Chapter 27 - 26- What would you advise me to do, Auntie?

Yuki's eyes widened, her mouth hanging open.

Ryosuke scratched his head, hesitating, searching for the right words. Part of him burned with the desire to share what he knew, while another part wondered if it was really wise to reveal so much.

But just before he could speak, Yuki calmly raised her hand, cutting him off.

"Ryosuke," she murmured softly, almost solemnly. "Remember what I'm about to tell you: I will never again be surprised by anything that comes from you."

He looked at her.

"Well, here goes… Ever since I awakened to jujutsu a month ago, I've felt something… something strange, but deeply connected to me. It's like an ability, an instinct, a power etched into my very being. Listening to you now, I think I understand—it must be… my innate CT."

Yuki watched him intently.

"My technique…" Ryosuke continued. "I call it Overhaul. It's an ability that lets me alter, transform, and infuse my cursed energy into an entity… into its body, its soul, and even its mind."

Silence fell over the clearing, heavy and almost tangible.

Once again, Yuki stood frozen, mouth agape, her incredulous gaze fixed on him.

A faint smirk curled at Ryosuke's lips.

"Auntie, remember—you promised never to be surprised again, didn't you?"

Yuki crossed her arms, adopting a mock-stern expression to hide her unease. She studied him for a long moment.

"Honestly, Ryosuke, how do you expect me not to be surprised?!" She shrugged, then pointed an accusing finger at him, a mix of irritation and amusement in her voice. "You're a total… a total bug! Like… like that guy!"

Ryosuke hid a satisfied smile, feigning curiosity.

"That guy?" he asked innocently, though deep down, he already knew what she meant.

Yuki sighed, her gaze drifting toward the trees around them, suddenly distant.

"In the world of Jujutsu," she began, her voice lower, almost solemn, "sorcerers are ranked according to their power. But there is one man—a sorcerer who, for several decades now, has stood alone at the very top. A being feared by all, and challenged by few."

She paused.

"This man… is unbearably narcissistic, and everyone knows it," she continued with a touch of irritation. "But even I have to admit that he is, indeed, the strongest. That's a truth no one can deny."

Ryosuke could feel his blood boiling as she spoke. The thrill of competition—the urge to measure himself against this man—burned inside him.

"How would my Overhaul fare against his Infinity and his Domain?"

He took a deep breath, forcing his mind to remain calm, eyes fixed on Yuki.

His aunt caught the fire in his gaze and gave a faint smile.

She leaned forward slightly.

"You know, Ryosuke," she said slowly, "when I look at you, I can't help but think that maybe… yes, maybe you could be a challenger to that unbearable narcissist."

Ryosuke's eyes widened, caught off guard.

Him? A challenger to the strongest sorcerer of them all?

His aunt didn't know, but he was well aware of the man she meant.

Satoru Gojo. The strongest sorcerer.

(A/N: Far behind Sukuna, of course.)

It was both exhilarating and utterly insane. This was his aunt saying it—a woman who knew Satoru firsthand. So even though he knew she loved to tease him, her words carried enormous weight here.

"But… Auntie…" he stammered, struggling for words. "You… you really think that?"

Yuki gave a small shrug, her tone casual but her eyes mischievous. "Oh, don't get too excited. It's only my opinion, after all—nothing more." Then she fixed him with a piercing look. "But tell me… you've already tested your 'Overhaul,' haven't you?"

Silence. Ryosuke, a bit embarrassed by the question, ran a hand through his hair, hesitating.

"Uh… well… yeah, I've tried it on a few things. Plants, inanimate matter, curses… and…"

"And?" Yuki tilted her head, clearly intrigued.

Ryosuke flushed slightly, lowering his gaze.

"…A cat."

He said it in a slightly shameful tone.

A mocking smile immediately spread across Yuki's face. She narrowed her eyes and, without warning, began coiling Garuda around her hand into a compact form. She murmured something, but Ryosuke still caught the words. He blanched.

"One billion tons."

Ryosuke instinctively stepped back, hands raised defensively, his eyes wide with fear. "Auntie, are you serious?! A billion tons—do you realize what you're saying?! Are you trying to kill me? And… can you even infuse something with that much mass?!"

Yuki gave him a sly smile. "Why not? You'll just have to dodge… or it'll be the perfect chance to test your 'Overhaul.'"

She shrugged, feigning indifference, then added teasingly, "And if that's not enough to motivate you, think of the poor cat."

Ryosuke raised his hands in surrender.

"Hey, Auntie, the cat's fine! In fact, you've already met him… remember?"

Yuki froze for a moment, processing his words. Her eyes widened slightly, and she slowly lowered Garuda. She stepped closer to Ryosuke, visibly intrigued, and stared at him intently.

"Wait… you mean that cat with Sayuri—the one that wouldn't stop staring at me the other day?" she asked, almost incredulously.

Ryosuke nodded. "Yes, exactly! He's not an ordinary cat anymore. I managed to alter his soul… and gave him some of my cursed energy."

Yuki frowned.

"You're telling me that cat… can use cursed energy?" Her voice held a mix of disbelief and bafflement.

Ryosuke blushed slightly, but answered, a little embarrassed, "Yeah… well, it's still basic. He can only handle small amounts for now. I still need to work on optimizing the process."

Yuki stayed silent for a moment, lost in thought, before slowly lifting her head, a grave look in her eyes.

"Ryosuke… tell me, do you plan to become an official jujutsu sorcerer?"

The question caught him off guard, his mouth opening without a ready answer.

"Well… I'm not really sure," he murmured at last, uncertain. "I mean… it's possible to stay anonymous, right? Some sorcerers choose to remain in the shadows, after all."

She nodded in acknowledgment, though her eyes stayed serious and pensive. "Yes, you could remain anonymous… But know that you'd have very few resources. And support is almost nonexistent for those outside the official system—unless you belong to a major jujutsu clan. And believe me, even in anonymity, the dangers are very real… and often unpredictable."

"What would you advise me to do, Auntie?"
