Finally, they reached the top of the steps. In front of them stood an imposing traditional wooden gate, and leaning casually against the wall was a woman.

She wore a dark purple baseball cap, white overalls over a long-sleeved black shirt, and simple dark shoes. Her black hair, with faint violet highlights, tumbled down her back, a few strands tied behind her head. A thin scar crossed the right side of her face just above the bridge of her nose, adding a touch of mystery to her otherwise warm gaze.

When she spotted the visitors, she flashed a cheerful smile.

"Well, it's been a while, Ms. Tsukumo!" she exclaimed.

Yuki waved with a playful smirk.

"Still the same as ever, Utahime. This is my nephew, Ryosuke."

Ryosuke bowed politely. "A pleasure, ma'am."

The woman winked with a conspiratorial smile.

"Ah, Ryosuke! Your aunt's told me plenty about you."

Feeling a bit awkward, Ryosuke scratched the back of his head. He could already guess his aunt had probably shared more than a few embarrassing stories. Before he could respond, though, Yuki waved goodbye, already making her exit. Utahime shot her a surprised look.

"What, you're leaving already? It's so rare to see you here!"

But Yuki acted as if she hadn't heard. She even quickened her pace, not looking back. Ryosuke chuckled to himself as he watched her walk off—until a loud crash made him flinch. A figure had fallen straight from the sky, landing squarely in front of Yuki.

She stopped dead, cursing under her breath.

"What kind of manners are those!" she growled.

The figure rose slowly, his back perfectly straight, stepping out of the crater he had just created as though nothing had happened.

It was a massive young man, broad-shouldered and powerfully built. He wore a dark jujutsu uniform that emphasized his sturdy muscles, arms crossed in a way that only made him look more imposing. His short, thick hair was carefully trimmed, and a wide, dazzling grin lit up his rugged face. He looked at Yuki with gleaming eyes, voice booming as he said:

"Well! Planning to leave without greeting your dear disciple?"

Yuki sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Well, if it isn't my little Aoi… I thought you had better things to do than scare visitors by dropping out of the sky."

Todo burst into laughter, resting one hand on his hip. He glanced at Ryosuke, raising an eyebrow.

"So this is the famous prodigy nephew?"

Ryosuke, who had been quietly watching, gave a polite bow.

"Pleased to meet you, Senpai."

Todo grinned and winked.

"Call me Aoi. We share the same mentor."

Ryosuke nodded, a faint smirk on his lips.

Aoi Todo. A major figure in the manga. First just a pseudo-antagonist, then later an elite ally.

Seeing him in real life gave Ryosuke the distinct impression he wouldn't be getting any quiet days here.

Amused by their exchange, Yuki patted her nephew on the shoulder before addressing Todo.

"Good timing, Aoi. Take good care of him for me. I'm entrusting him to you—but be warned, he may very well end up your senior."

Todo let out another booming laugh.

"Perfect! A disciple with guts, just what I need!" He turned to Ryosuke with sudden solemnity. "Tell me, Ryosuke—what kind of women do you like?"

Not surprised in the slightest, Ryosuke sighed and cast a glance at his aunt, who was barely holding back laughter.

"Broken girls are the best."

Aoi froze, eyes wide, mouth hanging open. It wasn't every day he met someone who could say, without hesitation, that "broken girls are the best." Normally, he was the one throwing people off with bizarre questions, but this time, he was the one left speechless.

Then suddenly, he erupted in roaring laughter that echoed across the school gates.

Next to him, Utahime was stunned, staring at Ryosuke with wide eyes before turning to Yuki, a mix of amusement and disbelief on her face.

"Well, Ms. Tsukumo… your nephew really does have… peculiar taste!"

Yuki burst into laughter.

"Oh, don't worry, Utahime—he's the real deal, my nephew! A weirdo, but a genius weirdo!" She clutched her stomach, reveling in Utahime's horrified expression and Aoi's even louder laughter.

At last, catching his breath, Aoi nodded in approval, his grin stretching from ear to ear.

"I must say, I expected no less from my master's nephew. Such boldness is rare!" Then, with a mischievous look, he turned to Utahime. "Mind if I give him a little tour of the school? Show him what he's in for?"

Still reeling from the bizarre exchange, Utahime gave a reluctant nod.

"The principal will see him tomorrow anyway. With Ms. Tsukumo's reputation, it'll probably be just a formality… might as well let him get familiar with the place." She offered Ryosuke a faint smile. "Your aunt wasn't exaggerating about you. You're… definitely something special."

Delighted, Aoi clapped his hands on Ryosuke's shoulders. With a friendly pat, he pulled him along toward the school grounds. Ryosuke, entertained by the explosive welcome, followed without resistance. Despite himself, he was smiling, almost eager to see what awaited him here.

Utahime and Yuki watched them disappear, and Utahime let out a long sigh, shaking her head. She shot Yuki a sideways glance, who met her with a mischievous spark in her eye.

"Honestly, ma'am, I expected Todo to challenge him to a fight the instant he laid eyes on him. He always feels the need to prove himself when he senses a potential rival. But this time… he held back. That's not like him."

Yuki only shrugged with a satisfied smile, pride glinting in her eyes.

"You underestimate him, Utahime. Aoi isn't just a brute looking for a fight. He's a diligent disciple, and he knows how to listen to his master. I always told him never to attack someone stronger than him without thinking first. He listens more than people give him credit for."

Utahime nodded, her expression softening.

"Well, I can't argue with that. Todo may be quite the handful, but maybe he's found in Ryosuke a… worthy rival. Who knows? With that kind of duo, this school might just shine again."

The two women exchanged a knowing smile.
