Synopsis
With the basis being the Satisfy world, this story focuses on the more hidden and miscellaneous parts of the Satisfy story, such as corruption of the nobles, hidden bosses, secret classes, and more, seen through our two protagonists' eyes. There may also be more parts in the real world as well. I will try to write it as accurately as possible to the main Overgeared story line, although there may be some small differences here and there. :)

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Warrior

"Damn!" groaned the warrior class as he slid across the coarse ground.

"GYAHAHAHA!" Laughed the hobgoblin deliriously as he once again charged the warrior.

SLAM! The hobgoblin's mace and the warrior's shield clashed together, launching both fighters back. "KYAHAHA!!" laughed the Hobgoblin once again, charging.

BLAM! The mace crashed onto the ground, due to the warrior sidestepping at the last second. The Hobgoblin looked at the warrior for a second, attempting to raise its weapon. "Keheh--!"

Shlik! The sword easily cut through the monster's neck, immediately killing it.

'Damn… I think that's enough hunting for me here. I'm not gonna last much longer without potions to keep me away from death's door,' thought the warrior, and thus they began to walk towards the town gates.

Near the border where the Saharan Empire meets the Eternal Kingdom, there is a low-level hunting ground just outside the small town of Zand. There, a certain level 120 warrior is walking towards the town's gates after working on his class quest.

"GRAAAWW!"

[You have been overcome by the Fear effect]

[All speed has fallen by 40% for 3 seconds!]

[You cannot move correctly from fear!]

[Reaction and Movement speed has fallen by an additional 10%!]

"SHIT!" yelled the warrior.

BLAAM!----->CRASHHH!

The warrior crashed into a nearby boulder. Blood was pouring out of everywhere, dying the scratched armor in crimson.

[You have lost 40% of your health in one blow!]

[You are stunned for 3 seconds!]

"This.. is the end, huh?" murmured the warrior coughing out every word.

'I wouldn't be so worried, if only it wasn't for the fact that I already died once today,' thought the dying warrior. With two deaths in session, a player is not allowed log back into the game for 24 hours. In that much time, the top rankings would go through an upheaval. It didn't really matter to this warrior though. They only joined after the First Satisfy National Competition. Still it would be a loss.

'I mean, how could I even go against a Hobgoblin King?'

The apex goblin is known as the goblin king. They are usually three to four times the size of normal goblins, which are a bit taller than two feet(twenty-eight inches) tall. Their strength is also about three times that of a normal goblin. Goblin have different specific races, but no King passes the level eighty mark.

Hobgoblins are different. They are practically another species altogether. The weakest hobgoblins are five feet tall, and have a minimum level of 90. The Hobgoblin King is a level 180 field boss that is ten feet tall and specializes in strength and stamina. Comparing the King to the warrior is like comparing A Great White to a Barracuda.

The King started walking towards the warrior, hunched and growling all the while.

20 meters away… 18 meters away… 15… 12…

[The Stun period is over.]

[All stats returned to normal.]

[Your left arm, wrist, and hand are shattered.]

[Attack Power and Speed has been lowered by 30!]

"No use using my shield, than," mumbled the warrior. 'I should at least try a last stand. Try to go out with a fight,' He thought.

'Although it won't really do anything.'

Seeing the warrior stand up again, the King started to walk faster and faster, dragging two-and-a-half-meter battle axe through the sand.

8 meters…

5 meters…

Thud thud thud.

…BAM! The Hobgoblin suddenly lurched back and crashed into the ground, blood oozing out of its mouth. Its teeth were lying around where it was standing before.

"Wha—WHAT THE HE—BL@H!" Yelled out the warrior from shock, before suddenly lurching over and barfing blood.

'What just happened? All I saw was a sudden blur, and now the King is on the ground. Who could—," and then he saw him.

The man had red spiky hair with tan skin and was about 6 ft tall. He was wearing cloth armor for the most part, with small metal shoulder and knee pads. At his hands were some expensive looking gauntlets. His belt was slightly loose, and at his neck was a long scarf. None of his equipment was below the Rare grade level, and those gauntlets seemed to be especially special. But what was most important about him was his aura.

"Second advancement…" murmured the warrior in complete awe. What is a second advancement player doing here… it makes no sense to waste their time here.' And it's true. He's definitely not at the bottom of the two hundreds it would seem, which mean he should at least be in the top 1000.

'I'm saved…'
