Back in his room Zavaiel laid on the floor, still unconscious, but alive. Curiously he no longer dawned his armor or weapons. He was dressed in mid-grade cloth clothing, the kind usually worn by nobles who had nowhere to be. He slowly regained consciousness and sat on the edge of his bed. "What happened? Was that quest all for nothing?" he wondered. The quest now showed as completed but there was no option to claim his rewards. "A glitch maybe?" he thought. "No it wasn't a glitch" a voice said.
Immediately Zavaiel jumped up and assumed an aggressive stance. "Who are you!" he demanded. As if out of nowhere another image of him had appeared, with the same black tattoos, but with emerald green and azure eyes. Zavaiel prepared to face this new opponent but he knew he would likely lose. The copy put his hands up, "Hey calm down, I'm not here to fight you" it said. Zavaiel paused for a moment, "you talk?" he said, not letting his guard down.
"Yes I talk, I am Reynos, last of my kind" he said with a hint of sadness. Zavaiel relaxed and sat back down. "So what are you doing in my room?" Zavaiel asked. Reynos looked at him confused then it dawned on him. "Oh you must not know, allow me to explain" Reynos said as he materialized a chair and sat down. "You completed the secret nexus quest" he started. "Yea so?" Zavaiel said not impressed. It was obvious he did not know what the significance of the nexus.
"The nexus is a unique quest and can only be completed once. This is because you become the nexus" Reynos explained. "What do you mean I become the nexus?" Zavaiel asked, now more intrigued by Reynos. "The nexus continuously absorbs and releases the power of the world. It is a source of infinite power and knowledge, though extremely volatile" Reynos continued. "So what do I gain?" Zavaiel asked. "Oh right we need to finish the quest, stand up and take my hand" Reynos said standing up.
Zavaiel did as asked and the quest completed, "there now you shall see" Reynos said with a smile.

Ability: 'Astral Stone, passive'- Grants use of all magic and psionic abilities with no cost or drawbacks, can perform any/all crafting without the need for crafting stations, see guide for more details

Zavaiel could only stare in awe at the rewards presented to him, the three abilities alone made the quest worth it 100 times over. A helper took the form of a doppelganger, able to operate independently from its' master. This was the highest tier of doppelganger one could have as it was like another you and never faded. Helpers had a plethora of abilities and made life ridiculously easy. The title of demon slayer was also very useful for obvious reasons.
Zavaiel closed the window, not even wanting to look at the second page, he looked to Reynos who was now using one of the desks. "What are you doing?" Zavaiel asked as he walked over to him. "Just examining this sword you got" Reynos said. Helpers of this caliber could use all the equipment and abilities of their masters. They even have their own inventory tied to their masters'; essentially they are another being in the world.
Surprisingly Zavaiel was not freaked out by him anymore, come to think of it he wasn't freaked out at all. "Don't worry it will become more natural" Reynos says not taking his attention off the sword. Zavaiel leans back on the desk "what will?" he asks. "The not feeling anything thing. As the nexus your emotions will dissipate, can't have an emotional being with the abilities you have running around" he replied. Zavaiel thought for a moment, that actually makes sense, it's too dangerous to have emotions with his newfound power.
"So what else should I know?" Zavaiel asked. "A few things actually. One I've placed various layers of barriers throughout your person. These will ensure that you won't hurt yourself and keep your abilities hidden. Second eventually you will start thinking more logically and strategically. Lastly your current abilities are being extremely limited by me, as you start to master your abilities I will limit them less and less" Reynos explained.
Zavaiel thought for a moment, what Reynos said was the best option at the current time, but what more was there? As of right now the abilities he possessed out classed anyone he could possibly face. Suddenly another quest appeared. System: 'Wrath of the gods'- Find the ancient library. "Wrath of the gods? Ancient library?" Zavaiel said. Reynos turned his attention to him "you must really be special, to receive the nexus and now this? Who are you?" he asked intently.
"I wish I knew" Zavaiel responded looking at the floor. Reynos took the hint and returned to examining the sword. There was a long silence between them, one could hear a pin drop. Zavaiel laid in his bed and closed his eyes, slowly he fell asleep. Reynos looked at him, he understood how he felt. "Should I tell him?" he wondered. Reynos pondered for a moment and then resumed what he was doing. When Zavaiel awoke Reynos was standing over him. "Get dressed, we are going to the ancient library".
