The others protested as it was against their fancy lifestyle. The third chose neutrality. The Senate flared up with everyone yelling at one another. One accused the other side of prolonging the suffering of innocent people. The other side accused the reformers as those who were stunting progress. The neutral party wanted more information before they did anything. After a few hours the bill was vetoed. The public was calling to enforce the forty first contingency. This will overrule the ability to veto. The Kaiser was staring helplessly as he couldn't do anything. It was as though his presence was symbolic. Nothing more than a show piece. So I decided to board Vigilance. I got permission to take off and I flew to Hae where the supporters of justice were. They were busy so I was told to come on a different day. This was disheartening so I went for a walk. I was trying to figure out my next move and I saw a poster of the previous kaiser and his bodyguard Nox. The solution hit me as hard as a breacher's tool. I ran back to my ship and went up to the stratosphere before I used the communications.
I was worried that something horrible had happened but that evaporated when I saw Mira. I explained that I was hoping to see Sas. She came asking me if I was ok. I explained my idea. I wanted to use this war to give the Kaiser emergency power. We can arrest the crooked senators for bribery and extortion. They can systemically replace them with just and honest representatives. Under the emergency law he has the authority overrule the veto and enforce the end of injustice. So democracy won't be just a mask to enforce injustice. We can have the justice we all want and deserve. She was amazed so a few minutes later she told me I had the ability to change my looks. I had to practice my gift. So I still use my own biometric to access my account in case of emergency. After a few days of practice I was officially reintroduced as senator Zid Ninggina. Which means true justice. The voting system is computerized. I gave the signal and a senator on the reformation team placed a vote of no confidence on the present Kaiser. A vote for a new one was placed and the technopaths went to work. Every single one voted for me. I was sworn in as the new leader of the Senate. I smiled which was the signal to grant emergency power. I was granted full authority above and beyond. The corrupt came to see me in the hopes to retain favor. I told them that I am not interested. I am tired and I was hoping to get some rest. They offered me money in the trillions. I grinned as I made sure this proposal was on record. I asked hypnotically what they were insinuating.
A bold one blurted out, "We are bribing you so you will rule in our favor." Another tried to placate the situation, "Don't think of it as a bribe. Think of it as a supplement to your income. In exchange for your blind eye we will make you remain in the office as long as you like." I asked him, "What do you want?" He grinned thinking he had won, "We are about to clear certain sectors of the galaxy to expand our business and private property. There are those who will voice their displeasure. Your job is to turn a blind eye so we can advance our civilization. In exchange we will ensure your term goes unchallenged, we will do everything to prevent any assassination. Also we would like a written document allowing us to enjoy a portion of your emergency power." I pressed a button and security walked in. I was broadcasting this moment to the entire galaxy. I ordered the guards to arrest them for bribery, treason and genocide. The senators made it clear that the courts will release them. I smiled, "The intergalactic court has been dismantled until further notice. I am the Kaiser with emergency power by authority of the full Senate so I can arrest you and detain you. I will send the notice to your respective planets to send others to take your seat." This was met with hostility. One tried to assault me so he was arrested for assassination attempt. The others did concur when he mentioned my possible murder so they were deemed guilty by association. The few days were spent removing the rotten eggs in the Senate so better can take their place. The reformation act was brought back and several planet with veto power tried to overrule it. But with the authority vested in me I implemented the forty first contingency. This was met with everyone jumping off their seats to express their opinion. It was deafening.
I ordered everyone in the room to be seated and allowed the representatives to talk about reformation. There were a few amendments made before it was passed. It included training the locals in different vocations. The construction of homes while granting them an allowance and free medical for them and their family members. The training of locals in the defense and educating their youth in technology and other essentials. The arrogant ones tried to veto claiming we were training terrorists who will ruin their peaceful society. I ignored them as I ordered the senators to cast their votes. The majority said yes to the reformation act. A mere handful voted no. Since their veto power was now nullified. The only thing they could do was watch as the table was flipped. One of the disgruntled ones boldly asked me to watch my back. I asked him nicely what he was saying. He growled, "I am going to make sure you are dead." I had arrested him immediately. He was dragged out kicking and screaming. I asked the rest if they had any bright ideas. The reformation act requires money. Unfortunately the financial aid was depleted by the Semites. I smiled, "Exactly how much do I earn as the Kaiser?" The senator answered, "Five hundred Septillion." I smiled, "How much do you need?" He shrugged, "Three Quadrillion to be precise." I smiled, "I hereby donate the amount required from my salary. You need it more than I do. This is not a bribery. This is an investment to nurture future generations."
The senators felt inspired so they donated some too. They even agreed to send aid in the form of people, food, clothes and medicine. I requested builders to construct home so the destitute can start living. They promised to send those too. I just made one further request, "I promise this is the last one. Could you possibly send a galactic fleet to protect the aid since the unjust has in the last blown up or arrested or committed heinous war crimes. This will ensure the aid workers will return home safely. This earned a standing ovation. The months that followed were used to restore power of attorney to locals regarding their resources which have been absconded by large corporations. They were angry about the eviction notice and tried to overrule it but in their attempts they exposed their corruption so their business was shut down and liquidated. The money generated was given as compensation to the indigenous. The next problem was the constant talk about certain planets standing up against genocide. To these power hungry imbeciles they were a threat. I happily asked them if they are ever going to be satisfied with what they have. The response was simple. We deserve everything because we are the chosen ones. The rest are gentile or less. Which means they deserve less than nothing. I asked them why they didn't deserve absolute zero. They started cursing in their native language. I smiled, "This Senate was created to say that everyone is equal and the basic rights were laid out. What you are proposing is against the very foundation of this institution. I am afraid I can't endorse it." They tried to call for a vote of no confidence but the majority chose me. One the representatives jokingly remarked, "I guess we 'chose' her." This convinced them to walk out. I happily clapped my hands. The others watched as they left us alone. I chirped, "Now that the knaves have been removed. Let's continue on. We have to restore this galaxy back to its former glory. What bill were we supposed to be working on now" Practically everyone was speechless but one shell shocked senator answered, "The restoration of certain galactic lanes to ensure safe and peaceful traveling. A committee to create a safe environment so children irrespective of their situation will not go missing ever again." I opened the floor for everyone to come up with a solution.
After the session I was escorted out after they made to check for any sort of treats. A few did threaten to kill me so the guards took it very seriously. The official yacht came to take me to my penthouse. The crowds outside were holding up banners congratulating me for growing a back bone and a pair of working eyes and ears. Some applauded too. I humbly bowed before the craft. It was a chrome finished eight seater hover vehicle. The front and back were re-enforced heavy armor. The outer coating was chrome but the actual metal was tungsten carbide and another alloy as well. The ride back to my apartment was unusual as more and more vehicles came as protection. I tried to dissuade but to no avail. They made sure I reached my home safely and some propulsion vehicle actually chose to create a perimeter to ensure my safety. Sas was laughing at my boldness. Mira gave me a standing ovation as did the others. I mentioned the obstacles I will be facing. One of them is the assassination attempts on my life. Sas brushed it off saying that my guards were being replaced with hardcore warriors who would lay down their lives to protect me. I expressed my concerns about the ongoing war. Sas smiled, "The war will end and the unjust will be restrained, detained and tried for their crimes against peaceful societies throughout the galaxy." I explained, "Tomorrow I am going to start reforming the courts. I need help finding out if they live in the pockets of certain galactic officials." Mira casually mentioned a friend in the financial district who might be able to help. I promised him anonymity in exchange for his help.
The next day the cruel senators protested inside the Senate. They didn't like the bill I proposed to check the financial records of the presiding judges to ensure their legitimacy. Their argument was that this was a direct violation of their privacy and an unjust attempt to evict fair and experienced ones with ones with narrow minded thugs. I smiled, "Are you done behaving like children whose favorite toy was snatched away. " I waved at the guards to escort them out so we could proceed. The senators stared before one asked me where I had been all these years. I shrugged, "That makes two of us. Can we please proceed. This noble body of respectable representatives weren't sent to stare at me all day. We are to restore peace, freedom and justice to this democracy." The Floof sat down and everyone took turns trying to figure a one size fits all solution. When it was time to vote someone started banging on the doors. It was as though they were going to break the door unfortunately for the door is thick and durable. So the only thing they achieved was a broken arm. We voted and congratulated each other before ending the session for the day. I wished everyone a great day before I went to my office. The looks on the opposition's face was something else. They wept like children and talked about how they were finally getting the justice they had strived for only to have me rob them in one swift stroke.
