. They are a self proclaimed more deserving race. Their ship was Gömböc so it is ever deforming and reshaping the outer hull. Next to them were the Corgeans flying their rusty but trusted Chiliagon warships. All of them have mousy brown hair, swallow skinned, wide nosed and raspy voiced people. While their gunships are outdated they still pose a threat. The Kovans flew in their brand news septagon shaped fighterships. They flung Megagon shaped projectiles at us. I used telepathy and portals to let everyone in. Then I use a thunderstorm like Katatumbo to bring them down. Hypogeans aren't soft either they are technically advanced so they have ships shaped like tetrahedron. They shot out projectiles shaped like decagon. It dissolved the chassis and caused the ships to explode. And googolgon shaped projectiles which emitted a laser that sliced through the ships. And a Pentadecon which emitted a pulse which controlled the ships to fly aimlessly till they hit one another till none were left. Since everyone who attacked was human and declared themselves a superior race the scientist sent a projectile shaped like a rhombicosidodecahedron. It emitted a signal which made breathing difficult. People walked out with ear protection as they fell to the floor gasping for air.

Mera the head of the facility called for assistance from other planets as they announced the invasion. A lot of people stepped forward and the star bridges began open as ships of every kind came pouring in. Some are here to defend others are here to attack. Floofs had sent people to protect the locals. I mentioned we were being attacked by SEOs. Sas asked politely, "What does that mean?" I shrugged, "Sectors Enforcing Oppression" Mera felt my safety was a priority so she moved me to the space port as they were sure more of these were on the way. I was taken to an allied ship as per his request. They escorted me into a graphite coloured crescent shaped ship. The outside had symbols carved on it going from one side to the other. A series of half of quarter circles facing different directions with a small but sharp accompanying one side. Perhaps it was a prayer for the safety of the crew. A Prussian skinned Heran kindly took me to his secret compartment. His golden hair rippled as he walked towards the elevator. His violet eyes seem to be steady and ready for action. I was taken to the lower levels where he was going to place me in a pit. He would press several buttons. He explained how I will be encased in troglodytes. A mineral which is used by medics to induce hibernation. The first step was sterilisation. Then comes the cooling process. Afterwards comes the part where I am encased in Troglodyte. I heard the sirens as Tishian ships came to the Trojians aid. The entire time I imagined the enemies' ship exploding. Their ships are going out of control. The hull on fire. I imagined it so bad that Sas came to take me upstairs to show me what was going on. The enemy was defeated and the authorities had sent people to inspect the place and arrest the crook. I was placed in the hyperbaric chamber again. The glass box filled with gas as I focused on accepting the gas to ensure a peaceful hibernation. I kept my eyes closed as the sweet but strong smell slowly pulled me into the land of slumber.
