Synopsis
Estaria, the Goddess of creation and eradication. The daughter of the God of destruction and the Goddess of life. Her father has been dead ever since she was born, and her mother disappeared without leaving a trace. In desperate times, as she grew old, she decided to bring her father back to life. But she had no idea where her father was. So, with nothing else to use, she thought of just recreating him through reincarnation. But the reincarnation process needed a woman whose body was strong enough to host the reincarnated vessel. With no options left, she crafted smaller deities using her own fresh and blood. Many of them failed. But one whom she named Nanako succeeded bearing a child she then named Hajime. Yet Hajime wasn't exactly what she expected. Because he possessed dual souls from two different people who died simultaneously in another world. But she was unaware of them due to one of the souls having fragments of his memories from when he was still alive in his past life. The other soul had completely forgotten everything, but bit by bit as the individual called Hajime journeys this new world, the memories of the other soul would start to retain giving him split personalities.

Chapter 1 - Death

A life so normal that nothing can be said about it.

It was a day so peaceful that Yuuki and his friend decided to do karaoke after school had ended. They invited some of the girls in their class so that they could go together.

But something just felt off with him. He felt like someone or something was watching him from afar. And without even bothering to find out what it was, he couldn't wait to do karaoke, especially when girls were involved.

As he was leaving the classroom to use the bathroom, a few moments later, a girl named Miyoko followed him. The other girls in the school were surprised by this and began questioning each other.

"What's up with her?" a girl named Miko asked."Didn't you know that Miyoko has a crush on Yuuki?" one of the girls replied."Why didn't any of you bother to tell me about it?" Miko asked, her tone furious.

"Chill, gal, everyone knows that you're the only one for Yuuki," another one of Miko's friends said condescendingly. "Even if Miyoko tries to seduce Yuuki, we all know he wouldn't agree to hang out with that slut."

Meanwhile, Miyoko rushed down the school hallway, trying to catch up to Yuuki. "Hey, wait up!" she called out, hoping to catch his attention.

It was hard enough for her to force her voice out, to make Yuuki notice her. "Y-Yuuki!" she called out before he was about to enter the bathroom door.

"Hmmm," Yuuki answered while turning around to see who was calling him. "Oh, it's you. Your name is Miyoko, right?"

Miyoko's face flushed, and her voice trembled. "Uh, ye-yes," she replied to Yuuki's question while playing with her fingers.

"So, did you need something?" Yuuki asked curiously.

"Would you allow me to come with you to the karaoke bar?" Miyoko nervously requested.

A cold breeze swept through the school grounds, and an unsettling silence fell, only to be disturbed by the sound of falling water droplets from the bathroom.

Wait, how did this girl know that we were going to karaoke? Yuuki wondered.

His curiosity piqued, he tried to remember if maybe there was someone else he had told, aside from his friends, that they were going to karaoke after school — and that person had told Miyoko about it.

"So, how did you know that I was going to karaoke today?" Yuuki asked.

"It's just that I overheard you talking to Miko about it," Miyoko answered softly.

Wait, come to think of it, this girl sits next to Miko in class… but why not ask the others if she wants to tag along? Yuuki wondered.

"So, can I come with you?" Miyoko asked, her voice carrying a hint of hope.

"Ah, let me think about it for a second," Yuuki responded."Okay," Miyoko said, her face brightening with a fragile sense of hope as she moved her hands slowly from side to side.

Hmmm, if I say no, this girl looks like the type who would do anything to get what she wants. So if I agree to let her come with us, that'll probably be for the best. But what's up with that look on her face? Why's she acting so shy? And why's her face so flushed right now? Does she have a fever or something?

Yuuki had a lot of questions about Miyoko, but he didn't bother asking her. Instead, he just answered her request.

"Yeah, I think you can come with us."

He then slowly pulled one of his hands out of his pocket.

"Thank you very much for this opportunity. I won't let you down, Yuuki," Miyoko said, bowing her head.

"Okay, okay, okay, just stop bowing. It's kinda embarrassing to watch. Please, raise your head, Kay," Yuuki said, panicking slightly, afraid someone might pass by and see her. He was caught off guard by Miyoko's reaction.

Miyoko stopped bowing, but her face remained flushed.

"Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fever or something?" he asked, raising his hand to check her forehead.

Miyoko's heart rate increased, and her face flushed even brighter than before.

"Are you sure you're feeling okay?" Yuuki asked, concerned for Miyoko's well-being.

"I-I-I'm fine. Thank you for asking. Anyway… see ya," she replied, taking two steps back before running away.

What a strange girl. For a moment there, she kinda reminded me of Mio.

Mio was one of Yuuki's childhood friends, but she had moved away with her mother after her father passed away. She left without saying goodbye, too heartbroken to face her friends.

Meanwhile, Miko worried because of what her friends had told her about Miyoko's feelings toward Yuuki.

She started growing impatient and decided to follow Yuuki to see what was taking him so long to return. On her way out of the classroom, she bumped into Miyoko, who was in a more joyful mood than before she had left moments ago.

"Sorry," Miyoko said, not even noticing that she had bumped into Miko. Miko didn't say anything, but she was curious about the sudden change in Miyoko's mood.

What happened? Miko wondered, looking at Miyoko with curiosity.

A few minutes later, Yuuki returned to the classroom, but as he entered, the school bell rang, signaling that the day had ended.

"Dude, you sure took your time in the bathroom," Souta, Yuuki's friend, teased, moving away from his desk.

"What're you talking about?" Yuuki replied.

"You know what I mean," Souta whispered.

Yuuki didn't know what Souta was up to, so he decided to just play along.

"So, how did it go with her?" Souta whispered to Yuuki.

"With who?" Yuuki whispered back, cautious of whatever Souta was planning.

"You know… Miyoko," Souta said softly.

"Oh, you're talking about her," Yuuki replied.

"Ahuh, ahuh. Who else did you think I was talking about?" Souta whispered, a mischievous grin on his face.

"So, how did it go?" Souta asked.

"Dude, it's nothing. The girl just wanted to ask if she could come along with us. So you can stop with the whispering," Yuuki said.

"Oh. So did you answer her?" Souta asked, feeling disappointed that Yuuki might have declined Miyoko's request to tag along.

"I agreed that she could come with us and—" Before Yuuki could finish his sentence, Miko rushed out of the classroom, furious.

"Miko!" one of her friends called out.

So he agreed that she could come along with us, huh? Sis, this is your chance to tell Yuuki how you really feel about him, Souta wondered.

Meanwhile, Miko rushed onto the school rooftop to let out her anger and forget about everything that had happened. It was already hard enough for her to learn that Miyoko had feelings for Yuuki, and now the same Miyoko was coming with them.

"Damn that bitch! What is she planning? Who does she think she is? Ahhh!" Miko shouted furiously, hitting a tank used as a backup water storage on the school rooftop.

She took out her phone that had a sticker of an apple bitten on both sides and called her father, demanding that he do something about Miyoko as soon as possible, and that he also deal with anyone else who might try to help her or get in her way.

While Miko was talking on the phone with her father, the others were ready to depart for the karaoke bar. They waited for Miko to return, but she was taking too long, so they sent one of her friends to pick her up and get on their way.

As Miko was talking on her phone, she noticed footsteps heading toward the rooftop. She quickly finished her call with her father, sat down instantly, and acted like nothing was happening.

"Miko!" one of her friends, sent to pick her up, called out as she opened the rooftop door. She found Miko sitting on some old pipes near the tank. "There you are. We've been worried sick about you. Is everything alright?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.

"I'm fine. I just wanted some fresh air," Miko replied, acting as if everything were normal. "Anyway, what do you want?" she added.

"Oh, I almost forgot. We're ready to go to the karaoke bar, so Yuuki told me to pick you up. So, are you coming with us, or have you changed your mind?" she asked.

Miko replied, "Of course I'm going. Why would you think I wasn't? Anyway, let's just be on our way."

Meanwhile, Miko's father stood in his office near a window, observing what was happening outside.

He called one of his hitmen and ordered him to get rid of Miyoko. "Target has short black hair and a white hairpin shaped like a diving dolphin," he said.

He pulled up Miyoko's image on his laptop and fed it to the hitman.

"You have thirty seconds to memorize her face. No mistakes—or you're fired," Miko's father added sharply.

The hitman nodded. "Understood."

Once he finished studying her face, he prepared to leave. Before he did, Miko's father gave him additional orders: get rid of anyone who might help her, and here's where to find her.

As the hitman left the office, Miko's father muttered to himself, "I never thought the day would come when my own daughter would beg me to do something for her."

As Yuuki and the others were on their way to the karaoke bar, Miko and her two friends walked behind Miyoko to see what she was up to.

Meanwhile, Yuuki and Souta walked in front of Miyoko, talking about what they would do once they reached the karaoke bar.

"Ah, I forgot that I don't know how to sing. What should I do when we reach the room?" Yuuki asked nervously.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure Miyoko doesn't know how to sing either," Souta said, signaling Miyoko to join the conversation and start moving closer to Yuuki.

"How would you know that?" Yuuki asked.

"Come on, man, are you that blind? Anyone can see that the poor girl doesn't know how to sing. And if I'm pulling a fast one on you, you can just ask her yourself," Souta said, opening the way so that Miyoko could pass and stand next to Yuuki.

"H-he's right about me not knowing how to sing," Miyoko said, walking next to Yuuki and trying to make friendly conversation.

"Oh, I didn't know that," Yuuki said, trying to make eye contact with her. Miyoko also tried to meet his gaze, but the moment their eyes met, she looked away and started blushing.

As Yuuki and Miyoko talked in front of Miko and the others, Miko grew furious. She almost pulled a gun from her bag (a gun that her father had given her for self-defense) to shoot Miyoko. Her friends noticed her anger and tried to calm her down.

Souta, who was walking behind Miyoko and Yuuki, didn't notice that something was happening behind him.

Meanwhile, the hitman assigned to take care of Miyoko stood on top of a nearby tall building, preparing to take the shot with his sniper. Suddenly, he noticed Miko's fury and decided to finish the job quickly before things got out of hand.

As Miyoko was making her move on Yuuki, the hitman pulled the trigger and took the shot, which pierced through Miyoko's head.

Everyone froze in shock, including the people who were at that moment present at the scene, unable to comprehend what had just happened. Except for Miko, who felt a sense of relief that the job was finally done.

"Mio!" Souta called out Miyoko's name, using the old name that her father had changed to Miyoko ever since the first day they met ten years ago, ten years prior.

Yuuki, without thinking about it, immediately tried to assist Miyoko by telling the others to call for an ambulance as quickly as possible. But it was a sight so terrifying that nobody even dared to move an inch, frozen in complete shock.

Yuuki tried using his own phone to call for an ambulance, since no one else was going to do it. But unfortunately, his phone was dead at that moment, leaving him helpless

The hitman pulled the trigger again, this time aiming to get rid of Yuuki, who was trying to help Miyoko.

As Yuuki turned around to tell Souta to snap out of it and call for help, a bullet struck him directly on the forehead.

This shocked Miko beyond measure. She didn't know what to do or what to say; her mind went completely blank, frozen in fear and disbelief.

Seconds later, she pulled out the gun she had been hiding in her bag and pointed it at her own throat.

One of her friends noticed Miko pointing the gun at herself. She looked as if she was ready to pull the trigger.

"Don't!" her friend cried out desperately—but it was too late, because Miko had already pulled the trigger and ended her own life.

Later that day, the news reported the arrest of Mr. Chiba, Miko's father, for allowing his daughter to possess a dangerous weapon and for the murders of Mizuhara Miyoko and Shoya Yuuki.
