[Meanwhile, the other Straw Hats]
After Luffy splits off toward the cathedral, the others follow Jinbei's lead to help the people. Once they get to the main area of the town, there is mass chaos, people screaming, putting out fires and praying. Nami takes charge and begins assigning tasks, "Okay, we need to split up, one team works on putting out the fires and the other getting people to safety and helping the wounded." She says. They nod and split up, Framky Jinbei, Zoro, Gigi and Reiko are the fire crew, Nami, Chopper, Sanji, Reina, Robin, Brook and Usopp are on the recovery team.
Franky, Jinbei, Zoro, Gigi and Reiko go in to help save people in the burning buildings, rushing into the burning buildings and protecting them from burning wreckage and getting them to the square where the opother team is gathering people. Franky saves a family by using his body to shield them from the falling burning debris of the house. "You're not an abomination. We were wrong, You are one of Gods finest creations. Thank you so much for helping us!" one of the people Franky saved says, sobbing with gratitude for saving his family. Franky grins, "It's alright, I SUPER forgive you." Franky says posing. Meanwhile Jinbei puts out a row of houses on fire, "Thank you, you are no monster! You are an angel, truly!" A woman says kissing his cheek in gratitude. Jinbei blushes slightly "I-It is no big deal." He insists.
With team two, the recovery crew, Nami and the mayor and enforcers work to try and figure out who is missing and get a head count and keep track of the people. Sanji cooks for the people, nodding as they thank him for helping. Some people who attended the sermon see him helping them, despite what happened earlier. Some of the other priests and churchgoers apologize to him and other crew. "I'm sorry for ever doubting you. You simply came to help and made amazing food for us and still do after everything we've done." one of the women from the choir tells Sanji. Sanji forgives them immediately, "I completely understand beautiful mesdemoiselles, I forgive you completely." He says and they try his food and immediately they all ask him for more. Sanji looks like he has ascended. With Robin, the group of patrons from the bar come to her wearing expressions of shame " We're sorry! We were wrong about you." one of them, from the group, their leader, says to Robin, all of them bowing deeply. "Yeah, you're no devil, your an angel!" the second one says, "You still help us, despite everything we have done." a third says. "We're truly sorry!" They say in unison. Reina smirks approvingly and Robin blushes, tells them to lift their heads, forgiving them and they are moved to tears and Reina ushers them on towards the rest of the crowd. With Brook and Usopp, Brook plays calming music and Usopp goes about, easing the children's terror. "SKELETON! SO COOL!" One of the kids says hugging Brooks legs. He has children climbing all over him as he plays, "Yohohoho! I feel so alive! Wait, I'm dead! SKULL JOKE YOHOHOHO!" The kids are losing their minds, laughing at Brooks jokes. Usopp tells them heroic stories to help them overcome their fear, posing dramatically in a circle of kids with starry eyes as they listen to Usopp. The mothers of the kids who formerly pulled their kids into the house at the sight of Brook now look at him with a smile as he plays with the children.
Slowly but surely, the town square fills with people and despite the town burning, the townsfolk had never been so united as men and women haul buckets of water to the fire crews and help put out fires and rescue others, the baker and the chefs working side by side with Sanji to make food for the rescued, Nami with the officials and merchants to organize rescue and fire groups, showing just how the town changed in a short period of time.
