I was on my way home from my favorite manga store when a truck came barreling down the street, its driver seemingly passed out, straight at me who was engrossed with the latest chapter of one piece, my favorite manga.
Too preoccupied to notice Truck-kun coming straight at me, I looked up when he was only 5 feet away.
Time seemed to slow down for me as I looked at Truck-kun. My last thoughts were "Wow, what a cliche way to die. I mean an otaku, coming from a manga store, dies by a truck while reading his favorite manga. Bet I'm going to awaken to a plain of clouds and some old dude chilling drinking t-" and that's when my face makes contact with Truck-kuns.
The reason I wasn't upset that I was about to die was simply that I hated life. It was a great life compared to lots of other people but I still hated it. I always wished that I would get reincarnated into a fantasy world. But I knew it wouldn't happen so I became a shut-in, and my parents were rich so they didn't care. I decided I was gonna kill myself when One Piece ended, but my end came before One Pieces. Anyway, no one cares so let's move on.
The next thing I notice is that I'm sitting in a plain of clouds.
"HA! I KNEW IT!" I yell as I look around and jump up. I turn around and see a giant old dude with a long grey goatee chilling on a shiny white throne staring at me.
"Are you done?" Asks the old dude.
"Uh, yeah…" I reply awkwardly.
"Good, as you surmised you are dead and you are sitting in front of god, well your god" God explains.
"Wait so there's more than one god?" I ask.
"Yep" god replies while tea magically appears in his hand.
"Cliche" I whisper under my breath.
God smiles and says "Would it be cliche if I gave you a hundred wishes and made you immortal?".
"Uh no, but like don't you have a limit or the other gods will get mad if you give me too much power or something?" I ask.
"Ahahaha, no mortal we don't butt into each others business, and even giving you a million wishes wouldn't be .0000000001 percent my power. Besides one can only grant so much power with a wish. You can't just wish to be a god" god explains while laughing.
"Oh ok..." I reply as my hope is crushed.
God looks down at me and says "Don't be so sad, tell you what I'll give you 1 wish"
"Really?!" I ask excitedly 'At least he's giving me one'.
"And I'll let you choose where to be transported," God says.
"Can it be anywhere? Fiction included!?" I ask loudly.
"Uh sure but it depends. If it's two-dimensional I'll have to ask another god cause I only deal with three-dimensional lifeforms" God explains
"Ok… then I want to be reincarnated into One Piece," I tell god.
"Ok that's fine…, what about your wish?" God asks.
"I want… a system! Cliche I know but still, I wanna become super strong and rule the One Piece world as a king. A good system will help me with that greatly" I explain.
"Ok but you should be specific, wishes are picky" God warns.
"...Then I wish for a system that gives me quests that are optional no matter what and a store where I can buy anything from the One Piece world, even if it has to duplicate them," I wish.
"Done" is all god says as he snaps his fingers and I fall into complete darkness.
