"Are we there yet?" Luffy asks for the millionth time. Nami slaps her forehead and drags her hand down her face in deep exasperation, "For the millionth time, NO you idiot!" She says, annoyance in her tone. The others are also exhausted, Robin leans on a rock, Usopp is slumped, Brook looks like he was raised from the dead.. because he is.. but, Franky looks the same with Chopper riding on his shoulders also tired. Sanji's cheeriness slowly died and is now on a short temper and arguing with Zoro actively as they walk. Reiko has managed to keep Zoro from veering off and enjoys the entertainment of Zoro and Sanji's bickering, occasionally butting in to keep things interesting. Reina and Jinbei follow toward the back discussing everything from training regimes to politics, to ancient sword styles, navigation and so on. By the front however, Gigi has managed to keep Nami from snapping by some miracle thus far, between Zoro and Sanji's bickering, Usopp's complaints and Luffy's nagging.
Some more time later, right as Nami was on the verge of snapping, Gigi was desperately somehow keeping her from snapping, just before Luffy could ask again, "I SEE IT. I SEE THE TOWN!" Usopp says and the others look. Not too far ahead and barely visible through the fog... was the town. Luffy sprinted ahead and the others followed, excited that after hours of walking, it wasn't a loss.
After that, they soon arrived at the town. It was a small town with houses of stone. Street lamps lined the few empty cobblestone streets of the town as the sun was setting. "Whoa... how long were we walking?" Reina asks seeing the sun's position. "For a long time it appears." Robin tells her. The door to the tavern swings open suddenly and a group of drunk patrons stumble out, shoving one of the guys out and he falls and they kick him a bit before leaving.
The crew see this and rush to help him but he sees them coming and gets up and runs off and slams the door to his house. "Huh?? We were just gonna help him.." Luffy says confused. "He's hurt! Why did he run away?" Chopper asks distressed. Robin pats him, "Its alright Chopper. I don't think he wanted to be helped, that's all." she tells him comfortingly. "Well, this is turning out to be a great start to this. We better find the inn so we can stay the night, because i'm not walking all the way back." Nami says and the others nod.
Shortly later, they arrive at the inn, "14000 beri??? WHO DO YOU THINK WE ARE?" Nami demands, furious at the price, Gigi places a hand on Nami's shoulder attempting to reassure her, "It's only two nights, I'm sure you can lower it right?" Gigi asks the receptionist, whom seeing Nami and the look Gigi is giving to just agree, nods vigorously. In the background, at a table, Robin chuckles. Reina glances at what's happening and smirks. Reiko and Zoro have already become acquainted with the bartender and on the umpteenth drink in 10 minutes. Luffy is happily munching down the wings Sanji got, Chopper and Usopp are having tons of candy, Brook bought himself a tea while waiting and Franky is downing a cola and Jinbei watches from a corner with a bottle of water.
Soon Nami and Gigi come from intimidating the receptionist into giving them a 50% discount and they all happily eat dinner after their long walk and Reina and Robin along with Jinbei, carrying, sugar crashed Chopper and Usopp, retire early, Brook is infuriated that the jukebox doesn't work and has become the inn lobby jukebox, letting people drop a coin into hi eye for a song. Gigi, Zoro, and Reiko are having an intense drinking contest, with Gigi having a surprisingly high tolerance, the bartender is positively delighted... Until he sees Nami coming to settle the tab, and he fears for his life. Sanji carries off Luffy when he falls asleep, and Franky is teaching the other bartender how to make cola.
Later... [3AM]
Nami got Gigi to bed somehow, Gigi is wrapped all around her but out cold so Nami is a bit stuck, Robin and Reina got a private room, nobody's seen them since. Brook heard sounds he didn't ever need to hear from it but fortunately too drunk to mind, Franky is asleep, Zoro and Reiko miraculously made it from the bar and out cold, and with that, the night continues peacefully, well as peaceful as it gets for the Straw Hats
