My name is Victor Knight...and I'm twenty-nine years old. I worked my entire life for a chance to explore the stars, but on the first successful launch, something went wrong.
Pov. Victor
"Take off in T-minus 30 seconds" I was strapped in next to my comrades and watched as the countdown ticked down, as it got to eighteen seconds left a shudder was felt through the rocket. The static of the radio is heard before the voice of Base is heard 'Should just be slight tremors no danger'. The words spoken must have calmed my comrades because they visibly relax and a Sigh is heard. As time passes I have a pit-like feeling in my stomach as the countdown starts the feeling feels continuously grows stronger.
"you guys ready? Nothing feels off for you?" I asked my question getting weird faces from the crew "What are you going on about just focus on the launch it is starting" the crew leader states in a rough voice.
The other astronauts in the crew ready themselves as the countdown begins.
'10'
'9'
'8' The feeling I have begins to hurt I begin to think something is off
'7'
'6' I hear a beeping as the crew starts to panic
'5' The men are screaming and one of them catches flame his screams are haunting the last thing I remember is a loud Radio static noise then an explosion ending my life.
3rd person Pov.
In a black space, a flame-like body is seen as small if compared to the others in the vicinity. The only difference that is seen in this particular flame is a gold orb in the center of the chest of the body.
"Ah a pure desire"
The voice heard is serene yet monotone. The voice seems bored as if he has seen it before. "You have a PURE desire Therefore I shall grant you a wish, though be quick about it" The voice seemed annoyed like he knew what the flame would wish for.

I couldn't understand what was going on I was just In the rocket's cockpit when...then as if a puzzle has been solved it click I had died in an explosion. That doesn't make sense I had checked the fuel and safety measures multiple times.
" hurry up now!" The now booming and treating annoyed Voice spoke. I would say it shouted but its tone was clearly just slightly raised.
Not knowing what would happen if I didn't answer as quickly as The voice liked I shouted what my long-time dream has always been. " I wish for the knowledge to explore as I like!" I shouted it so quickly that I seemed to have mixed my words i didn't mean to say that I just wanted to explore space.
"What?" The voice seemed surprised as if he didn't foresee what was said. "You wish for knowledge to explore as you please... That is a first, you didn't wish for something simple". Feeling that I have slighted the Voice I tried to correct myself "B-b-but I didn't" but was interrupted by The Voice "NO you wish for knowledge, therefore, you shall have KNOWLEDGE". I got that pit in my stomach once more the voice seemed to disappear replaced by a planet-sized hand it seemed to glow like the sun and its warmth, unlike anything I had felt before.
"WAIT I DIDN"T MEAN WHAT I SAID IT WAS A MISTAKE" I screamed hoping to be heard and the hand seemed to shimmer with a grey, blue, black, brown, and white light breaking apart into particles that twist and turn in an ever moving path that seemed to move toward me. As it reached me it coalesced into a liquid form covering my body. Freaking out and trying to desperately escape I tear at the liquid and it slips through my fingers, as I feel my energy slip away as it crawled up my legs swallowing them. It inched closer to my chest and at that moment pain from my feet was unlike any I had felt before. After covering my chest completely it climbed down my arms and up my neck, as it got to my chin it broke into eight different tendrils that were a darker gold in color. Separately the tendrils each ender a different orifice on my head. One for each nostril, two for my mouth, then my tear ducts and mouth. After they had successfully entered my body I lost all strength I had left, moments later the pain started it was the same pain that had assaulted my legs and torso. The suffering was unbearable. As time moved forward I lost stacked of how long I had been like that, unmoving and constantly in pain, as the pain lessened and darkness took hold I could only hope I had Survived.
