Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: THE GATHERING OF DISCIPLES

The world stabilized. Light replaced darkness as Lee Hyun stepped out of the collapsing dungeon, the distorted space sealing behind him as if it had never existed.

The moment his feet touched the academy ground again, the difference was immediate, the controlled, refined energy of Cheonryeong Grand Academy felt almost calm compared to the chaotic density of the dungeon. He exhaled slowly.

"…Back."

But the moment his eyes lifted, he saw them. She was already there. Standing calmly, exactly where he had entered. Waiting. The Vice Principal. And beside her, that same woman.

The one who had brought him here earlier. Her gaze was fixed on him the moment he appeared. Sharp. Searching. Then it changed. Shock. Not hidden. Not controlled.

"…You…"

Her voice stopped midway, as if even she couldn't immediately process what she was seeing. Lee Hyun remained calm. But his presence had changed. Subtly. Yet undeniably.

The Vice Principal observed him silently for a moment, her eyes scanning him once, then, A faint shift.

"…Level 10."

A pause.

"…In one expedition."

Silence followed. Not disbelief. But acknowledgment. The other woman stepped forward slightly.

"…That dungeon…"

"…It was cleared… in forty-five minutes."

Her voice lowered.

"…Solo."

A deeper silence settled. Because that wasn't normal. That wasn't talent. That was anomaly.

"…That's the fastest record ever recorded,"

she added quietly, her gaze still locked on him. Lee Hyun didn't respond. Because there was nothing to say. He simply stood. Calm. Steady. As if what he had done was natural.

The Vice Principal turned.

"Come."

No praise. No unnecessary reaction. Just a command. Lee Hyun followed without hesitation. They left the area, moving back into the Core Zone, the environment once again shifting into that heavy, controlled silence that only her domain carried.

Inside her room, the atmosphere settled. The door closed behind them. And once again, they were alone. She sat down slowly, her gaze still on him.

"You adapted faster than expected."

A simple statement. But heavy. Lee Hyun replied calmly.

"The dungeon helped."

A faint pause. Then a slight curve at the edge of her lips.

"…No."

Her eyes sharpened slightly.

"You helped yourself."

Silence followed. Then, she continued.

"From now on…"

A brief pause.

"This is your path."

Her voice remained calm.

"You will enter dungeons."

"You will fight."

"You will grow."

Another pause.

"And you will survive."

Her gaze deepened slightly.

"Because after level 10…"

"…Everything changes."

Lee Hyun's expression sharpened.

"…?"

She didn't delay.

"Early levels are simple."

A pause.

"Linear growth."

Her fingers tapped lightly against the table.

"But beyond level 10…"

"…the requirements increase exponentially."

A faint silence.

"More experience."

"Stronger opponents."

"Greater risk."

Her eyes locked onto his.

"Leveling becomes harder."

"Slower."

"More dangerous."

A pause.

"And yet…"

Her gaze shifted slightly.

"You…"

"…are not following that pattern."

Lee Hyun remained silent.

But he understood.

"…SSS talent…"

"…System…"

"…Bloodline…"

Everything stacked.

Everything accelerating him beyond normal limits.

She continued.

"Your speed…"

"…is beyond expectation."

A brief pause.

"But that also means…"

Her voice lowered slightly.

"You will attract attention."

Silence followed. Not threatening. But real. Then she moved her hand slightly. A scroll appeared. Ancient. Refined. Dense with energy. She placed it in front of him.

"This is for you."

Lee Hyun's eyes narrowed slightly.

"…A technique?"

"Yes."

A pause.

"Not for attack."

"…For understanding."

He picked it up. The moment his hand touched it, The information began to flow. Not forcefully. But clearly. A technique focused on perception. Control. Awareness. Not power, but mastery.

"…This…"

Before he could speak, she raised her hand slightly. And, everything changed. The space around him shifted. Not physically, But mentally.

A moment of clarity surged through him, his mind expanding, his perception sharpening beyond its normal limits. His thoughts slowed, organized, refined.

"…Enlightenment…"

His breathing steadied instinctively. For a brief moment, everything felt clear. Every movement. Every possibility. Every path. Then, it faded. But not completely. A trace remained.

"…That…"

He exhaled slowly.

"…Was different."

She nodded slightly.

"A glimpse."

A pause.

"Of what you need to reach."

Silence settled again. Then, she spoke once more.

"I've taken another disciple."

Lee Hyun's eyes shifted slightly.

"…I thought so."

A faint pause.

"…Who?"

Her gaze held his for a moment. Then,

"She'll be here soon."

No direct answer. But enough. A brief silence followed. Then, she added.

"This will be your first time together."

Her tone remained calm.

"But remember this."

A slight pause.

"She is your junior."

Lee Hyun didn't interrupt.

"You will guide her."

"You will protect her."

"You will support her."

Another pause.

"Even if…"

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"…she doesn't need it."

A faint shift in the air followed.

"You are both my disciples."

"The first."

Her voice lowered slightly.

"And I have enemies."

The words settled heavily.

"Which means…"

"…you will too."

Lee Hyun's expression remained calm. But sharper.

"I understand."

Just as she was about to continue, the door opened. Without warning. Without hesitation. A presence entered. Calm. Cold. Sharp.

Lee Hyun turned. And in that moment, everything aligned. Silver-tinted hair. Cold, clear eyes. Unshakable presence. Min Seoah. She stepped inside, her gaze moving briefly toward the Vice Principal, then shifting. And landing on him.

A brief silence followed. Then a faint, almost imperceptible reaction. Recognition.

"…So it's you."

Her voice was calm. But carried a slight edge. Lee Hyun looked at her. Equally calm.

"…Seems like it."

The air shifted. Subtly. Dangerously. Because now two monsters stood in the same room. Under one master. And this, was only the beginning.
