Clair's letter Compelled Joy to think about her own happiness, her dreams, that she has been suppressing for more than 3 years for her responsibilities, She was scared that if she decides to choose her happiness over her responsibility then she might do any unjustice to Lisa, or Mama. It was not that she couldn't choose both and have a beautiful life for her, but what she was scared about was that what If one day she would have to choose between them, what would she do then, That would only hurt her the most.
And Joy already saw so much pain and hate in her life that she does not have the capacity to get hurt anymore by someone she loved the most.
Clair's letter, Drake's Caring behaviour, his concern for her little things kept appearing in Joy's head.
" I Know Clair said all of this because she wants me to be happy, but I don't think God has given me that permission to live for myself yet, I can't do this Clair, even If my heart wants to, I need to restrict it, I Can't break these walls I had build in my hearts fo years just to live my dreams, my life, then who would take care of Mama, who could look after Lisa who has been falling apart because she thinks she might never achieve her dream, I need to build these Walls, Clair so that I could Help my Princess to climb the ladder of her hardships and be whatever she wants to be.

Joy head was batteling with all of this thought, she was trying to resist her heart from falling in love, could she do that? has anybody ever done that ? is that even possible? because the heart never does what we think, it just falls for someone and you might not even realise it that when did you start felling head over heels for someone.
This new year Brought many things for Joy, Lisa's new side that Joy never saw, Clair death and confusion about what she feels for Drake.
Time flies,2 months have passed since Claire's death, Joy tried at many places for Job but everywhere she faced Rejection.
and Drake did not forget to stay be her side by any way without making her realize.
Spending time with Drake, his care for her, his habit of remembering her little needs was making Joy feel flustered around him, which was confusing her.
Joy was working on her Day-shift, she cleaned all the floors, and finished her work, she went to the cafeteria with Peter, As she was having her lunch, Joy looked around and asked, " Hey Peter? Have you seen Drake today? haven't seen him all day, He is usually in his office at his hour but he was not in his office when I was coming back from 14th floor".
" Uh? you are right noona, I haven't seen him either, he always comes to the General Ward on 1st floor to check on few patients but today he did not come in place of him Doctor Embrey came. I don't know where he went" said Peter.
Okay! Said Joy and left after finishing her lunch. Joy at first thought of calling Drake but she hesitated to do so.
Joy got busy in her work, the whole day passed but she did not see Drake anywhere around, this was bothering her a little, she felt like something was missing but she kept ignoring it.
After Joy's day shift got over, Joy Looked around for Drake, but he was nowhere to find.
" Hmmm? He never fails to come for coffee after day-shifts gets over, How come he did not come today, Is everything all right? should I call him, What if he thinks I am missing him, But Joy why would he think that I am his friend, and friends worry about each other, I should at least call to check if he is fine or not." wondered Joy.
Joy tried Calling him but his number was unreachable. Joy was worried about him. As Joy was wandering in the corridor on 1st floor She saw Embrey, Joy thought about asking her as she is his Girlfriend and she must know where he is? but Joy was afraid of what Embrey would think about her.
But Anyway Joy mustered up her courage and went to her and said, " Hey Embrey, How are you? "
I am fine Joy, what about you, I am sorry for Clair's Death, I could not attend her funeral, I was in London for a month attending a Seminar and some work. I came back yesterday." said Embrey looking at Joy with her fake evil smile.
It s Okay Embrey I understand, Work is work, We can't deny it, Joy hesitated to say it, Embrey Interrupted her and said, " what is it, Joy is there something you want to say to me?"
"Uh? hmm... I wanted to ask you that Do you know where Drake is, I mean, He is always in the hospital most of the time working, its been whole day, we did not see him anywhere and his number is unreachable too, so we were worried and I thought, you might know where he is?" Joy Asked hesitantly.
Embrey at first was surprised and wondered why Joy thinks that she might know where he is? She looked at Joy and said, " And why you think that I might know where he is when he doesn't even tell you where he was going?"
"Because you are his girlfriend, so I thought you might know about him". as Joy said this Embrey looked at her in surprise and said," what? His Girlfriend? Me? who told you that?"
Uh? Hey? It's okay I know about two of you, Drake told me about it, So You don't have to hide it from me" said Joy.
"Oh!! Drake told you everything, that we are together, he said that? yeah we are, I was just being cautious Joy, Nobody knows about us here, we haven't officially told anyone in the hospital, so I got little scared when you asked me about him this straight" said Embrey as she understood that Drake was lying to Joy about them, She didn't miss the chance to take advantage of this.
" and Yeah I know where he is, actually My father, I mean, Director asked him to go the Ariana City not too far from here for some urgent work, so he went there early in the morning, there's a lot of network problem in that area, that's why his number is Unreachable, but you don't have to worry about him Joy, I am here for him, and he would be back by 8 PM," said Embrey in a tone that depicts she has more right on him then Joy.
Joy looked at Embrey and said, "Yeah! Of course, He has you to worry about him, but he didn't tell anything about it, so I got a little worried about ", Before Joy could say anything, Embrey cut in and said, " But he told me, and I think that was enough, maybe he didn't think it was necessary to tell you?"
"Yeah, you are right, It was not necessary for him to tell me, he told you, that's what is important, Okay, then see you, Embrey, I will leave now as its time for my Night -Shift," said Joy and left.
There was a sadness in Joy's voice when she said it, Something feels strange to her, Even though she knew that Embrey was his Girlfriend and he told her where he was going, but she feels sad that why he did not tell her?
" Why Do I feel sad, if he Did not tell me? It's not like he needs to tell me everything? if he wants to tell something, He has Embrey by his side, But Why I feel so strange about it? I don't know, what is happening to me "wondered Joy.
After hearing that Drake is Fine, Joy was relieved and then she went to the rooftop like she always does, after half an hour when Joy came down, she saw, there was huge chaos on the ground floor in the emergency room, Doctor Ryan, Embrey and Peter were in there.
As Joy saw all this chaos, She went to the Nurses who were talking and asked, " Hey? What is happening there? is there any Serious case in the emergency room"?
" Yes, It is, But you have nothing to do with this, Cleaning Lady, so just go back to your work," said a Nurse rudely.
Joy tried to look inside, but she could n't see it, As Joy was about to leave, she saw Peter coming out of the Emergency room, she ran to him and asked, " Hey Peter! What's happening, why is there's so much chaos in the emergency room, is there a serious case, si there anything I could help with".
" Peter looked at Joy with slight tears in his eyes and with a worried expression on his face, " No, Noona, I think you should just leave, I would tell you everything later".
" What Happened Peter? why there are tears in your eyes and why is your face looking so pale, who is in there, Peter, is there someone you know? " asked Joy with a concerning look on her face.
" Noona, Please Just go, I would tell you everything once its all good, Please go for now Noona," said Peter she tried to avoid Joy's question.
" What is wrong Peter, If you won't tell, I am not going to leave, Please tell me who is in there"? asked Joy anxiously.
"It's Doctor Drake Noona, he is in there, he was coming back from Ariana City, A truck in highspeed hit his car from the back as he could not see his car due to heavy snowfall and Dark. He is badly injured Noona, Doctors are saying, that he had fractures in both of his legs and arms, and some Internal injuries too, They are taking him to surgery," said Peter as he couldn't hide it anymore from Joy.
As Joy heard that, She was shocked, She couldn't move, she stood there like a stone, she couldn't believe what she was hearing, her body was shivering in fear, Joy ran to the Glassdoor of emergency Room and looked, He really was Drake, He was lying there unconscious, covered in blood, his face, his clothes all were covered in blood.
Embrey, his heart has stopped, Nurse, Bring the defibrillator, keep it charge to 200 joules, said Doctor and started performing CPR on him, then Doctor said, " Clear" and he used the defibrillator on Drake.
Joy was seeing this horrible scene right in front of her eyes.
" Please! Please Wake up Drake, Wake up, you have to wake up, You can't leave me like that".
The doctor again said Clear and put one paddle above and to the left of his heart and the other slightly beneath and to the right, but there was still no vital sign.
the other doctor again Performed CPR and, He again said Clear and put the paddles on him.
"Please Don't Die, Don't Die, Wake up Drake, Wake up, Please!!"Begged Joy. Tears were felling from her Eyes, Joy was crying, she was praying and suddenly, When Doctor Put the paddles on his chest third time and gave him the shock, his heart rate got normal again and his vital sign became stable again.
" Take him to the operating room right now, we need to operate on him.and they took him to the Operating room for the surgery.
Joy ran after them, she sat outside the Operating room, She saw Embrey going inside the Operating Room. Joy ran to her and said, " Embrey? Embrey, How is he? Please tell me? He would be fine, right"?
Embrey was sad too, She shouted at Joy, " Please stay away from him Joy, Please, It all happened because of you, Do you know why he got into this accident, he was calling someone do you know who he was trying to call? You Joy, You, If you haven't called him before, then he wouldn't have hurt himself, Its all your Fault Joy, Don't you dare go near him Joy, Don't you dare" and Embrey stormed off in anger to the operating room.
Joy sat down on the bench all stunned, She could not believe, that Drake got hurt because of her, She broke into tears.
" He got into an accident because of me, why every person who becomes part of my life always gets hurt, why? Am I that Evil? Lisa, Mama, Clair and Now Drake, Everyone gets Hurt because of me? I should have never gone near him, Please just be fine Drake and I promise I won't ever come near you to hurt you again, please just be fine Drake Please, Its all my fault, I am sorry Drake, I am Sorry" said joy as tears of losing a loved one kept falling from her eyes.
Joy could not believe, that she hurt Drake, Drake, Who stood by her side always, and did she do for him, She thinks she was responsible for this and promised that she won't ever go near him, as Embrey asked her.
Embrey got a chance to get between Joy and Drake by using his accident as a tool. would she succeed in doing that?
Would this Accident turn everything upside down for both Joy and Drake and would help Embrey to have Drake, and would help her to get Joy Away from Drake? or Would Joy finally realise what she really feels for Drake and would give him a chance?
