Lee Ji seo POV (Point Of View)
I looked at my reflection in the mirror, checking my outfit. I was wearing a lilac, long-sleeved, asymmetrical top with a pair of light blue jeans and platforms. I took out my braids last night so I could wear my hair in its natural afro style today.
I styled my afro with cute clips and applied light makeup, and wore my glasses, then headed downstairs. My mum and dad were home today, but I know they would still head out.
"Good morning," I said as I walked into the kitchen. "You look so cute today," My mum yelled from the sitting room.
"Thank you," I yelled back. "Are you going somewhere?" My dad asked. "Of course, she is going somewhere. If she weren't, then she wouldn't have dolled up." My mum responded to my dad's question.
I chuckled at her response and walked out of the kitchen. "I'm going to the museum today. I suck at Korean History, so hopefully my visit to the National History Museum is going to help me out," I said.
"Are you going with Ha-ri?" My mum asked, her eyes not leaving the TV screen. "Yeah, along with Taemin and other kids from school."
"That Taemin guy again." My dad huffed. My mum rolled her eyes, "Here he goes again." "What?" My dad whined.
My mum ignored him, then looked my way with a smile, "The company has a high increase in sales because of you, Ji seo."
My eyes widened in shock, "Really?" My mum nodded her head, "So in your honour, the company is holding a gala after your mid-tests."
"Wow, that's amazing. What's the gala for anyway?" I asked. "To officially welcome you and Taemin as our company brand models." My mum explained.
"Oh... So we aren't going to sign a contract?" I asked with a raised brow. I mean, if we are going to be models for Ha-ri Mum's clothing brand and probably Ha-ri's streetwear brand, then we should sign a contract.
"There's a contract, but we were planning to ask you guys to sign it after your mid-terms before the gala." My mum explained. I nodded, fully understanding their reasons.
My phone rang with a call from Ha-ri, "Hey," I said, picking up the call. "I'm outside," Ha-ri responded.
"Okay, I'm coming," I said, before hanging up. "That's Ha-ri. Bye guys, have fun on your day off." I yelled before leaving the house.
I ran to Ha-ri's car, "Good morning." I greeted Mr. Park before turning to Ha-ri and Dae. "Hey, how are you guys doing?"
"Great," Dae replied. "We would be heading to Min-ho's house. You told him that we were coming along with you, right?" Ha-ri asked.
"Yeah, I did." I nodded, recalling my phone conversation with him last night, telling him that Ha-ri and Dae are coming along.
"I didn't tell him that Taemin is coming along, though..." I trailed off. "Maybe Taemin was just bluffing," Ha-ri said.
"Yeah, you're probably right," I said, nodding my head. Mr. Park drove us to Min-ho's house, and we got out of the car.
"You should enjoy your weekend. We will take a cab back home," Ha-ri said to Mr. Park. "Or Min-ho can take us home," I quickly added.
Mr. Park nodded his head in agreement, "You kids should have fun. If you want me to come get you, please let me know," He said, before driving off.
Remembering my last visit to his house, I couldn't help but cringe from the memory. 'Why did I do that. So embarrassing.' I grumbled inwardly.
Ha-ri ran up to his door and rang his doorbell. A familiar-looking man opened the door, and he wore a smile when he saw us, but his smile widened when he saw me.
"Min-ho, your friends are here," Min Hyun yelled. He led us into the house, and the servants in the house bowed to us in respect, which we returned. They stared at me with curiosity, probably wondering who I am.
Min-ho came down the staircase and walked to us. "Should we get going?" Min-ho said, putting his hands in his pockets.
Min Hyun shook the car keys in Min-ho's face, "I'm driving you guys there, remember?" He said with a raised brow.
Min-ho rolled his eyes. "It's the weekend, go have fun with your friends or something," Min-ho grumbled.
"For someone who was begging Dad to bring me back because he misses me, you are sure pushing me away. Is it because of..." He trailed off, looking at me. I raised a brow in confusion.
"Fine, you can come along with us." Min-ho huffed. Min Hyun chuckled, "Okay, let's go," He said, twirling the keys in his hands. We got to his car and I sat in the back seat with Ha-ri and Dae.
I quickly remembered something and took out my phone to send a message to Taemin.
Me:
Hey.
Two minutes later, he responded.
Chuck:
Yeah, what's up?
Me:
We're on our way to the museum. Would we meet you there?
Taemin:
Wait. Really?! I'm still in bed.
I rolled my eyes and showed my phone to Ha-ri and Dae, and we chuckled. "He forgot. Why am I not surprised?" Ha-ri said, shaking her head in amusement.
"Who forgot?" Min Hyun said so suddenly. "Were you eavesdropping on us?" Ha-ri asked, her brows furrowing.
"Well, you guys weren't whispering." Min Hyun defended. "Taemin. He is coming along with us to the museum, but he overslept," I said, responding to his earlier question.
"Oh? That's nice." Min Hyun nodded. My phone vibrated with a text message, probably from Taemin.
Chuck:
I will be right there. I will message you when I get there.
I sighed and sent him 'Okay' with a smile on my face. I had this feeling that someone was staring at me, and I lifted my head and saw Min Hyun staring at me through the rearview mirror.
His lips lifted in a smile, and he glanced at Min-ho, who was staring out of the window, watching cars and buildings pass by.
'What's going on?' I thought inwardly.
