A week passed, After seeing Drake and Embery together💏, Joy tried everything to not get close to Drake, because every time she gets close to him, her heart💖💖 flutters💕 and she could not control it.
she was scared to spend time with Drake because she knew, the more time she would spend with him, the more she is gonna fall for him and that would just hurt😞 her. But she also could not avoid him, because that would make Drake think that, what he did has affected her, and he might discover that she likes him.
And Drake was in a dilemma that how he was going to make things right after what happened?
Both Drake and Joy were helpless, they both wanted to explain their part of the story to each other, but they can't🤦♂️🤦♀️. What kind of a dilemma is that, where you know what you need to do, what you can't do it because that's only gonna hurt the person you love?
Drake had completely recovered from his injuries and now he is back on duty, But he was worried about Joy, he feels, that ever since Joy saw him making💏💋 out with Embrey, she's been avoiding him a little and every time he would try to talk to her about this, she would just leave.
" Maybe she is angry😤 at me? because I left her alone that night to come to the hospital all the way alone by herself, I know I was irresponsible, but How could I tell her, why I could not come with her that night" Wondered Drake.
Drake wanted to sort it out with Joy, and wanted them to get back the way the used to be? He left his office to find Joy and talk to her, Joy was working on the 11th floor. he reached there and saw Joy.
" Hey Joy🙋♂️? are you busy?" asked Drake.
" yeah! Drake, I am busy, I still have three floors left to clean, but what is it"? asked Joy.
But before Drake could say anything, a stanger interrupted Joy and him, It was Mr Kim.
" Hello! Joy, How are you?" asked Mr Kim.
Joy looked at Mr Kim and said, " oh! hello, Mr Kim, I am good, How's your son Now? "
" Oh!!, Joy, he is fine, it been a week, and the doctor says that he is recovering very fast😇, maybe by the end of this month, they might discharge him," said Kim, as he looked joy with Gratitude😇 in his eyes.
" that's Great, Can I know his name?" said Joy. " Yeah! his name is Lucas", replied Mr Kim.
"Lucas, Okay, I would pray, he gets better soon," said Joy and starts to leave to her work leaving Drake there.
Mr Kim stopped her and hesitantly said, " uhhhh, Joy, I know you already had done a lot for us, but Can I ask you a favour ?"
"Joy turned as Mr. Kim stopped her, and said, "Yes, Sure Mr Kim, What is it?"
"Actually, my son wants to meet you, so, can you? If you are free?" said Mr Kim hesitantly."
"Your Son? Joy hesitated a bit and then said "Okay, where he is?" as she got worried a little about , why he wants to meet her?
" Oh! Joy, thank you, he would be so happy😄, thank you so much, come with me" said Mr Kim and he took Joy to the General ward where His son sitting on his bed.
Drake followed🏃♂️ her, and said annoyingly😒😒🤔, " But you said, you were busy a minute ago".
"Shh… Drake, we can talk later, Okay? said Joy and went to meet Lucas.
Joy went near Lucas, and said, " Hey! Lucas? I am Joy, How you feeling"?
Lucas who was sitting on the bed, looked at Joy and smiled, " I am good" Angel" said Lucas with a wide smile😇😇 on his face.
Joy looked amazed when , she heard Lucas calling her angel👼 and said, " But my name is Joy, Lucas".
" I know, But can I call you angel,👼" asked Lucas smiling.
" Okay, You can, your father said, you wanted to meet me? so, what is it?" asked Joy smiling.
"Can I hug you?" asked Lucas with a quiet smile on his face. Joy Looked at his Father, Drake then Lucas and said, " Yes, you can".
Lucas stood up from his bed and hugged Joy warmly and said, " Thank you! you saved my life, you are an angel👼👼".
" No, I didn't Lucas, the Doctor who did your surgery saved you, you should thank him he is your angel ,not me" said Joy Smiling.
" Daddy says, God sends angels 👼down for people like us, who need help, and you helped my Dad,you gave him your money for my surgery, If you had not given money to dad, then Doctor wouldn't have operated on me, So, I know You are an Angel, but you don't want anybody to know that's why you have hidden your wings, right🤔🤔? said Lucas, amazingly as he looks at Joy's Back to check if she has Wings.
"Oh!!, Lucas, you are so sweet, but I am not an angel, I am just like you, but do you know what? I helped your daddy because he is good Man and he loves you💕, So, just remember, that you don't need to have wings to be an angel👼👼 when you do good to others, you became angels for them, So, Promise me, that If ever in your life you saw a person in need, you would help them out and would become their angel👼, Okay"? said Joy as she looked at Innocent Lucas and smiled.
"Okay, I promise you, Angel," said Lucas. Joy then turned to Mr.Kim, and said, " Take care of Lucas, Mr.Kim, He is great Child".
Mr.Kim respectfully folded🙏🙏 his hands in front of Joy to express his gratitude towards Joy and said, " I Don't know , how I am gonna Repay you for saving my son's life, You gave the money💸💸 that you saved for your Sister to me, even when you knew that you need it too, I would always be grateful to you Joy, and I would try to pay you back as soon as possible, I promise".
Joy looked at him and smiled😇, " Mr.Kim, what I did was something, my Mama had taught me, and you can repay me once Lucas recovered till then, you need to look after Lucas", said Joy and then she left.
Drake Followed Joy when she left, He kept Looking at Joy with a smile😁😁.
" Joy looked at him in asked him, " why are you looking at me like that🤔? is there something on my face? Don't you got work to do?"
" Drake Grinned😁😏 at joy when she asked him and said, " nothing, I was just wondering, what If what Lucas said is true? What if You really are an angel👼🤔?Joy? "
" really Drake, He is just a child, do you really have to make fun of me that way😤?" said Joy annoyingly.
" No, Joy? I am serious, You know , you are too kind and humbled 👼👼to be a human, only an angel can be that kind and beautiful" said Drake a she looked Joy in the eyes.
" Joy looked at him and their eyes meet, but She abruptly backed off and tried to avoid Drake gaze and said, " Okay, now I have a lot to work, So I am leaving, see you Drake". and Joy gets in the Elevator.
" But Wait for a second Joy, I need to talk to you😏, Where are you going? just listen to me, said Drake as the Elevator Door closed.
" As Joy reached the 12th floor , she started working, Joy was cleaning the floor, when Suddenly A strange voice approached her.
" Hey! you Whore girl? Can't you do your cleaning work,Properly😤😤? See You didn't clean under my Bed, Do you want me to kill you?, it stinks here, I want to go out, why you people don't let me go out? huh? said a Patient in his 30 sittings on his bed.
" Excuse Me Sir, Please watch what you say? If you have any problem regarding my Cleaning, You can tell me, You don't have to use such vulgar words😒😒? and I will clean under your bed again, said Joy with little anger in her voice.
" Joy cleaned the Floor again, and went to Nurse Priya, and asked her, " Hey! Nurse Priya, Who's that Man, seems like he is the new patient?"
" Uh? Yeah, Joy, He is Doctor Embrey's patient, he got admitted yesterday for treatment, but he is very rude and a complete pervert and seems like a psychic, I would tell you to just stay away from him" said Nurse Priya.
Joy then started changing bedsheets and looked at that man and wondered, " Ahh!! that man looks kinda scary😟".
As joy was changing Bedsheets, Embrey Came in to check on patients, she saw Joy working and said, " Hey! Joy, how you doing?"
" Hey! Embrey, I am good, How are you?" asked Joy as she came to change the bedsheet of Patient's bed beside Embrey.
" I am all good Joy" said Embrey then she starts checking on the patient with Nurse Martha.
After checking on a few patients Embrey came to that Man who earlier misbehaved with Joy, he was lying in his bed with a frowned face.
"Hello! Mr Wilson, So how are you feeling Now? Do you have any issues in breathing?" asked Embrey to that Man.
he Frowned and said in a frustrating voice, " Why the hell won't you let me go home😤😤, I can't spend any single hour here🤮🤮, Why don't you give me any med and send me home you bitch🤬"
when everybody heard than Man, they opened their mouth in shock😲, Joy looked at Embrey in shock, she could not let anybody Disrespect her Friend.
Joy Interrupted In and said, " Excuse me Sir, but this is not the way to talk to a doctor, you can't be rude to the people who are taking care for you? said Joy in Anger😤.
"Oh! Really ? you little trash, Now I would have to learn from you, how to talk?" said the Man with Disrespect.
Embrey Could not stand his rude and vulgar behaviour and shouted, " Mr.Wilson, you need to stop right now? you can leave this place, once you get your reports, Okay? and Don't you dare talk to me in that tone".
That Man became so aggressive at Embrey harsh words, He looked around him and took the forceps kept on the tray beside other Patient and aimed it at Embrey and said, " Hey, Just get out of my way🤬, I am going out, I don't want a bitch🤬 like you to treat me, so just let me go, or I will kill you with this".
As the Man holds the Forcep in his hand, Nurse Martha Ran🏃♀️🏃♀️ away, and everybody got scared😲, Joy asked Embrey to back off, but Embrey Did not listen to her and said to the Man, " Mr.Wilson, If you don't put it down, right now, I am gonna call the police, So,just Lie down and let me treat you".
Martha Ran away from the General Ward and saw Drake in the Corridor, she ran 🏃♀️to him and said breathing heavily, " Doctor Drake? Doctor Drake? Please Come with me fast? A patient is trying to hurt Doctor Embrey, He is holding a Forcep aimed at Doctor Embrey, He might Hurt Her? Please come with me".
As Drake heard this, Even though, Embrey never did any good to him, he ran as fastly as he could to reach there.
the man was so aggressive😤😤, he did not want to hear anything and kept using vulgar 🤬🤬language to Embrey and Joy. Joy tries to Pursue him and make him calm, but he was not ready to listen and was getting more aggressive.
" so, you Won't let me go? Huh? All right then I guess I don't have the choice" said the Man.
and he moved forward to Hurt Embrey holding forceps in his hand, He raised the Forcep in the air and was about to hit Embrey with full force, As Embrey Saw the forceps coming right in front of her face, she covered her face and closed her eyes, she could not move.
When Joy, who was standing Beside Embrey, saw that man, coming with forceps towards Embrey, Joy could not think of anything else😲😲, and when she tries to push Embrey to the side to save her she accidentally came in front of that men. ( trying to cover her face with her hand).
. As Drake came running🏃♂️ to the Ward, He saw Joy, as she pushed Embrey ad accidentally came on her place.
Before he could do anything, Just In a blink of an Eye, That Man hit Joy with Forcep forcefully that left a deep cut on Joy's Palm✋. Drake Shouted, " Joy😲😲? " and ran towards the man to catch him.
Embrey hurriedly turned and looked at Joy in surprise😲. she could not believe that Joy saved her. Drake Tried to hold the Man down and soon the security guard came in and hold the Man and took him outside.
Drake turned to Joy and Looked at her. The cut on the palm started bleeding, the blood was not stopping, Drake immediately ran to Joy and grabbed her hand and wrapped the Bandages in the tray on her injured palm. Drake then held Joy's hand and takes her to his office.
Embrey was still in shock, she was standing still, she could not say a word when Drake left with Joy.
Drake Made Joy sits on the Chair, took the Bandages off her Palm, the cut was deep, and it needed Stitches.
" the cut is so deep, If this was above your Wrist, it could have cut your veins," said Drake in anger as he put the Tray on the table to treat her wound.
Drake cleaned the wound, he looked so angry😡😡, that he was not looking at joy at all, he just kept cleaning the would. Joy was looking at Angry Drake who was not saying a word to her.
" Hey, It's not that bad? why you are so angry😡😡?" you should go and first check on Embrey, she must be scared after what happened?asked Joy hesitantly😟 as she knew what she would hear would be a long angry speech by Drake.
" Oh? It's not that bad😡? huh? Who is the Doctor here? Joy? you or me😡? Huh? why the hell you never think twice before doing anything? What if something worse would have happened? and for Embrey, I will decide myself, Where I should be? Okay?
" I am sorry, but he was trying to hurt Embrey, should I have just stood still there? asked Joy.
" So, you think you think you are the one, who has the responsibility of saving everyone? right? said, Drake.
Joy could not say anything as her Palm hurt, she screamed a little as she cleaned the wound, " Ugh😣!!"
" It Would hurt a little, I am going to stitch it now, Do you want to numb your hand? asked Drake a looked at Joy with little anger and Little love.
"No, I can endure it" said Joy. As Drake began to stitch the wounds, He saw Joy,who was trying to endure its pain.
He looked at Joy and said, " Don't look at it, just look at me, and breath, Joy looked him in the eyes. Drake then put stitches and looked at Joy.
" is it hurting?" he asked while tucking her hair behind her ear💕💕, For a moment Joy looked him in the eyes and said, " No, It's fine now, I think you should go and check on Embrey Now, She was so scared, she needs you right now".
Drake stepped back, clenched his fist✊ and asked, " and Don't you? Don't you need me? aren't you scared too?"
Joy looked at him in dismay and said, " No, I don't need you, Drake, I can handle myself, So go to her now, she must be waiting for you".
Drake could not believe when Joy said that she does not need him, he turned his back and came out of his office in anger.
As Drake came out, he saw Embrey was standing in front of him, he looked at her in anger😡 and asked, " Is there anything left to do now? Embrey? she saved you today, Embrey, Don't you feel guilty? I don't know, What Joy would do when she would know that the person she saved had always tried to hurt her".
And then he left in anger.
" Embrey walked in his office, she saw Joy sitting in a chair in dismay. She walked up to her. As Joy Saw Embrey, she smiled and asked, " Hey, you are here, Drake just left to check on you😇, are you okay?"
Embrey sat beside her and said, " yeah! I am fine but are you okay, does not that hurt😟😟?"
Joy looked at Embrey and said, " No, I am okay, it does not hurt that much, but I am glad you are okay".
Embrey Paused for a moment and then said, " Joy, can I ask you something?"
"yes, What is It," asked Joy.
" Why did you save me? You could have run away too like Martha, Why you came in between?" asked Embrey as she looked at Joy.
" Because you are my Friend Embrey😇😇, what kind of a friend would I be, If I would have run away from there? I can't let anybody hurt my friends". said Joy holding Embrey's hand.
Embrey's eyes filled up with tears😢😢, and she asked, " what If I was your enemy or someone who hurt you? Would you have saved me then?"
Joy paused for a second and took a deep breath and said, " Hmm… Yeah! would have saved you then too".
" Embrey looked at her in surprise and asked, " But why? why would you save a person, who hurts you?"
" Because that's what my Mama taught me, Embrey, My Mama always told me that no matter how badly we hate someone, we don't have any right to hurt them, if we hate someone, then that's our problem, maybe there's something wrong with our way of thinking, and top of that a life is always more Precious than any Hate feeling. so Yes even if you were my Enemy, I would have saved you".said Joy Smiling.
Tears😢😢 fell from Embrey's eyes, she looked at Joy and said, " I am sorry Joy, I am so sorry, I was so wrong about you? I hurt you? I am sorry Joy, Please Forgive me"😢😢😢.
"Joy looked at Crying Embrey and said, " Hey! Embrey Why are you crying, You had never hurt me? You don't need to apologise to me? Embrey".
" No, Joy, You always thought of me as your friend, but I always tried to hurt you, I even locked you out at the rooftop in that cold weather, even when I knew that You could die there, I am sorry joy," said Embrey as sat down on her knees in front of Joy feeling Guilty.
" What? What are you saying Embrey? you locked me out at the rooftop? how could you do that? but Why would you do that? Embrey? Why?" asked Joy surprisingly.
Would Joy now forgive her, When she know that Embrey was the one to hurt her? Did Embrey really have a change of heart? She was feeling Guilty? did Joy really change her heart?
