Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Vivian was lucky enough to have occupied the last seat in the bus. After a few minutes of waiting for more passengers, the bus started off and drove down the main street, she relaxed back into the seat, grabbed a novel from her bag and started reading.

"uhm excuse me, would anybody in this bus be willing to give up a seat for this old lady?" a certain girl, who also had nowhere to sit suggested, requesting for someone to give up his or her seat for an elderly woman who had no where to sit and was finding it hard to stand up right.

The girls' name was Lola, beautiful enough to keep any man's mind fully occupied.  Flawless body, great influence, popularly known by almost everyone and outstanding social status. With her long, shining, dark hair, a touch of makeup and direct, unruffled demeanor, Lola proclaimed her elevated university status without uttering a single word, and not to mention her perfectly shaped body which was barely disguised in her clothes.

Lola turned and asked Costa Nucho to give up his seat, since he was occupying a priority seat.

"My, my, how absurd of you Lola. I understand that this is priority seat honey, but there is no law forcing me to give it up. You think I have to stand up, just because am young... What a bunch of nonsense." scorned Nucho in a voice that trilled huskly.

" Sure am younger than her but standing requires more energy than sitting. Tell me why must I sacrifice my help over this lady's sake? For a matter of fact, you should be greatful and lucky that a distinguished and most important valuable gentleman like myself is in your presence in this public bus, which will definitely never gonna happen again. In fact I have zero interest in helping her and anyway there are plenty of other jokes on this bus who could give up their seats, so ask someone else to be a hero." Nucho said and continued with what he was doing.

Lola looked disappointed and sad but before she could lose hope, a man's voice at the back seats said,

"Over here Lola, I don't mind standing, she can come sit here."

It was Tanga, but his friends used to call him by his English middle name Ken. He was a big, handsome, powerfully-built man, with a tanned, good-looking face, a perfectly open and consistent character, smart and sophisticated. Kind and generous.

Presently he moved over and allowed the old lady to sit and he stood on the other side. He found himself staring at Vivian for quite some time, then directed his attention somewhere else.

'Well this is it, this is the university I've been sent to. I hate it already.' Vivian thought to her self as she stood at the big entrance gate of the University.

As she entered through the gates, into the large spread premises she saw Ken walking in front of her.

"Hey you!" she called out to him.

Kenny stood and turned around.

"I noticed you staring at me in the bus, why was that?" she asked him disdainfully.

"Oh, am sorry,  uhm... I was just curious cause  you didn't wanna give up your seat either for that old lady. I was wondering that maybe just like Nucho you also took zero interest in helping the old lady." Kenny said curtly.

"Am nothing like that guy, in my case I stayed silent and seated as a matter of principal." Vivian said scornfully

'oh really, that makes her worse than Nucho.'  Ken thought to himself.

"If that's all, goodbye." she said despisingly and wondered off to the administration to inquire about her class
